The Orange Tree Day Nursery @ Hucknall is a beautiful nursery set in wonderful grounds in the centre of Hucknall. Specialist experienced staff will provide fun learning opportunities and experiences for your child from 6 weeks to 5 years of age and holiday and out of school provision for children up to 8 years of age.

The Baby Suite provides a tranquil place where your baby will be nurtured and cherished, baby music and sensory sessions will provide stimulation and fun.

Your child will have an opportunity to learn French, learn to swim and take part in 1st Ball Sports sessions.

Fully funded places are available for 2, 3, and 4 year olds. Please feel welcome to visit at any time.

My daughter has attended The Orange Tree since she was 11-months-old. We have been extremely happy for all of this time. Special thanks to them for going above and beyond during the pandemic to make us all feel safe and well informed.

We absolutely love The Orange Tree Hucknall! All the staff are amazing and kind; they are excellent at communicating and listen, and most importantly, our little boy has thrived since being there! We will be so sad to say goodbye when we move away, the next preschool and school will have some very big

We’ve been sending our son to The Orange Tree Day nursery since he was only a few months old and he’s absolutely loved it ever since. He’s enjoyed every room that he’s moved up through in the past 2.5 years and has loved every staff member he’s come into contact with.
It’s such a welcoming nursery,
which incredible facilities and even better staff. We’ve already recommended it to people and will continue to do so. We’re already dreading the day he eventually has to leave.
We would have absolutely no hesitation in sending a child here if we were to have more. We know that our son is safe and well looked after, even in these strange times. Thank you to everyone at The Orange Tree!

My son has been at the nursery for over a year now. I cannot recommend the nursery and the team enough! I’ve never had any issue. My son's development has been amazing, and that’s all thanks to each and every one of the staff members, I cannot thank them enough. Amazing team, amazing nursery!

My son, who is 3, started attending nursery in January 2021. He had a shaky start as all children do, but soon settled when he met his key workers. They are all fantastic, so jolly and patient with the kids. The nursery, itself is beautiful, we viewed many, and this is the best by far. A huge space
with lots of things to do, including the secret garden, which my son loves. The meals are great, and during a horrible time in the pandemic, the nursery has put in place so many safeguarding things to keep the children and adults safe and healthy. Fantastic place for any child to attend!

My boy was such a shy boy, but since attending The Orange Tree, he has really come out his shell! He loves going and is smashing his milestones! His speech has also really come on since attending! I love the way they learn whilst they play and so much outdoor space for him to get some fresh air and
to run around! Also, they are working through a pandemic and putting risk on themselves, yet they still give my son the attention he needs! 10/10 from me.

Both our youngest daughter have attended Orange Tree, my littlest is still there. She absolutely loves going and is always excited to go. The communication between staff and parents is excellent. They do a varied a range of activities, and I love getting little messages and photos through the day on
the app they use telling me what my daughter has been up to. They also do the children’s daily diaries on there, which includes nappies/ toilet training and what they have eaten; this is amazing because it’s one less thing to have to remember to send each week.

The Orange Tree Day Nursery in Hucknall is amazing. My daughter is always so excited when she gets dropped off in the morning, and all the staff are lovely and so attentive. They take part in so many creative and fun activities,s and it's always so nice to see her so happy when we get our daily pictures
through. I love the app, which not only shows us what she's been up to, but what she's eaten, how long she's slept etc. It really helps keep us informed on how she's doing, and we don't miss out on anything! The food she gets is so good that I'm usually jealous of what she's eating! I can't recommend this nursery enough, and it's such a peace of mind knowing that she's getting the care and attention needed to help her get the best start.

My son has been attending Orange Tree for almost 3 1/2 years since he was 11-months-old, so we’ve been through all of the rooms now, and they are all excellent. He’s always excited to go, which is lovely.
The staff all really care about the children and their development. Their hard work has continued
throughout what has been a really challenging 2020/2021 as well. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them!

The Orange Tree Day Nursery has been fantastic for our daughter since she started. She started during the pandemic, which was difficult for us as parents to make that decision, however, the staff have been fully supportive and have included us in the journey to settling her in. They give regular updates
about her progress and her daily activities and achievements, which we find reassuring. The staff are all so friendly and professional. We would highly recommend the nursery.

My son has been attending The Orange Tree for around 6 Months and despite a rocky start he now loves his time at Nursery and loves to go and see his friends and teachers each week, which can only be a testament of the treatment and care he receives whilst he is there. Communication with The Nursery
has always been fantastic whether that be via email or directly with the teachers in each room which made for a very easy transition at the beginning of my son's Nursery experience. The facilities are good and the variety of activities available during the day are also what you would expect. I wouldn’t hesitate in sending my newborn there when he gets a little older.

My son started at The Orange Tree in April 2018 and I have had nothing but positive experiences so far. The staff are friendly and welcoming and always give detailed information on the day's activities. The nursery has been so accommodating when I have needed short notice changes to nursery times. I
am so impressed with the organisation and admin side as well. Most importantly, my son loves going to nursery, he has settled really quickly and as someone who sometimes struggles with change this means so much to me and is down to the lovely staff. Thank you!

My daughter has been attending The Orange Tree Day Nursery for around 4 months. It is a fantastic nursery and she has flourished under the care of the workers, she absolutely loves her keyworker and they have a fantastic relationship. I like the fact that the nursery has different rooms for the pre-school
children, it means they are not stuck in one room for a whole day, my daughter particularly likes the wiggle room which is a large room for the children to do physical activity, the outdoor area is also perfect with plenty of areas for shade in the summer months.


My daughter loves the food there, she stays for breakfast, lunch and tea and enjoys what is served, she never comes home hungry.


The admin team are great and always keep you updated on goings on at the nursery including what the children are working on week to week.

My daughter has been attending since March 2018 and started at just 7 months old. I can see how fast she is developing thanks to the team at The Orange Tree. I have no reservations in leaving my daughter with all the staff and she's always had such a lovely day when I pick her up. I can't thank them
enough for what they do. Professional, kind, caring and I wouldn't want my daughter to be anywhere else.

My son has been attending Orangetree for a year now and I love the setting of the nursery. There’s lots to do for the children inside and out. As the nursery is set in an old primary school, I like that children have use of the indoor gym for a break from their room and there’s so much outdoor space.
I also like that they now keep chickens which my son loves.
The staff and management are always friendly and helpful, and I have already recommended the nursery to family and work colleagues who live in the area.

As new parents to the nursery, we are very pleased with the level of care given to our children, aged 2 and 3. We feel this is more important than other requirements. Along with this, the girls are very engaging, given in-depth summaries of the day and regularly advise us of things the kids have done
during the day. Star of the day with the pre-schoolers is great. The staff give the impression that they enjoy their jobs. This reflects the great care and attention they give our kids.
