At Co-op Childcare Sussex they stay engaged with lots of activities from bike school to PE lessons to phonics activities. There's lots of diverse ways for your child to stay engaged and learn at their nursery. They also encourage children with brothers or sisters at nursery to take part in 'Sibling Diaries', a chance for siblings to spend time together and for nursery practitioners to share their experiences with parents/carers.

They have an app called ParentZone which will keep all parents/carers updated on how their little one is getting on, from photos of their day, meals eaten and assessments.

They are big on safety which is why all their staff are paediatric first aid trained and they have 5 Little Pioneers who help to share the Co-op Childcare's core values with their children.

They also have growing areas for food which they also eat as well as having regular visits to their local care home.

At Co-op Childcare Sussex, they house 5 spacious rooms catering for children from 3 months - 5 years with the latest technology, including interactive whiteboards and age-appropriate resources. Outside it has an adventure garden with tunnels, water play, slides, bike tracks and planting area.

A great nursery with fantastic facilities. The staff are great at what they do and genuinely love children! Comparatively the cost is quite high compared to some other nurseries but you really do get what you pay for and I would highly recommend this nursery to anyone.

My daughter has been at the nursery since early 2020. Her key persons over the months have all been second to none. You know you are in the right place when your daughter is all smiles every time she enters the nursery and you can see her happily playing and interacting with staff and children when
you pick her up. I know here she is in safe hands.

Our eldest son has been at the Co-op Nursery and now Pre-school for the past 3 years, and he has loved his time there. The pandemic has been a tough time for all of us, but the Nursery has battled through, doing their best to keep their services running, and we only had a short time with no childcare,
although this was stressful, due to both of us being at work. They kept us up-to-date with developments, and we always felt that our eldest was being well cared for, and was able to forge bonds with other children, and with his key staff members.


It's now been the first few weeks of our one-year-old starting at nursery, and he has settled in really well. He will have missed the interaction with other babies, so it's lovely to see him playing with them. The nursery staff already seem pleased with him, and despite some dietary requirements due to a cows milk protein allergy, he has enjoyed snack time and lunchtime. Spaghetti Bolognese!

My daughter settled brilliantly at this nursery. The staff are wonderful and very experienced. The ethos is very child centred and I love the emphasis on linking nature and sustainability to children's learning. My daughter is really thriving in this setting. Thank you so much!

We couldn’t ask for a better nursery for our daughter, she is so happy there. The attention to every child is brilliant, the smiley welcome every morning, and the focus on each child as an individual are all reasons why we love it so much. It’s clean, the food is great and the staff really tune into
the interests of the children and build them into exciting, creative activities. Couldn’t recommend it more highly!

My daughter has attended the setting since August 2021 which was later than we intended due to the pandemic. As our child was very young when the pandemic hit we were worried about her settling at nursery, yet we were silly to do so! The staff and management reassured us and made our little one feel
at ease, safe and secure. Since she has attended the setting she has grown in confidence and has become much more sociable with other children. The environments are welcoming and homely and practitioners are skilled and knowledgeable in their roles. The menus are nutritional and balanced and adapt to dietary needs. I would highly recommend this nursery if they want their child to be in safe hands!

My daughter has been at the nursery since October 2021. Before moving here, she only knew a few words in English; now, she is confident to speak foreign people from all over the world. I see her self-esteem, and I am proud of her, and I respect the Co-op culture, her key person and all practitioners
to support her strengths.
As an international MA student at the University, we were alone with my daughter in uncertainty for most of the term. Responsibilities have become challenging for me sometimes, but all team members in the Co-op encouraged me and made me feel in a compassionate environment.
We, as a family, think that this nursery is worth to use our savings for our daughter's personal, cognitive and communication development in a multicultural place, at least for a school year. To the whole family members in the Co-op, thank you for caring for our daughter and us. We feel at home!

Outstanding nursery both for facilities and staff. The environment is engaging, inviting and I feel that it supports my children's age-appropriate development (14-months and 3.5-years). The outside areas are the best I have seen at any nursery. I always feel safe dropping them off and look forward to
hearing about their adventures when I collect them.
They have made strong bonds with both their carers and other children. The range of activities on offer is amazing - fun, creative and educational. I have recommended this nursery to a number of friends already. Oh, and the catering is great also.

