The Orange Tree Day Nursery @ Hucknall is a beautiful nursery set in wonderful grounds in the centre of Hucknall. Specialist experienced staff will provide fun learning opportunities and experiences for your child from 6 weeks to 5 years of age and holiday and out of school provision for children up to 8 years of age.

The Baby Suite provides a tranquil place where your baby will be nurtured and cherished, baby music and sensory sessions will provide stimulation and fun.

Your child will have an opportunity to learn French, learn to swim and take part in 1st Ball Sports sessions.

Fully funded places are available for 2, 3, and 4 year olds. Please feel welcome to visit at any time.

We couldn't be happier with the care our daughter receives at this nursery. The team has done a fantastic job supporting her individual needs and development.
Our child initially found it very difficult to separate from us, but the staff were incredibly patient, understanding, and supportive during
this time. Their reassurance and encouragement have made such a difference, and she is now much more confident and happily stays at nursery.
A special thank you to Evie, who helped her massively with potty training. Thanks to her support, she is now confident with toileting, which has been a huge milestone for her and for us as parents.
She always comes home excited to tell us about her day, which shows just how comfortable and secure she feels there. We are so pleased with the progress she has made and are truly grateful to all the staff involved in her care.

My daughter has been with the team at Orange Tree almost a year now, and is growing into a fantastic little human in no small part thanks to everyone here!!
She loves her nursery days, we have tears at drop off but not two minutes later she's playing and laughing with her friends. She's learnt so
much with the team, and genuinely loves her key worker and the other staff in her room setting.
From a mum's perspective I don't worry at all about her while she's in their care, they send daily updates so you can peek into their world from that day, which I love!
A huge thank you to the whole team at Orange Tree - I don't know who'll be more gutted when she goes to big school, her or me!

I've been really impressed with Orange Tree...I like the responsibilities they gave to the children (choosing breakfast, doing their own coats/shoes etc) They really care about the children and their development and I love the regular observations they send out and daily updates. My son loves going
to nursery, and I do think that's down to fantastic staff and a range of activities offered- also love the 'all weather' attitude to play. I would highly recommend.

In my personal experience, this nursery and its staff consistently exceed expectations. Both of my grandchildren attend.My eldest, who has special needs, transferred here after six months at a different nursery, and the positive transformation in him was remarkable. My youngest continues to attend,
and we are thoroughly impressed with his developmental progress at this nursery. The staff are consistently exceptional and always willing to assist. The diverse activities and grounds foster a wide range of experiences, and both children invariably return home content and pleasantly fatigued (when i can get them to leave). I genuinely cannot identify any areas for improvement within this nursery; they collaborate effectively with you to address your child's needs, and no request ever seems excessive. Entrusting your children to their care feels akin to leaving them with trusted friends. For us, it was the optimal nursery to meet our children's requirements and we aren't disappointed!thanks

We love Orange Tree in Hucknall. Our little girl has been there for almost 2 years now and she adores going. The amount of activities they do is amazing and she has learnt so much from them. Communication with parents is excellent and the staff our amazing. Big shout out to the girls in Butterflies.

Both of my children have been attending The Orange Tree since they were 11 months old. The care and attention the staff have to the children is excellent. The facilities and range of activities is excellent as the site is fairly large. Access to outdoors is amazing and there are a variety of different
toys to play with and engage their gross motor skills. They have been incredibly helpful and supportive in identifying potential SEN and supporting my child through this and putting measures in place while starting down the route of diagnosis.
I recommend them to any local parents and I am so glad I send my children to The Orange Tree. Thank you again to all the amazing staff

My little boy started here in January and the nursery have been amazing!
The updates they provide throughout the day are so reassuring and the activities they do are so good for their development!
My little boy has started crawling since being at nursery and his eating / weaning journey has improved
massively and this is all down to you guys.
He loves the staff in his room and they always make such a fuss (especially because he is forever poorly) but when he is there they make such an amazing effort with him.
Thank you for all you do we cannot wait to see how he develops over the next few years

I have twin girls that started at Orange Tree very quickly after the unfortunate immediate closure of their previous nursery. They were very accommodating; understood that we were nervous about how the girls were going to adapt. The girls have been there for almost a year now and have flourished they
love going and have made lots of friends. I have good trust in the nursery nurses to inform me throughout the day if there is anything I need to know.

The staff at orange tree are great and love all the activities they get up to! My favourite being the pumpkin foot prints! I am always updated throughout the day and Freya loves

I am so pleased with The Orange Tree Hucknall Nursery.
My kid has been attending the setting for almost 2 years and 4 months. He is super happy, setteled and developing very well.
The staff are super caring, kind and knowledgeable.
Also the management are amazing, very supportive and professional.
The
setting offers safe environment along with specious playground and gardens which I found it impressive.
I would recommend strongly this nursery.

My little boy started in the blossom room in August at 10 months old.
He has enjoyed meeting other babies in the blossom room and has been thriving.
The nursery staff have been exceptional and so supportive from the start.
He has formed a great bond with his key worker Poppy and I know he is in
great hands which has been so reassuring.
The app is updated regularly and I can see he has been involved in fun activities which are beneficial for his learning and development.
I am so glad we chose the orange tree :) x

My son started at orange tree day nursery Hucknall in August 2024 at 10 months old. He settled in so well and the nursery kept me well informed throughout the day to ease any worry. My son has CMPA (dairy allergy) and this was well monitored, and despite this allergy, the kitchen staff were amazing
and ensured he hasn't felt left out by continuing to give him a broad range of dairy free alternatives. My son loves going to nursery each day, and that is down to the staff and variety of activities and opportunities offered to him on a daily basis.

We have two children at Orange Tree and are so happy in the knowledge that they are being supported to learn and develop well there. They love attending nursery and it's always felt like a big family to us - the staff genuinely care about the children. We've always been very impressed with the extra
touches like cards being made for special occasions, events held throughout the year, projects to get involved with at home, etc.
The nursery itself is such a lovely, welcoming environment too. Overall we can't recommend Orange Tree in Hucknall enough, we feel it's one of the best decisions we've made for our children.

My little one started at orange tree when she was 11 months old and has been there almost a year. I couldn't be happier at how welcoming, caring and supportive all the staff have been. She has come on so much with her development and gets excited when we arrive through the gates. It's a huge relief
to feel I am leaving her in exceptional hands with staff who clearly love what they do.

Our experience with Orange Tree Nursery in Hucknall has been fantastic. Our daughter joined in August 2024 after moving from another nursery, and she's absolutely thrived since starting. The staff are so friendly, supportive, and genuinely caring - they made her feel settled straight away and have helped
her grow in confidence and independence.


We've been really impressed by how well they communicate with parents and by the variety of fun, creative activities the children enjoy each day. It's clear that the team truly love what they do and care deeply about every child's wellbeing and development.


Our daughter looks forward to going in every morning, and we couldn't be happier with the positive environment and care she receives. We're so grateful to the wonderful team at Orange Tree Nursery - we'd highly recommend them to any parent looking for a nurturing, welcoming place for their child.

Our son has been at Orange Tree for a few months now and is thriving there! He is learning songs, growing in confidence and is looked after so well.
They always make sure that he is looked after & fed & they have been accommodating when needing extra days here and there when we've had childcare
needs.
