My little boy is nine months now, starts crawling around. I am concerned about the cleanliness in the baby room because I saw his trousers and socks are very dirty when I pick him up in the evening. It seems he is mopping the floor by crawling around. I can’t imagine how much dust could go into his
mouth when he bites his fingers.

Our child has been at the nursery for 15 months and is full time, 5 days a week. The new management team has made a real and extremely positive difference to all aspects of the nursery. The entire atmosphere is bright, professional and caring as a result.
The manager always has time to listen and
is always looking for ways to improve. The facilities are great and with the new garden, the children spend a lot of time outside. Most importantly the vast majority of the nursery staff really seem to care about the children and everyone knows who each child is. The housekeeper is particularly lovely.
Our child is thriving here and I send him to nursery each day not only knowing that he is safe but that he is happy.

We have been very happy with this nursery. The activities for the kids are very varied and most of the staff are excellent. The new manager has made lots of changes for the better and whenever I have had any concerns these have been taken seriously and addressed. I would not hesitate to recommend this
nursery to friends.

My darling daughter started at the nursery when they first opened. I have looked at other nurseries around the area and we chose Clapham Village. The staff were always helpful and the children have a good rapport with them. My darling daughter always comes home happy after spending the whole day with
her teachers and friends. I have recommended Clapham Village to our friends and neighbours and happy that they too have considered sending their little ones.

My son started the nursery earlier in the year and I felt extremely comfortable leaving him right from the start. Which was very important to me as he is my first and I was very anxious about leaving him to return to work. I looked around quite a few nurseries before choosing this one and it was the

Both of my children started attending Bright Horizons Clapham three months ago after a recent move. The administrative staff have always made themselves available to answer any questions we have, and been able to provide flexibility and guidance in light of our recent move.
The room leaders are clearly
experienced, and listen to understand the children's routine and likes/dislikes. Other room leaders have also taken the time and effort to get to know our family, to ease the transition for the children and ensure they are settling in and making friends.
The nursery offers an incredible range of activities and excursions, and both children come home smiling, having learnt so many new things.
I was worried about the transition and change of nursery for the children, but the team at Bright Horizons Clapham have been truly wonderful.

My 15-month-old active Son really enjoys going to Bright Horizons Clapham Day Nursery. He climatised gradually, gently building up to 2 full days and up to 2 half days a week. He has built great relationships with many of the workers, particularly his key workers. It really makes a difference that everyone
knows his name and have a good sense of who he is. He is a very active, busy boy and always comes home worn out and happy from a day at nursery. He has lots of little friends that he plays with and I'm impressed with how well all the key workers in his room know all the children they work with. They are gentle but firm with lots of varied activities and my Son's confidence keeps developing under their watchful, nurturing eye. I'm very happy with the flexibility, care and communication from nursery. Thanks, Bright Horizons Clapham!

Our daughter (now almost 2) has been at Bright Horizons Clapham for 6 months now and she absolutely loves it (as do we). The room she's in has about 10 other children which is a nice size, activities are always already set out when we arrive at 7:30 am and she's always excited to get there. The carers
in the room are always enthusiastic, friendly and clearly, enjoy their jobs. Feedback each day is always thorough, and as well as written they take time telling you about it as well. The garden space has recently been renovated, it isn't huge but very well laid out with lots of activities for children to enjoy and they use it most days. They also have a kids kitchen which they use every week which we think is great. There's an art studio which they use at least weekly and also a large sports room in case of rain so they can run around more. A weekly memo goes out without fail and all the management are excellent.
It's a wonderful nursery, and although it is expensive it is worth it in our opinion.

My son started at Clapham Nursery at the beginning of 2017 and my daughter followed in the August. I have only good things to say. The staff are great, not only with the kids but with the parents too.
Daily updates are detailed and thorough. The array of activities are varied and educational and both
kids look forward to going. My kids have also become much better eaters as the food is fab!

Our son, 2.5 years old, has been at Clapham Village for over a year and moving him from a smaller nursery has proven to be a fantastic decision. The facilities and range of activities are excellent and he enters each morning keen to see the staff and his friends. It's made it much less stressful as
working parents to have a happy child enter and leave nursery each day. Would highly recommend.

Clapham Village Nursery is an incredible place to send your child, I have two children at this nursery and they both love going there. The nursery is set up with a good balance between learning and playing. We have found the staff to be happy, engaging and enthusiastic about caring for children. I had
visited many nurseries in the area and am so pleased with Clapham Village Nursery. I feel at ease sending my girls here because of their personal approach to childcare and their opened door policy any parent is welcome at all times to express any concerns.
My youngest is in the baby room and she really loves being here because she has such a strong bond with her key worker. The head leader of the baby room has set the room up to be a perfect environment for babies to develop in. The leader of the baby room shows great passion and love for all the children in the room and has cared for both my children from before they could even walk. We love this nursery and would highly recommend it to any parent!

My son has loved going to nursery since day one. He settled instantly with the help of the caring staff and the friendly atmosphere they work hard to create. There are so many activities for him to get involved in each day. He takes part in sport, art, counting, singing, cooking and drawing. He plays
in the sand and water and is taken out for fresh air almost every day either in the lovely garden to play with all of the outdoor toys or to Clapham Common in the buggies for a walk to see the birds, flowers and trees.
The staff are warm and accommodating. Our son is happy and it is clear to us as his parents that he is very well looked after. His speech and vocabulary has naturally improved since starting at nursery.
The classes are always clean and smell fresh. The laundry room is always a hub of activity when I pass every day. The food is fresh and the kitchen staff extremely friendly.
I couldn't recommend this nursery highly enough.

After a year of my son being at the nursery, I am generally satisfied with the care and attention that he receives. My main gripe with the nursery is that the staff who look after him seem to alternate to many times, and therefore, you build minimal if any at all rapport with the main caretakers of
your child. I feel that the commentary on collecting him in the evenings is also generic in nature and that the detail needed to understand his development, care and challenges that he faces as a toddler, are not tailored at all and that there is not enough focus on "what's next" in terms of pushing the child through their learning milestones. The nursery has excellent facilities, is well maintained and I have always found it to be hygienic. However, as a place of learning and development for my child, I find myself only satisfied that they are doing what I would expect is the norm for the price that we are paying and nothing more.

Bright Horizons Clapham Day Nursery and Preschool is a wonderful nursery with caring staff and fantastic facilities. My daughter has been attending since it first opened in June 2014. She is very happy there.
In my mind there are only two downsides, firstly there is a relatively high turnover of staff,
secondly, the Preschool room has to cater to what is effectively 2-year groups, those children just turning 3 and those turning 4. To my mind, this means the older children aren't challenged as much as some of the younger ones and many parents of older children remove them from the nursery to attend a nursery school environment. I believe it would be better to have two groups - one for the 3-year-olds and one for 4 and rising 4-year-olds such that each group can be challenged more effectively and their learning can be tailored more individually to their age group.

My journey with Bright Horizons started in 2009 at our Wandsworth Common Day Nursery and Preschool. I worked alongside the team to achieve an OUTSTANDING from Ofsted and during my time at Wandsworth progressed from a Nursery Nurse to Deputy Manager and now Nursery Manager.


My passion lies in supporting our staff to provide the best possible care for the children we are fortunate enough to look after. I am excited about the next part of my Bright Horizons journey at Clapham Day Nursery and Preschool.
