My daughter attended Northcote Road Day Nursery for emergency childcare. I cannot fault this nursery from the management all the way to the staff. My daughter has not stopped talking about her time spent at the nursery and wants to go back. I would recommend this nursery to anyone.
They have an amazing chef in the nursery more like a grandma to the children my child is always talking about the food and the cooking they do. The toddler team put on some amazing events for celebrations throughout the year and yes I enjoy taking time off work to spend with my child and see how she interacts with her peers and have a chance to meet the others parents. The transition between rooms works really well.
Any parent who has to part with their child each day does so with a sense of uncertainty and dread. I can say that the staff at the nursery are so helpful in this process that by the end of settling in my daughter didn't actually want to come home with me! I rely on them for their support and my daughter loves them. :)
We are very happy for our daughter to join the nursery three days a week. We do think it's a great chance for her to become a balanced little person. The positive environment has encouraged her to learn so many social skills such as eating with a spoon, cleaning herself and her table after lunch. We are always amazed by her improvements and those are guiding us to know what to expect from her. We consider the experienced staff as partners in our daughter's education. Her key person when she started was fantastic and the whole staff provides a very secure environment for the children. Also, we find the daily activities interesting and stimulating. Our daughter loves all artistic activities and she can do this every day. To finish, we do appreciate the warm welcome that our children and ourselves parents receive from the management staff and the teachers when we arrive in the nursery. The overall impression is that of a very professional and friendly nursery.
The staff welcomed her with open arms and she has not stopped talking about the time she spent there and how lovely the food was. I would recommend this nursery to anyone.
I am delighted with the care my son receives from Kids Unlimited Northcote Road and the dedication of the staff is exemplary. recently I had occasion to be involved with assisting in the organisation of their Summer Fayre and was impressed with the level of dedication and creativity of the staff. The environment is great and imaginative, colourful. Preparation for school is great...
From the start, all her key staff have been friendly, approachable and informative.
I would have no hesitation to recommend Northcote to a parent.
My only negative is that the nursery compares to others is very expensive, however, it is my choice to use Northcote as it is very close to my work.
My daughter's experience of Bright Horizons Northcote Road could not have been better and it's been built on a team who really care for the kids - all of the other brilliant things (and there are many) flow from there.
It's a pleasure having a child excited and happy to go to nursery each morning and role play being her favourite nursery staff when she's at home - clearly, something is going very right. And now in pre-school, she's thriving amongst all of the extra-curricular opportunities and more structured learning.
Thanks to the team for everything over the last two years - you've been brilliant.
My son got on very well and wanted to go back he did Teddy Tennis, and Spanish all in one week he was very excited.
My son does not eat pork and they were able to cater for his need.
A fun and learning sanctuary for babies, toddlers and pre-schoolers!
Staff are the most valuable asset of this nursery, genuinely committed to doing their utmost to provide an enriched experience for the development of each child. The staff diversity and bubbly characters enhance even more the children's learning experience.
There is however an opportunity for improvement with the chef's absence (qualified senior nurse covering the position currently) and the facilities improving the upkeep of the exterior (front area), the lift (recurrent inoperability, no light, missing screws on main panel and loose call buttons) and the buggy storage area (untidy with forgotten children's clothes, papers and dust) as this should reflect the excellent quality of the nursery services and staff.
Thank you for your feedback – your thoughts are very important to us. By giving us your feedback, you are helping us to understand how we can provide the highest level of care to our children and families. I would strongly recommend that you speak to the Nursery Manager and her team or the Regional...
Both my children are happy here and the staff seem to genuinely love and care for the children. My only concern is that there is no formal chef in place - she is on long-term sick leave and no replacement has been made for her. The whole process is too slow hence value for money is slightly lacking here. Instead one of the nursery staff is filling in for her. Also, slow in getting a pre-school lead in place, and there is no formal lead for toddlers (until she passes her exams). Children need to be prepared accordingly for primary school so a formal reading and writing teacher should be in place. However the tennis and yoga lessons are great, the children love them and trips to the common are always appreciated.
Thank you very much for your review. We really value your feedback. I will share your comments with the nursery team. It's important to us that any areas of concern are addressed and you’re totally happy with the high level of care we provide.
All the staff without exception have been so welcoming and warm, they are very encouraging and caring towards all the babies in the baby room. My little boy is clearly very happy there and has been thriving ever since attending nursery. The nursery has been very flexible regarding days that suit us as a family too. Would highly recommend!
My son has been at the nursery almost since it was opened doing two or three days a week. The nursery is beautifully equipped and the staff are committed, caring and full of fun. My son has learnt a great deal and I look forward to sending my daughter in due course.
The installations of the nursery are great, with a big outdoor space. The staff is always attentive and nice to the children. Both my children went there, one already left for school, and they were always happy there.
People are focused on children.
Nice daily follow-up.
Lovely activities even for babies.
Safe and secure environment.
Nice location - easy to drop and pick up children.
Good facilities with great toys for the babies. Lots of activities: my daughter seems to learn a lot of things. I am really amazed.
This nursery is a fantastic nursery. They have very good facilities. My child came to visit the nursery in February this year and when he was there Zoolab were in on that day, he loved seeing all the different animals and thoroughly enjoyed his time there.
We have both our kids at Bright Horizons Northcote Rd in London and have had a fabulous experience. The staff is all brilliant though there is more turnover than we'd like. The management team is great, very understanding and accommodating as well as proactive in engaging parents on any issues, events, changes, etc.
We would like to see more 1:1 sessions with the staff to get progress updates as well as more feedback for preschool around areas that we could focus on at home (numbers/math, writing, spelling, etc).
The staff are always brilliant; friendly, enthusiastic and happy. It's a lovely nursery and I feel confident that they take good care of my son. The facilities are great with plenty of space, especially outdoors where London is often lacking.
My daughter loved it and is always asking when she can come back to play. I would recommend this nursery to my friends and family.
