Our daughter loves to go to Fennies Horley! She had started over a year ago and every day she comes back satisfied from her day in preschool. We had a tough year but the management and staff have been fantastic throughout the pandemic, with great, physical support in school and online for children who
were isolating. Would definitely recommend.

Absolutely would recommend Fennies to all parents looking for childcare. Both my children are very settled within the nursery the youngest being 10 months, gets super excited when pulling up each morning to go in (That says a lot)! The staff are all very caring and make the girl's daily experience very
comforting. Making both my girls so settled within the Fennies environment. Both my girls are excelling for the ages. With my 3 year old now speaking and singing in Spanish! Fennies is a very professionally run nursery, having dealt with the Covid situation in the past year amazingly. The team have made us feel reassured all the way through and confident for our children to still attend. I would 100% recommend any child joining this wonderful setting.

Fennies Horley has been the absolute best decision. My son is so happy in the setting and has built the most wonderful bond with his key person, who is honestly such an asset to Fennies Horsley. We have needed some support over the last few months and the management have been so wonderful. I cannot
recommend this nursery more.

My daughter has been attending Fennies Horley since she was nine months old, she is now three and will soon be going off to primary school. I cannot thank Fennies Horley enough for every single thing that they have done for my daughter. She is so smart, intelligent and so positive! I love hearing about
her day when we are walking home. The staff are so kind and supportive. I recommend Fennies Horley to any person that asks me about childcare. When my daughter leaves I’m not sure who will miss the staff more, me or her!

Going from lockdown to nursery in a new area was such a daunting thought. My baby had barely left my side, and I was just as nervous as him! I couldn’t have felt more reassurance from the team at Fennies Horley. He took a little while to settle in, but we received updates and photos showing him getting
more and more confident by the day. When I drop him off now he barely looks back! He absolutely loves his days at Fennies and has come on in leaps and bounds. Nothing is too much trouble, and the teamwork so hard to make sure everyone has a wonderful time whilst upholding fantastic safety standards during Covid. The nutrition is brilliant, and the chef is always making exciting new dishes. Starting nursery is a big decision and a huge change, but our transition was made so much easier by Fennies. Thank you for all of your hard work!

Fennies is a lovely nursery with lovely and caring teachers, and my daughter is very happy there. Fennies have responded very well to the Covid crisis by making all the necessary changes to the rooms in order to accommodate children of key workers as well as the bubble system introduced by the government.
As my husband and I are both key workers, my daughter attempted nursery during the national lockdown as I always felt confident to send her into the nursery. The only thing that is not ideal is the frequent change of staff between rooms. My daughter has been at Fennies for a year and a term now and she’s on her 5th key person, which, in my view, is a little too many for the length of time that she’s attended the setting.

Our daughter joined the Explorers room straight after the first lockdown. At 1 year old, she couldn't remember what it was like to be around other babies or people, so we knew settling her into a nursery was going to be challenging, particularly because I couldn't be there with her during the settling
in period. The management team were so flexible to allow our daughter to take her time and build up her confidence being around new people. The Explorers team were so caring, giving our daughter lots of cuddles and attention. It then wasn't long before our daughter was happy to walk into the nursery with a smile on her face! She absolutely loves going to nursery and the amazing team who look after her. She has grown in confidence, is a little chatterbox at home and has learned so many new skills. We are relocating and so sad to leave Fennies. I don't think we could have found a better nursery and more caring team to look after our daughter. Thank you so much!

Fennies lives up to its outstanding Ofsted rating as every part of their nursery and care of children is outstanding. During the 10 months that my son attended Fennies there is nothing that I could say could be better or improved.
They are brilliant with the children they look after and their parents.
They always listened and put in place what we asked, for example, potty training and nap times.
Absolutely brilliant!

