Bright Horizons Heron Quays Nursery provides high-quality care and education for children as young as three months to five years. With a ‘good’ Ofsted rating (Nov 2019), the spacious nursery operates five rooms within the nursery, each one tailored to the children’s age groups, enabling them to safely explore and follow their own interests. This nursery provides a nurturing and stimulating environment where children can grow, learn, and develop to their full potential.

Babies are fully supported in moving from home to nursery as they follow their individual routines, making this a smooth and positive transition for all the family. There’s a milk station and nursing area, so you can feel relaxed and have privacy while taking care of the little one.

The team works closely with families to support children’s individual learning outcomes through weekly learning and playing-from-home programmes. The curriculum is carefully designed to encourage curiosity, independence and a love for learning. Educators plan a variety of stimulating activities and experiences that promote language development, social skills, numeracy and creative expression. Children are encouraged to learn through play, fostering a sense of joy and enthusiasm for learning.

When it comes to outdoor play, children are truly spoiled with the beautiful garden area and adventure garden, which includes age-appropriate toys and activities.

Additionally, the parents’ space gives families a private and welcoming area to chat with them about their child’s needs.

Happy tummies are important; that’s why a balanced menu is freshly prepared by their own onsite chef and changed regularly to encourage children to try new food.

Amazing care by the nursery staff. Loads of activities to educate the little ones and keep them busy. The nursery manager is highly proactive and takes a special interest in every child and their parents. The key person is highly trained and takes great care of my baby.

My daughter has been going to Heron Quays for one year now and the overall experience has been excellent. The staff are very caring and take very good care of the children. They also provide timely feedback on development. The app used by Bright Horizons, tracks daily activities, food intake and diaper
changes, which is very useful.

All staff, in general, it's good. But three members of staff are the best and I fully trust them. My son is always happy when I pick him up. We really appreciate it. One day I need to know the space inside.

I chose Bright Horizons, Heron Quays because they had big windows in their classrooms and they had outdoor space. Every class have had excellent key workers, who care about the wellbeing, improvement and development of the children under their care. When I told them that the consultant had referred
my son to a speech and development therapist, at their own initiative, they engaged a development counsellor from Tower Hamlets. I am very grateful for that because they arranged meetings with the counsellor and me and followed the counsellor's advice to help my son with his speech and development. I was also thoroughly supported throughout this process, until my son left the nursery. I was so impressed that they had a file with documentation on my son's progress. I cannot thank you all enough. Thank you, to one member of staff in particular and everyone at Bright Horizons!

The nursery is very good. All the staff are very kind, nice and patient. The message recording the kids is clear and useful. The food is good. My kid enjoys the time in the nursery. The toddler room is good and the toys are various.

Both my children attended this nursery and we are really sad to leave due to moving. Amazing nursery, great care, and lovely staff. Children loved attending every day. Hoping our next nursery will be as good!

My daughter started in mid-February. After just a week, she is used to the staff. She eats really well and is playing with other kids. I love that the staff update the app, almost in real time. It’s amazing, it’s like you are always with your child.

Choosing a nursery is one of the most important and stressful decision I have had to make and I feel like Heron Quays Bright Horizons, understands this. They are very good in the initial transition to nursery and work with you to address concerns. The nursery is outstanding and I feel very good about
the care my daughter receives. The staff are just wonderful and they have a lot of activities for the kids. They take the kids on walks and provide detailed feedback on the app. They celebrate a variety of holidays and cultural activities and its all an excellent stimulant for the kids. You can call anytime and speak to the key person and during Covid, they were very good in keeping us informed. Couldn't be more happy with my decision to choose this place!

I’m very happy with the nursery overall. My son has a great time there. The staff are very caring and the management makes a great effort to keep everyone happy and informed. It doesn’t have a garden which is a minus, but it’s close to the river and parks and they take the opportunity to go out for
a nice walk. The menu seems to have quite a lot of sugar (dessert on a daily basis), which I’m a little thoughtful about. Unfortunately, we don’t visit the space inside due to covid so i can’t really have an honest opinion but I trust the feelings of my little one who comes back home happy.

It's a nice nursery, my daughter loves it there. She is happy there, and I feel like she is supported in her development. The only negative thing is that the children are not taken outdoors very often, and even if they are outside, it's only for a really short walk (10-15min). I think they should spend
more time outdoors.

We had an amazing experience with our daughter, who started in the baby room in August 2019 and is now in the preschool room. The handling of the pandemic has been excellent and so has the communication with parents throughout, including the use of the new Bright Horizons app. We are so happy to have
our baby son starting there too, knowing he will be in great hands.
The staff are competent, caring and fun and they do so much more than just take care of them. Feels like a family rather than a place of work. They are inventive, they challenge kids to learn as much as they can absorb and they ensure that everybody knows everybody in the various nursery classes. We never noticed any changes whatsoever at every settlement in the new room. As a mum, it makes me so happy and relieved to see her excited to go there every single day. They are doing an amazing job!