My son is always happy going into nursery and has made a real connection with the staff there. His key person is always available to talk and works together with us, as parents, to solve any issues. For example, when it was noticed that my son became overwhelmed by busy periods in the day, strategies
were put in place that could be followed at nursery and at home creating a consistent approach, helping him to better cope in overwhelming situations.
I feel comfortable leaving my child in their care and know that his individual needs are supported. They have healthy, nutritious meals with menus changing regularly for variety.
The nursery regularly hosts sessions for parents to attend on subjects relating to early years, such as speech and language development, and encourage parent involvement. I would highly recommend this nursery to prospective families.

Our daughter has been attending the Co-op Childcare Day Nursery at Falmer since she was 14-months-old. She is enjoying her time there and we love to see her develop, explore and learn new things. The staff and management team are great and have been very supportive. The only thing we would like to see
different is if we could receive more photos and updates of her day there, only because everything sounds so exciting.

My daughter goes to Co-op Childcare Day Nursery Sussex and has the best time. She comes home pretty knackered from a full-on, active day (great for a good night’s sleep!), chats about her buddies and clearly learns a lot.
Overall, especially through Covid times, it’s clear that the deputy manager
and her team really care for the little people and are really caring and supportive.
If I was being fussy, I’d love more pictures in the app and a bit more consistency of the key worker but my little one doesn’t seem to care about either of those things and has a wonderful time at nursery - so that really is what matters, in my opinion. So highly recommend to those considering this nursery.

I have two children at the nursery - my oldest has been going for nearly 3 years now, my youngest a year and they both love the time they spend there. They talk with so much enthusiasm about the activities they get up to, the games they play and the songs they sing. They speak fondly about the friends
they've made and their keyworkers too. All the staff at the nursery are so friendly and welcoming, whenever they've had a wobble, they've been right by their side and putting a smile back on their face in no time.
My oldest is off to school in September and will miss the pre-school room, her teachers and friends. The pre-school room has given her a brilliant start for school with their phonics lessons and transition to school program.
Overall we are so happy with the nursery and couldn't fault them.

We are very happy with the nursery and especially how they have coped with the frequent changes to government guidelines and how they have communicated it all to us. My child in pre-school is getting a great start ahead of his transition to school in September and he enjoys his time at nursery. My younger

This is a fantastic nursery! The well-being of the children is absolutely their top priority and they follow all of their procedures to the letter in order to keep the children safe in their care. The staff are friendly, caring and communication with parents is good. The provision is excellent, the
activities are fun, engaging and follow the interests of the children. There is clear progression as children move on up through the different rooms.

Since my daughter walked (or was actually pushed as she was 6 months old!) through the door at Little Pioneers, I knew she was in the best possible hands. The staff are nothing short of fabulous and every day she comes home worn out and very happy which is so lovely for me to see as the ‘working mother’
guilt is lessened knowing she’s had a fun and adventure packed day! She eats all the delicious, freshly prepared food and is thriving. Her vocabulary grows daily as does her interest in music, dancing, nature and arts. I’m provided with thorough updates each day and love the observation reports, next steps and photos that are uploaded to the app. The location of the nursery is extremely convenient and the amenities are plentiful. All in all, I cannot recommend Little Pioneers enough and a special thanks to the amazing key workers that look after my daughter so wonderfully!

The nursery teachers are so dedicated and enthusiastic I am so happy to send my son in every session. My son has a great time and is cared for and nurtured. My first daughter attended the nursery and it was amazing. We live, work and school in Lewes so ideally a nursery in Lewes would have been ideal but my daughter would not settle. Couldn't be happier with the nursery. Our little one started aged nine months after living most her life in lock-down and we were overwhelmed by how quickly she settled in, doing two days a week. This was all thanks to the nurture of the team. The setting is incredible and for us was one of the main
factors to have a purpose built space with big open rooms and large interactive outdoor areas is in this city, is simply incredible. She has developed so much there in her communication and physical development too. The food is superb and helped us be more ambitious at home. The detail in terms of updates each day is fabulous too. Staff always get back to you with any matters quickly. Also I love the initiative shown too, feeding back what the children in a room are into so you can emulate at home and help them develop more. They also have links with music makers and other classes linking into the wider community. Passionate and caring.
