Partou Merchant Square Day Nursery & Pre-school opened in September 2014 as a brand-new purpose-built nursery in the newly developed Paddington Basin area. The nursery intends to quickly earn itself a reputation as the leading provider of childcare in Paddington, offering outstanding care to children

Aged 3 months to 5 years and will be open from 8:00 am to 6.00pm Monday - Friday, for 51 weeks of the year (closed during Christmas week).

My daughter loves this nursery! She adjusted really well and is always really happy to get ready to go. The team there always seem really engaging and the nursery is very clean which is non-negotiable for me. I wish that we could leave the buggy and have more photos and better quality photos on the
Tapestry app, maybe videos too.

We've been very happy with the nursery, the staff and the care. Our daughter has started at three months old and is smiling every morning. Every nursery practitioner has been very attentive to her care, settle and advance. We would really recommend the nursery.

My son has been going to Merchant Square Day Nursery for the past 20 months. He has recently left due to our family moving out of London.
I couldn’t have been more impressed with this nursery. The staff were always been so attentive, friendly, warm and helpful. I never had any doubts or worries when
dropping my son off in the morning. I knew he was being looked after to the best standard every day. The nursery always appeared so clean and tidy, the food was varied and healthy and the activities were imaginative and stimulating. I always looked forward to seeing what fun my little one had been up to on the online learning journal every night!
I am very sad that my son has left, I think it will be hard to find a better nursery. Thanks to all the wonderful hard-working staff who have shown so much love and care.

My niece was in London for holiday and her hotel was opposite the Merchant daycare. Her 2-year-old daughter was welcomed to the daycare and she enjoyed herself thoroughly. I appreciated the warm and safe care provided to my niece and her daughter. I was delighted at the good understanding given to my
niece when they had to leave London abruptly and cut their holiday short because of the National lockdown. The managers were exemplary and empathetic. Surely I encourage a visit to the daycare for your young tots if in central London.

I just wanted to take the opportunity to say goodbye on behalf of my son who had his last day at nursery last Thursday and to say thank you for all the great care he received from you. My son spent 2 years attending Merchant Square and he was very happy there. He enjoys his days there, learnt many new
things, made good friends and loved all his teachers. We are very grateful for the loving way he was cared for, we always felt he was in good hands. My son will miss his friends and all staff.

I would not risk sending your child to this nursery.
It looks all well and good and they say the right things. However, the truth is they have poor safeguarding practices.
The Merchant Square Nursery does not follow protocol. They do not follow procedures when nurturing or facilitating a safe environment
for young children.
They will smile in your face and say the correct thing but they are incapable of providing a safe accountable environment and educational experience for children whilst you are not there.
I really would not risk it. Just because it looks nice - doesn’t mean things are as they seem here.

Our daughter has attended Merchant Square Nursery for just under 2 years and started at 4 months old. At each stage of her development, from the baby room to the 2-3s, she has received the best of care. Every nursery practitioner has been attentive, patient and skilled in helping her to settle and advance.
The staff have always answered any questions promptly and kept us informed at every step. I would highly recommend this nursery.

I would certainly rate it more than 5 stars if I had that option.
All my 3 children had been to Merchant Square Nursery. Now my youngest is attending during the critical situation of COVID-19, and I am more than happy with the way they are handling the situation.
Especially with the restricted contact,
they upload the child's pictures and daily report to the app for us parents to see.
It is certainly a safe place and properly secured with several points of security to minimise any risk.
I am also happy to see the massive improvement with my child, he is starting to talk, make sentences, he also has great manners (please and thank you). I am happy to see that he is learning and also enjoying his time there. He is very excited to go to nursery and certainly loves everyone, which means that he is given proper care.
All in all, it is certainly a great place for children, and I trust that our kids are in good hands.

I couldn't be happier with Merchant Square. The staff are so kind and caring, they all know my daughter even those in different rooms. She skips in to see them every day and they are as excited as me when she does new things. It's a home away from home.

We are pleased with the level of care our children are experiencing at Merchant Square. They are happy and enjoying their time at the nursery. They have plenty of learning opportunities through play. The environment is safe and staff are friendly and caring.

We have been very pleased with the nursery. Our daughter has been in the baby room for 5 months (since 11 months old) and the team have been lovely. The head of the baby room and our key person were our main points of contact but it was lovely that all the staff built relationships with the babies,
so drop off wasn't limited to certain people. The team (staff to management) do well to foster trust. The nursery is clean, things are organised. There is generally a relaxed vibe which we really appreciated. We've been so grateful that we genuinely feel very comfortable with our daughter being at Merchant Square Day Nursery, no stress or guilt at all our end. A really lovely team.

I hold a level 4 qualification in Childcare and Education, and I have had the privilege of working with children of all ages during my childcare experience since 2005. I am very proud to be able to work with children in their Early Years; being an educator at the most crucial stage in children’s lives.
