The Orange Tree Day Nursery @ Hucknall

An excellent nursery that we feel confident sending our child to. The staff are all warm, welcoming, caring and knowledgable. There's a real sense that they know all the kids (they're not just numbers) and have individualised support and care. Our child's development has skyrocketed since he started attending.

We couldn't be happier with our choice of nursery for our little girl. Since starting at The Orange Tree she has grown and developed so much with the support of the kind and nurturing staff. Their communication is always outstanding and I look forward to hearing about all the wonderful activities our child has taken part in that week. We can't recommend them highly enough!

My little boy has been going to The Orange Tree Day Nursery since he was 8 months old and is nearly two. He absolutely loves going and is always happy to go to the staff in his room. The feedback is absolutely amazing and the staff are so welcoming, I get weekly observations on the eylog and he always has a smile on his face. Management are absolutely amazing and always have time to answer any questions, I couldn't recommend this nursery enough!

This nursery is great. Staff really care about your child and inspire them in wide ranging topics. No wonder it's outstanding vs all the 'good' nurseries we visited nearby. Never mind the outdoor climbing area, the secret garden and the chickens. Always able to speak to management or staff. Most recently we've heard about caterpillars turning into butterflies.

Excellent nursery that provides a safe, caring, responsive and effective learning environment. The nursery is well lead. Our child enjoys attending the nursery. He has built good friendships. The school provides a happy learning environment.

My son really enjoys going to the nursery and is always happy there. They provide lots of activities during the day for him and are always kind and caring. Their communication home is always prompt and informative.

Our daughter has attended The Orange Tree Day Nursery since she was 10 months old and is now 3. She has an amazing relationship with her key worker as well as everyone else who delivers direct care to her. Her learning is beyond expectation - she even has Spanish lessons! The Orange Tree teach the children to be independent insofar as getting themselves ready for outdoor play, baking, creating and showing empathy with peers. Staff are always so welcoming and know the parents by name and remember key pieces of information, which is just amazing. Our daughter always looks forward to going to nursery and so do we - we are 100% confident that we selected the best nursery.

Highly recommend the nursery

My granddaughter has attended this nursery for around 9 months. It was a tough decision for my daughter having to go back to work full time and leave her precious little one with complete strangers. However, I can say that the staff team now feel part of the family! Their communication is fantastic and they work so hard to help with developmental milestones. The activities are exciting and inviting, I’ve even wanted to stay and explore them! The nursery has such a homely feel to it which is why my daughter chose this one and I can safely say that they have exceeded any expectations that we had. They are safe and secure, which is something that we needed when leaving the little one. Even though I am not her parents, I get welcomed with open arms and invited to lots of outside activities such as stay and plays and garden parties. We cannot recommend this nursery enough!

My little one has been at The Orange Tree Day Nursery in Hucknall for 2 months now and absolutely loves it, he settled in really quickly adapting well to his new routine. The staff are all so lovely and always really friendly at drop off and pick up, I’m really happy with how my little boy has progressed since being there and it’s great to see updates on how he spends his days. My daughter started at The Orange Tree Day Nursery last May. She was born premature and it was a huge step for me to put her into nursery. However, I had no need to worry at all. The staff put us at ease on our very first look round, showing an excellent knowledge of how this could affect her reaching her milestones. She has absolutely thrived since attending the nursery and is excelling. She loves attending and very often doesn't want to leave to come home! The staff are friendly, welcoming and very knowledgeable about each child individually. Communication is great and is given both face to face on collection, and via the app. I would definitely be recommending The Orange Tree to anyone looking for a day nursery.

My child has been attending the nursery for a few years now and they love it! The staff are always very welcoming, helpful and supportive if you do have any questions. The EY Log app helps with communication between home and nursery. Our child is keen to go to nursery and settles well into any routine changes. We are very happy with their development and progress and we are kept up to date with our child’s next steps and targets.

My daughter loves the nursery and has been attending for almost three years. All the staff have been lovely and welcoming! My youngest is due to start shortly and I know she will also have the best time!

My son has been attending The Orange Tree Day Nursery for almost 1 year now and I couldn’t be happier. From providing extra settling in sessions at the start to putting on a Mother’s Day afternoon tea the staff always go above and beyond what’s expected. Communication is excellent and the staff provide updates both on the app and upon collection about your child’s day. The photos on the app are an added bonus too! All staff members are warm, welcoming and friendly and say hello whenever you see them. The facilities at the nursery are brilliant and include a sensory room and a play gym. I also love that it’s an all weather nursery so the children get to play outside come rain or shine. Overall I’m very happy that I chose this nursery and can see just how happy my son is being there. My daughter has been going to this nursery for nearly 2 years now and all the staff have been amazing with her, her speech has come on so much since being here and the communication between her key workers and myself is always really great and in-depth.
