Detailed Breakdown

  • a) 5 Points are available for the Average Rating of all Reviews over all time. For each review the Day Nursery / service is rated Excellent, Good, Satisfactory, Poor or Very Poor on a number of areas eg Staff, Management etc. The Day Nursery receives points for each rating as follows: Excellent = 5. Good = 4. Satisfactory = 3. Poor = 2. Very Poor = 1. These points are added up and then divided by the total number of completed ratings to generate the average rating.

    The Average Rating of 4.778 for Asquith Kingston Day Nursery & Pre-School is calculated as follows: ( (112 Excellents x 5) + (32 Goods x 4) ) ÷ 144 Ratings = 4.778

  • b) 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 12 months. If there are no Positive Reviews in the last 12 months, then 2.5 points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 2 years. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with 'Extremely Likely' or 'Likely' in answer to the question 'How likely are you to recommend this Day Nursery to friends and family?'

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 5 Positive Reviews, 3 points for the first Positive Review and then 0.25 Points for each of the next 4 Positive Reviews.

    2. 1 point is available for reaching a target number of Positive Reviews based on 20% of the number of registered maximum number of service users. If the target is partially reached then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Day Nursery with 50 registered maximum number of service users has a target of 10 Positive Reviews, if it has 10 or more Positive Reviews it will receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews will receive 0.7 points.

    3. If there are no Positive Reviews in the last 12 months, then 2.5 points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 2 years. The calculation is the same as above, except the points are divided by 2.

The 4.822 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Asquith Kingston Day Nursery & Pre-School is based on 12 positive Reviews in the last 12 months and is calculated as follows:

    1. 3 + 0.25 + 0.25 + 0.25 + 0.25 = 4

    2. Target of 14.6 positive Reviews (73 registered maximum number of service users ÷ 5). 12 Reviews ÷ 14.6 Target = 0.822

  • When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.

We joined the nursery when it was still on Lower King's road. The care and attention children received were outstanding. Now that the little one is in pre-school, I'm amazed how much they learn to prepare them for life and for school. Topics they learn include languages, science and even yoga. And I have never seen our little one smiling as much as when they hatched their own eggs in pre-school, and she was holding a tiny chick. Definitely the best nursery in town.

Kingston day Nursery is a wonderful Nursery with a great team. All 3 of my children started at 10 months all the way through to preschool. What’s great is that some of the team that looked after my eldest now look after my youngest. Asquith has set them up perfectly for reception in terms of approach and desire to learn and social skills. Great nursery and a great team.

We moved my son to Asquith Kingston after an unsettled experience at another nursery.
The manager and her team immediately filled us with confidence that the staff team was consistent and had great interactions with the children.
My son settled in straight away and we have been very happy with the caring and professional attitude of this nursery.

Our two children have both been at Asquith Kingston Day Nursery since they were 7 months old and love every second. As parents, we are always confident in the care they receive and Kelly and her team support their learning and development in a nurturing environment. Room/class sizes are small and staff are friendly. We love the new building the nursery has moved to, especially the beautiful garden.

I have been taking my grandson to Asquith since he was 10 months old. The staff are brilliant. From baby room to toddlers to pre-school the standard has always been high and the transition smooth.

Our grandson, now 3 yrs old has developed vital life skills - his communication ability is very good, he is socially confident, he loves singing - can sing in French - counts in Spanish, plays musical instruments, knows the alphabet, days of week, months of year and telling time, and does yoga. He always looks forward to going to Asquith. The facilities are wonderful, security and care all to a very high standard. The same happy staff team have been working there all the time he has been attending Asquith which builds familiarity and comfort.
The new facilities are excellent: bright, clean, conducive to well being and learning. Finally, the Nursery Manager is excellent - any issues I’ve had she’s always resolved them in a professional and efficient manner. 100% recommend Asquith Kingston.

My daughter has been with the Asquith Kingston team since she was 6 months old. She is now almost 4 and is getting ready for big school. The staff have been amazing and have really helped her to learn and thrive. She has so many friends and has lots of stories to tell us when she gets home. Her key person has helped her to start reading and writing and she has also been learning Spanish.

My son has been attending the nursery since he was 8 months old. For me what stands out is how much the staff genuinely care about the children. My son adores the staff there and they have really taken the time to get to know him. He has got so much out of attending and his language is far beyond his age group which they have massively helped with.

My 4-year-old has been in pre-school for about 9 months. Compared to the previous nursery, it is more expensive, however, we definitely get value for money. Under well-organised curriculums (a clever mix between play and learning), my daughter is thriving and getting ready for school in September. Staff has been there a long time with nearly no turnover means consistency and confidence to a working mum like me.

My daughter is entering her last year before joining big school and in all this time, the entire team at Asquith Kingston have been outstanding.

I mean, outstanding.

Nothing is ever too much. They are informative, with great attention to detail, caring and they have variety in their educational programme.

My daughter always looks forward to her days at nursery and I think that speaks volumes.

We have come to know the team very well and completely trust the team which is imperative.

We viewed several nurseries before my daughter joined and had no doubt at all that Asquith Kingston was the best choice.

I could go on about how highly I rate this team and nursery but to any parent looking for a nursery for their child/ren, if you want a strong educational nursery that is fun, whilst offering you peace of mind, this is the nursery I would recommend.

Our daughter has been attending nursery for a couple of months now and has recently turned 1.
Our experience to date has been great, from settling into regular attendance the team has been fantastic at helping both our daughter and us to adjust. Our daughter loves her days at nursery and it is clear that she is in a supportive, happy environment when she is there.

We've been using Asquith Kingston Day Nursery & Pre-School since 2012 starting with our older son who goes to school now. We are very happy with the staff, care and facilities. I felt my older son was well prepared for school. Staff is very friendly and helpful, great help with nappy/potty training, both boys bonded well with the carers. It should be noted Asquith have just moved to this location on 5/9/17 and shouldn't be confused with the nursery that was there before.