Fennies is a lovely nursery for our two-year-old son - he's been there since he was ten months old and we are very happy with all that the wonderful team do for him. They take us along on their journey with him and we appreciate all the little extras, they really do go above and beyond for him. He's
made so much progress and it's all down to the wonderful team and their management. A big thank you, as always you're the best.

My daughter started here a few months back and she has settled in so well. She is still only a little one but I can see the bond she is making with her key person and all the staff in the room, she smiles at each of them in the morning. The girls are so caring and always go the extra mile to make sure
she and I are happy.
The rooms are so well presented and I can see what things she is doing in the day. My little one seems to really like the food and always eats her food and the chef is catering to her weaning needs.

Fennies in Horley has provided an amazing home from home environment for my son since he joined last October.
The staff are all friendly, warm and welcoming and each day my son is cared for and stimulated with a range of well thought through activities. He has truly flourished since joining the nursery.
I
recently attended a stay and play session and was really impressed with how organised the baby room is. The food on offer each day is delicious and nutritious and each day my son enjoys something new and tasty.
I am really impressed with Fennies in Horley and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them to any of my friends.

Staff have always been very friendly and can tell my son aged 16 months really loves it at Fennies. The team have been very supportive, bringing out the best in my son and feel very comfortable leaving him at the trusted Fennies. The level of communication on a daily and monthly basis has been brilliant.
At first, when I visited I was concerned the outdoor area was too small. However, they make up for it with trips out and about and make good use of the space, plus inside makes up for it. Overall very pleased.

Fennies Nursery in Horley is an amazing nursery. The nursery itself is spotless, bright and beautiful and the staff are a wonderfully social and a friendly team. They are very accommodating and understanding and always happy to have a chat with the parents and children. My daughter is just turning 2
and has been with this nursery since she was 13 months old. She started out in the "baby room" and has recently just moved to the "toddler room". She has been cared for like she's one of their own, with plenty of cuddles and affection, but she has also developed beyond what I could have hoped. She's learned so much and her eating has greatly improved since starting at the nursery (an award winning children's cookery book writer has personally designed their menus for all ages). I've watched her grow under the team's guidance and nurturing. My partner and I couldn't be happier with our daughter's progress and treatment at this nursery. Would highly recommend.

Our daughter started at Fennies after Christmas at just under 5 months old and she is having a fabulous time. From even before we registered her the manager has been extremely helpful and supportive, enabling me to return to work confident that my daughter is being cared for in a happy, friendly environment.
I couldn't be happier with the care that she is receiving and even in the few weeks she has been there I have noticed a difference in her interactions and development.

I am very pleased and impressed with Fennies in Horley. The staff are all welcoming, caring and friendly, making settling in much easier for both parent and child. The resources are good quality and well rotated, allowing different experiences for my children each week. The meals are nutritious and
appealing and are also well rotated. I am most pleased with the way they allow the children to determine topics, themes and outings based on the childrens interests at the time. They recently went to a local stables after some of the girls were playing with My Little Pony. Great nursery, brilliant opportunities.

Current Review Score: 8.7 (8.697)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 8.7 (8.697) out of 10 for Fennies Horley, Albert Road is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.3 out of 5 from 11 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 4.4 out of 5 from 9 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Day Nursery is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.328 for Fennies Horley, Albert Road is calculated as follows: ( (84 Excellents x 5) + (23 Goods x 4) + (12 Satisfactorys x 3) + (7 Poors x 2) + (5 Very Poors x 1) ) ÷ 131 Ratings = 4.328
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 4.369 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Fennies Horley, Albert Road is based on 9 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 10 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, and then 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews and then 0.1 Points for the next five Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.100, 7th = 0.100, 8th = 0.100, 9th = 0.100, 10th = 0.100) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.1 + 0.1 + 0.1 + 0.1 = 3.9
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the number of registered child places in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Day Nursery registered for a maximum of 50 child places has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 96 number of registered child places is 19.2. 9 Positive Reviews ÷ 19.2 = 0.469
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Day Nursery does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