It has been 3 months since my son joined the baby room. My son loves his key persons and enjoys spending time there. What I appreciate the most is the staff’s continuous communication and support for my son’s development. They follow the detailed routine you provide in the beginning to help the child
settle. Then, they understand the child’s preferences and interests and create a beautiful emotional bond, which I find heartwarming and reassuring at drop-offs and picks ups. They have helped my son with his gross motor skills development, communication and they are very experienced and knowledgeable when it comes to helping the child stop using a pacifier for example and exploring new activities. I asked for their advice a few times and as a first-time mum, I have found their advice helpful and it works!
They offer a variety of food options and I am happy for my son to try the different flavours. I hope the outdoor space or garden opens soon. Thank you.

My child was away for 3 months but her key person and every other staff member in the room were very supportive in taking all the efforts to resettle her back in the nursery.
As parents, the management has always been supportive and efficient.

Our son has been attending Heron Quays for 6 months. He is enjoying the nursery so much that he even asks to go at the weekend. He has been learning a lot and the staff have been very good at keeping us updated with his progress and what they are focusing on.
The nursery is also taking advantage of
the extra space they have and put together an indoor playing space which our son enjoys a lot as he is always asking to go downstairs to play.
The staff have also managed well during these unprecedented times.
These are just a few reasons as to why we would certainly recommend this nursery.

I would like to thank Bright Horizons Heron Quays Day Nursery and Preschool staff for their continuous support in these unprecedented times and clearly, the communication level of the management team has been extraordinary.There has always been timely and detailed communication and both of my kids,
one before and another one now, are part of this nursery and we have been very happy with the services. Additionally, it has been very thoughtful of Bright Horizons Heron Quays Day Nursery and Preschool administration and management to have not increased the fees in these challenging times. My daughter has been going to Bright Horizons Heron Quays for six months now and she loves it! She has so much fun and when I pick her up from nursery she's always in a super happy mood. She's now moved up to the preschool room and I can tell that they are showing great care to give her a good foundation
for when she transitions into school. She's learning letters, numbers, and phonics. They also do a lot of singing, dancing, art projects, etc. Another positive is that she is expanding her very limited appetite. She's a picky eater but somehow they get her to eat things that she'd never eat at home. Overall I feel this nursery is very well organized, very clean, and the staff seem to show great care for the kids. The only downside is that they don't currently have a garden (due to building works going on) at the nursery so she doesn't get as much outdoor time as I'd like but they do go on walks. Hopefully the garden will be up and running again soon. Thank you for running a great nursery!

Since my son has joined Heron Quays Nursery, I have been so pleased with his development. He has always been bright and confident but this has grown even more. The learning such as emerging, writing, number and creativity has really helped and he is doing really well in these areas. Staff are very attentive
and caring, and I feel confident and at ease when I have to leave him.

Nursery has been well organised during the covid period with very clear guidelines and good communication to parents. My daughter is very happy in the nursery and that it is the most important for me. It would be great if they can set up an app with the information instead of the paper they give us
every day (what activities they do, what do they eat, photos of the day...) It will be nice to see that information digitally but otherwise, I am very happy with management.

I could not have chosen a nicer nursery for my son. We have been at this nursery for 3 years and my son is so happy and surprises me often with all the things he learns. Staff is so friendly and attentive, the nursery rooms are big and bright, and the ability to address issues during an unprecedented

Job Title: Nursery Manager

Over the past 30 years, I have worked with children. I began my teaching career in an independent school where I taught music and drama to children aged three to sixteen.


During my teaching career, I realised how much I enjoyed working with young children and decided to further my education and become a Level 4 Early Years Practitioner. In addition to managing After School and Holiday Clubs, I have an additional understanding of how the Playwork Principles influence early childhood education.


Even though I'm now the manager at Heron Quays, my dedication to the children has no limits and while I will be looking after the nursery, my focus will be to introduce all my children to music and drama.


Whether it be singing to soothe babies or directing the preschool Christmas Extravaganza! I look forward to welcoming you and your child to my nursery.

Job Title: Deputy Nursery Manager

I have been working at Bright Horizons since 2017 supporting our Chelsea Nursery where I worked as a Preschool Room Leader, progressing to the Third in Charge. I soon transferred over to Bright Horizons Heron Quays where I supported the nursery for over a year as the Deputy Manager. I have just returned from maternity leave and have had a baby boy. I am passionate about my job and love working with children. Watching them grow and develop is what makes me happy.
