The Sunflower Children's Centre is an innovative day nursery offering full flexible day care and a support partnership for parents.
Sunflower is owned and managed by Mums who want to deliver the best care possible, to innovate and educate each unique child and to ensure they have the best start in the important early years.
As a paperless nursery they have a transparent electronic learning system which enables parents to access their child's learning 24/7. Throughout the day parents receive electronic updates, enabling them to feel part of their child's day and meaning they don't miss any precious moments.
The Sunflower Children's centre is a purposely built secure setting, designed to ensure children have continuous access to a covered outside area whatever the weather. The 5 points available are broken down as follows:
4 points are available for the first 5 Positive Reviews, 3 points for the first Positive Review and then 0.25 Points for each of the next 4 Positive Reviews.
1 point is available for reaching a target number of Positive Reviews based on 20% of the number of registered maximum number of service users. If the target is partially reached then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Day Nursery with 50 registered maximum number of service users has a target of 10 Positive Reviews, if it has 10 or more Positive Reviews it will receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews will receive 0.7 points.
If there are no Positive Reviews in the last 12 months, then 2.5 points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 2 years. The calculation is the same as above, except the points are divided by 2.

The staff are lovely. My daughter loves time at this nursery, she has been to another nursery closer to home, which neither my child nor I liked. It takes me 40 minutes on the bus to get to Sunflower, but it's worth it. I would highly recommend. There are so many different activities. The outdoor playground is amazing. The best nursery for my daughter.
