The Orange Tree Day Nursery @ Hucknall is a beautiful nursery set in wonderful grounds in the centre of Hucknall. Specialist experienced staff will provide fun learning opportunities and experiences for your child from 6 weeks to 5 years of age and holiday and out of school provision for children up to 8 years of age.

The Baby Suite provides a tranquil place where your baby will be nurtured and cherished, baby music and sensory sessions will provide stimulation and fun.

Your child will have an opportunity to learn French, learn to swim and take part in 1st Ball Sports sessions.

Fully funded places are available for 2, 3, and 4 year olds. Please feel welcome to visit at any time.

The Orange Tree day nursery Hucknall completely lives up to its ofsted ‘outstanding’ name! My daughter, who is currently 18months old, has been attending now for around 6 months and she loves every day that she spends with the lovely ladies at Orange Tree. It’s so reassuring to know that my child is
loved just as much there as she is with us at home. As a covid parent myself, she’s never spent a day away from me nor has she mixed with any other children so I was incredibly worried about how she would be without me and how I’d cope without her too. But the girls have been nothing but helpful and supportive - they’ll always keep me updated and nothing is ever too much! Even my regular phone calls just to check-in! They are fantastic and the resources are amazing. I visited many nurseries before and none of them stood out like this one! I’m so happy that I made the right choice. There is a great manager and it really shows. I 1000% recommend that’s for sure!

My little one loves it there. He's learned so much as is always excited to be at school. We have never had any concerns about leaving him at Nursery. The team is always very available for any queries or concerns. I will recommend the Nursery.

We have had a great experience with The Orange Tree Day Nursery @ Hucknall so far. Despite the Covid restrictions we have still been able to build relationships with staff members and be kept in the loop with what’s going on. The daily diary published on the app is fantastic it gives us so much detail
about our child’s day. Our child absolutely loves the nursery and comes back every day happy. The facilities are much better than other nurseries we have seen.

The manager and the team are utterly fantastic. They have looked after my youngest since she was a baby and she leaves this September for primary.
Throughout her time at The Orange Tree Day Nursery @ Hucknall, the team have encouraged her creativity and inquisitiveness and have employed ‘positive
parenting style’ strategies to deal with those tricky developmental stages all small people go through.
Every key worker has demonstrated genuine care for my child to the point where she considers them part of our extended family. They are excellent listeners and also take on board strategies from home that you are trying to embed.
The learning activities that take place enable children to develop essential skills at the right pace and I cannot imagine any child leaving Orange Tree not being ‘school ready’.
The facilities are excellent and are constantly being developed and improved. The food is varied and healthy and children regularly get involved in age-appropriate food tech activities.

Our little boy has been going to The Orange Tree Day Nursery @ Hucknall since he was fourteen months old. He has additional needs but has been welcomed into nursery from the very first day we went to look round. I honestly couldn't ask for more. He has one to one support to work on his targets set by
external support. They give updates every day with photo's of what the children have been doing. We have parents evening to have an opportunity to discuss anything needed but you can just call anytime to do this also. They have also made birthday cards and cards when he has had an operation! For me, its that they understand him as an individual and appreciate his needs and milestones will be different to the other children. I felt this from the very first time we visited and I didn't get this at another nursery I looked at. I honestly can't thank them enough for everything they've done over the last two years. He is so happy at drop off and comes out very happy at the end of every day!

How do I put into words how fantastic the team at this nursery are? Our second child has just started full time here at 6 months old and despite being a pandemic baby who is very clingy, she has taken to the team so easily and clearly loves her time there as I knew she would. When we were looking for
nurseries for our first child, who is now four, we obviously did the obligatory online search but the ratings didn't quite do this place justice. From the moment one member of staff opened the gate to welcome us all those years ago, we knew our child would have not just care but loads of love as well, which is more than you can ever hope for as a mother leaving your child to strangers. The team at The Orange Tree Day Nursery @ Hucknall are so kind, engaged and happy with the children and it's shines out of them every day. My four year old still calls all her Elsa dolls after the manager and says "I miss my old nursery, I love the manager so much". Genuinely wouldn't send our children anywhere else!

My son has attended the Orange Tree Day Nursery since the age of one and is now an independent and confident toddler. The nursery provides exciting and engaging activities in their well equipped indoor and outdoor spaces. They have a wonderful sensory garden for babies, and for the older children, they
have a secret garden, which is also home to the nursery’s chickens. The nursery encourages all areas of early years development with a range of activities from small world activities and reading to creative tables and messy play. They also choose different topics/themes each week to base their learning and activities. They have created a childcare experience that you simply don’t find anywhere else. My son loves the friendly and welcoming environment and adores every member of staff. It’s no surprise that the nursery is rated outstanding by Ofsted, as the whole team work hard together to provide the best standard of care. I wouldn’t send my child anywhere else.

Our daughter has been going since she just turned one; she is now 3.5-years-old. She absolutely loves it, now she's older, she role-plays all the fun she has there. Goes in happy every morning. All the staff are very welcoming, kind and caring. We've never experienced any issues. Her development in

Both my daughters attend The Orange Tree Day Nursery and enjoy every minute. My eldest is always excited to go, which is great, and my youngest has settled in really well, especially during these current times. The staff are excellent, and both girls have created great bonds with their key workers
The nursery has great outdoor space for them to run around, and the girls are always doing lots of activities. I would highly recommend the nursery to others.

Fantastic nursery and would always recommend to others. My son has been going for nearly 2-years, and he absolutely loves it. My daughter has attended this nursery for over two years now, and I couldn't recommend it highly enough. I'm constantly pleasantly surprised with how much she learns while she's there. The communication is good, and the response is very prompt if I ever have a query.
And they have chickens! Which
is what sealed the deal for me when we first viewed.

We’ve been sending our son to The Orange Tree Day nursery since he was only a few months old and he’s absolutely loved it ever since. He’s enjoyed every room that he’s moved up through in the past 2.5 years and has loved every staff member he’s come into contact with.
It’s such a welcoming nursery,
which incredible facilities and even better staff. We’ve already recommended it to people and will continue to do so. We’re already dreading the day he eventually has to leave.
We would have absolutely no hesitation in sending a child here if we were to have more. We know that our son is safe and well looked after, even in these strange times. Thank you to everyone at The Orange Tree!

My son has been at the nursery for over a year now. I cannot recommend the nursery and the team enough! I’ve never had any issue. My son's development has been amazing, and that’s all thanks to each and every one of the staff members, I cannot thank them enough. Amazing team, amazing nursery!

My son, who is 3, started attending nursery in January 2021. He had a shaky start as all children do, but soon settled when he met his key workers. They are all fantastic, so jolly and patient with the kids. The nursery, itself is beautiful, we viewed many, and this is the best by far. A huge space
with lots of things to do, including the secret garden, which my son loves. The meals are great, and during a horrible time in the pandemic, the nursery has put in place so many safeguarding things to keep the children and adults safe and healthy. Fantastic place for any child to attend!

My boy was such a shy boy, but since attending The Orange Tree, he has really come out his shell! He loves going and is smashing his milestones! His speech has also really come on since attending! I love the way they learn whilst they play and so much outdoor space for him to get some fresh air and
to run around! Also, they are working through a pandemic and putting risk on themselves, yet they still give my son the attention he needs! 10/10 from me.
