The Orange Tree Day Nursery @ Hucknall

The nursery itself is such a lovely, welcoming environment too. Overall we can't recommend Orange Tree in Hucknall enough, we feel it's one of the best decisions we've made for our children.

My little one started at orange tree when she was 11 months old and has been there almost a year. I couldn't be happier at how welcoming, caring and supportive all the staff have been. She has come on so much with her development and gets excited when we arrive through the gates. It's a huge relief to feel I am leaving her in exceptional hands with staff who clearly love what they do.

My daughter started Orange Tree in July 2024, she loves it and is always so happy to go! All the staff are so lovely and have been really supportive of my daughter, ensuring she has everything she needs to thrive!

Its excellent care of my child ivaan. Personal care has been taken for self development. Really happy with the progress my son is making . All the child care ladies have been supportive and take different ways to handle our child.

Our experience with Orange Tree Nursery in Hucknall has been fantastic. Our daughter joined in August 2024 after moving from another nursery, and she's absolutely thrived since starting. The staff are so friendly, supportive, and genuinely caring - they made her feel settled straight away and have helped her grow in confidence and independence.

We've been really impressed by how well they communicate with parents and by the variety of fun, creative activities the children enjoy each day. It's clear that the team truly love what they do and care deeply about every child's wellbeing and development.

Our daughter looks forward to going in every morning, and we couldn't be happier with the positive environment and care she receives. We're so grateful to the wonderful team at Orange Tree Nursery - we'd highly recommend them to any parent looking for a nurturing, welcoming place for their child.

A nursery that truly puts your child and their wellbeing at the heart of everything that they do. I regularly receive communication about my son's progress and development, including a picture every day, allowing me to feel like I am not missing out on any milestones. They have gone above and beyond in helping his development, and I couldn't be happier.

My daughter has been at Orange Tree for around 6 months now, she has come along really well becoming more confident around other adults and children. Regular photo updates is always reassuring she is enjoying her day, and having plenty of garden time. The staff are lovely, and my daughter feels comfortable and reassured by them. I've always found my daughter playing and interacting upon collecting her from nursery.

My daughter was at orange tree from 2022 to 2024 and she absolutely loved it. Staff were always welcoming and helpful. They did amazing in improving her speech and she was more confident and fluent before starting reception in September 2024. My Little boy started 2 months ago and he has settled in really well. I highly recommend Orange Tree.

Orange Tree have been so good with my little one. They have so many brilliant activities to play with, and so much space for them all to run around. My little one loves feeding the two chickens, it's the highlight of his day.

My daughter enjoys coming into nursery, I feel the nursery is very warm and nurturing towards my child and the other children.

I love to see the daily progress reports which I receive each day with regards to my child and this is detailed thoroughly.

Any Questions or Comments I have asked these have been resolved quickly, communication is very responsive.

Would definitely recommend this nursery.

We are amazed with how quick our little boy has settled in at the nursery. All the staff are so kind and passionate. We feel at ease and reassured that our little boy is enjoying his time here getting to know his surroundings and everyone. He enjoys it that much he asks me every day when he's going back with excitement.

Our children thoroughly enjoy going to The Orange Tree Nursery and we are pleased that we can leave our children in the knowledge that they are happy and well looked after. It is a home from home and gives us peace of mind. The children enjoy the food and the kitchen accommodate our son's allergies to ensure he gets the same varied and nutritious meals as the other children but tailored to his diet. The Management and reception always make themselves available for parents and are helpful and friendly. The rooms are clean and there is a good variety of toys, books and messy play. They are very understanding of our children's needs. When we had an external safeguarding concern related to our adopted children, the nursery took it very seriously and helped to reassure us by going through all their safety measures. The staff are all friendly and seem genuinely happy to see the children. We love that we get regular updates and photos (and a daily diary entry for the younger one).

Amazing nursery! We couldn't be happier with The Orange Tree. The staff are genuine, caring, attentive, and truly dedicated to every child's growth and happiness. Both of our daughters have absolutely loved going here, and we've seen so much progress in their speech, confidence and learning. A warm, nurturing environment that feels like a second home. Highly recommend!

I would give more stars if I could! My daughter has been going here since she turned one and the staff in each room are wonderful. They are so kind and full of empathy and warmth towards the children. They greet you with a welcoming smile and give a detailed handover at the end of the day. They organise some great activities to help with development. My daughter's speech and confidence has come on massively. She's got lots of friends and really enjoys the days she spends at nursery.

It's always hard leaving your little one with someone else but I feel a high level of trust with the staff at Orange Tree, Hucknall. The staff have helped my son come on in leaps and bounds and he's come out of his shell so much since starting in March 2024. Thank you to all of the staff!

Absolutely a wonderful provider in our moment of need they opened up nursery to facilitate and try and help us Christmas period. Staff went above and beyond they were sympathetic and empathetic to our plight after we had been let down by a major alternative provider which closed its doors on the 23rd of December. The assessment was swift and thorough and we were offered a place. The transition was swift, and little one has settled in well and communication has very good platforms and they update on all aspects electronically that as a parent I feel at ease especially when in work and can check in on how little one's day is going.

My little boy has been going to Orange Tree since June 2024, he absolutely loves it and has learned too much in the short period he has been there. All of the staff are lovely and welcoming. Would deffo recommend this nursery to friends.

The staff at the nursery are welcoming, friendly and so helpful. No request seem too much for them and they are extremely accommodating and supportive. The facilities are wonderful and everything always feels so clean and welcoming. They have made it so easy to leave my children with them, as they are so kind and loving towards them. Thank you for truly helping them blossom into incredible little girls!

Our daughter started here in January 2025 and we are very happy with their approach and communication during what can be a nerve-wracking time for parents. We feel confident that our little girl will be happy here.

My daughter has been coming to Orange Tree since July 2024. Since she has started here, she has become confident and independent in so many areas. Her key workers and staff have been brilliant where it has come to my daughter's medical needs and have been extremely understanding and helpful. As a parent you worry about your child 24 hours a day, but since she has been coming here I am more relaxed and can trust her Key Worker to tell me how she has been and if anything has happened she will inform me. My daughter has started to understand her emotions and how she should manage them. It is heartwarming when I go to collect my child and see her with a big smile on her face telling me she has had a good day and she has been playing with her friends. I personally can not recommend this Nursery enough after the last awful experience I had at a different Nursery. I am grateful to them and all they do to accommodate my daughter and see how far she has come in less than a year.
