The Orange Tree Day Nursery @ Hucknall is a beautiful nursery set in wonderful grounds in the centre of Hucknall. Specialist experienced staff will provide fun learning opportunities and experiences for your child from 6 weeks to 5 years of age and holiday and out of school provision for children up to 8 years of age.

The Baby Suite provides a tranquil place where your baby will be nurtured and cherished, baby music and sensory sessions will provide stimulation and fun.

Your child will have an opportunity to learn French, learn to swim and take part in 1st Ball Sports sessions.

Fully funded places are available for 2, 3, and 4 year olds. Please feel welcome to visit at any time.

My daughter has been at Orange Tree for around 6 months now, she has come along really well becoming more confident around other adults and children. Regular photo updates is always reassuring she is enjoying her day, and having plenty of garden time. The staff are lovely, and my daughter feels comfortable
and reassured by them. I've always found my daughter playing and interacting upon collecting her from nursery.

My daughter was at orange tree from 2022 to 2024 and she absolutely loved it. Staff were always welcoming and helpful. They did amazing in improving her speech and she was more confident and fluent before starting reception in September 2024. My Little boy started 2 months ago and he has settled in
really well. I highly recommend Orange Tree.

Orange Tree have been so good with my little one. They have so many brilliant activities to play with, and so much space for them all to run around. My little one loves feeding the two chickens, it's the highlight of his day.

My daughter enjoys coming into nursery, I feel the nursery is very warm and nurturing towards my child and the other children.


I love to see the daily progress reports which I receive each day with regards to my child and this is detailed thoroughly.

Our children thoroughly enjoy going to The Orange Tree Nursery and we are pleased that we can leave our children in the knowledge that they are happy and well looked after. It is a home from home and gives us peace of mind. The children enjoy the food and the kitchen accommodate our son's allergies
to ensure he gets the same varied and nutritious meals as the other children but tailored to his diet. The Management and reception always make themselves available for parents and are helpful and friendly. The rooms are clean and there is a good variety of toys, books and messy play. They are very understanding of our children's needs. When we had an external safeguarding concern related to our adopted children, the nursery took it very seriously and helped to reassure us by going through all their safety measures. The staff are all friendly and seem genuinely happy to see the children. We love that we get regular updates and photos (and a daily diary entry for the younger one).

Amazing nursery! We couldn't be happier with The Orange Tree. The staff are genuine, caring, attentive, and truly dedicated to every child's growth and happiness. I would give more stars if I could! My daughter has been going here since she turned one and the staff in each room are wonderful. They are so kind and full of empathy and warmth towards the children. They greet you with a welcoming smile and give a detailed handover at the end of the day. They organise
some great activities to help with development. My daughter's speech and confidence has come on massively. She's got lots of friends and really enjoys the days she spends at nursery.

All staff at The Orange Tree Nursery have been exceptional at helping my little boy settle into his new nursery family. They have supported us as new parents every step of the way and my little boy loves going in on his days. The app is amazing; we love reading about his days and seeing his smiling

It's always hard leaving your little one with someone else but I feel a high level of trust with the staff at Orange Tree, Hucknall. The staff have helped my son come on in leaps and bounds and he's come out of his shell so much since starting in March 2024. Thank you to all of the staff!

Absolutely a wonderful provider in our moment of need they opened up nursery to facilitate and try and help us Christmas period. Staff went above and beyond they were sympathetic and empathetic to our plight after we had been let down by a major alternative provider which closed its doors on the 23rd
of December. The assessment was swift and thorough and we were offered a place. The transition was swift, and little one has settled in well and communication has very good platforms and they update on all aspects electronically that as a parent I feel at ease especially when in work and can check in on how little one's day is going.

The staff at the nursery are welcoming, friendly and so helpful. No request seem too much for them and they are extremely accommodating and supportive. My daughter has been coming to Orange Tree since July 2024. Since she has started here, she has become confident and independent in so many areas. Her key workers and staff have been brilliant where it has come to my daughter's medical needs and have been extremely understanding and helpful. As a parent
you worry about your child 24 hours a day, but since she has been coming here I am more relaxed and can trust her Key Worker to tell me how she has been and if anything has happened she will inform me. My daughter has started to understand her emotions and how she should manage them. It is heartwarming when I go to collect my child and see her with a big smile on her face telling me she has had a good day and she has been playing with her friends. I personally can not recommend this Nursery enough after the last awful experience I had at a different Nursery. I am grateful to them and all they do to accommodate my daughter and see how far she has come in less than a year.

My daughter has attended the nursery since she was 9 months (now 2) and she has thrived. You get daily updates and weekly photos of the fun activities they do. They make learning fun and have definitely helped my daughter meet all her milestones and the parents evenings is a cute extra where you get
to see how your child has progressed and what's their next targets.
Also the staff are all so friendly and honestly deserve medals for how they keep going all day, making the kids laugh and help them feel safe. I don't know how they do it but they are all angels.

Our experience with The Orange Tree Nursery has been nothing short of amazing! From the moment we first walked through the doors, we knew this was the perfect place for our children. Our eldest daughter has been attending for the past two years and our youngest daughter started just four weeks ago.
The staff are exceptional, their dedication and passion for what they do shine through in every interaction. Since starting at the nursery both of our daughters have grown in confidence, independence, and social skills. The engaging activities, structured learning, and creative play sessions have been instrumental in their development. Communication with parents is also excellent. We are always kept informed about our children's progress, daily activities, and any milestones they reach. We cannot recommend The Orange Tree highly enough! The care, support, and nurturing environment they provide are outstanding. If you are looking for a nursery where your child will thrive, this is the place.

My little girl feels very well at this nursery, she has developed a lot both physically and emotionally, she is sociable and more welcoming. This nursery also has very good conditions and the garden outside offers the children a healthy play space.
