The staff is excellent, all polite and are there for you when you need them. My son enjoys his time at the nursery and made good friends, he loves the food and all the activities.
We've been really happy with the nursery so far. Our son has settled in well and I feel we're kept up to date with his learning. Our son seems very happy at the nursery and is very happy to go to the staff in the morning.
I have total faith that every member of staff has my child's best interest at heart. They all show total commitment and care for the children. I feel there is a real interest in their development. If I have more children I won't hesitate to send them here!
My son joined Bright Horizons Carshalton Day Nursery and Preschool at the beginning of July into the baby room. He loves attending the nursery and happily goes to the staff members in his room who are always very welcoming and bright, even so early in the mornings. There is always such a variety of activities and toys available to them and I always hear how messy my child has got throughout the day as well as having fun. The food is outstanding and such a healthy balanced diet suitable for all children's needs!
An amazing nursery and wonderful staff.
My daughter joined the nursery aged 10 months and was immediately made to feel welcome and given the support required in the baby room. She enjoys playing with the staff and other children and has definitely developed a number of positive new skills during the last 6 months that she hasn't learnt at home. The food menu is varied, providing her with a balanced diet suitable for her age. I have no concerns about her well-being while she is at the nursery and I am always kept informed about her progress by the staff at the end of each day.
She is currently moving from the Baby room to the Discoverers room. I feel that this transition has been done at the right time and been handled appropriately in terms of the gradual exposure she has been given to the new environment.
A really professional nursery. Excellent feedback regarding child's long term and day to day development. My children are extremely happy here and love attending the nursery. They take part in lots of activities during the day and staff know them and their needs well.
My daughter has been with Bright Horizons for the past 18 months. She enjoys going to nursery & tells me all about the range of activities she has participated in throughout the day. The staff are great and have really helped to build my daughters confidence.
To be surrounded by kids her age, all experiencing growing together, and with the caring staff looking after them is just great. We speak another language at home, and her English is just excellent. She interacts great with her peers despite being an only child, and we just love the attention and help she gets in her development.
My two children love the nursery and they receive a wide range of learning through various activities.
My son has been at the nursery since June and has settled in very well. The staff are very caring, he loves his key worker and he has great fun playing with the other children. The nursery is clean and has good facilities. My son has allergies and the chef is very organised and makes something separate for him if the meals on the menu are not suitable.
Used to be a really outstanding nursery but since it has been taken over, the amount spent on resources for the children seems to have gone down, there are always staffing issues and there has not been the continuity or experience in management. However saying that, my child is usually happy there.
Thank you for your feedback – your thoughts are very important to us. By giving us your feedback, you are helping us to understand how we can provide the highest level of care to our children and families. I would strongly recommend that you speak either to the Nursery Manager or to the Regional...
Great nursery. The staff are outstanding in their commitment to the happiness, wellbeing and development of the children. The daily communication keeps me well informed about the day so I can prepare adequately for our evening together (more hungry or tired than usual, etc).
The groups of children are fairly small and seem to work well in terms of allowing the children to interact and build friendships, and for the staff to have good oversight and ability to attend to and comfort each individual child. I cannot praise the staff highly enough. They are always happy to speak on the phone should you require updates (or just some comforting yourself that your child is having a good time if drop-off was a bit traumatic one day). The nursery managers are also excellent.
The few downsides all relate to the space available. All indoor activities (even the sandpit) are in one room for the smaller children. The outdoor play area is AstroTurf under a roof, and quite small just by a car park.
I cannot speak highly enough about this nursery. The care and personal support they provide to my daughter is first class. The specially created diets for the children are first class. She is not just a number here and has come along in leaps and bounds in every way since starting. All the staff are a credit to Kidsunlimited.
I have 2 children and have tried it all - childminders, au pairs, playgroups, day nurseries.....you name it. So I can claim some authority on childcare provision.
KU Carshalton ticks all the boxes. Simply put, they've thought about everything me and my child needs.
Well-equipped facilities for all the age groups catered for.
On-site prepared meals by resident cook.
EYFS curriculum followed to the tee
Constructive learning through play
Staff that truly love and want to be around children and not just putting in a day's shift for pay
Well conceived and understood processes by staff
Parent communication is timely
And most importantly, my child is happy there.
Small wonder the waiting list is so long.
Love the nursery! My daughter has been so happy and enjoys each day there, especially playing in the giant sand pit in the garden.
The girls in my daughters room seem to genuinely care for her and will keep me updated with how she's been. We couldn't ask for more!

Meet the Team (2)
I began my childcare career as a childminder in 1991. In 2005 I made the change to a childcare provision and spent sixteen years in the same company in various roles.
Following my passion for learning and progress, I qualified as an EYPS (Early year practitioner status) and have a BA in Early Education studies. Following qualification, I built on my Early Years experience as an Ofsted Inspector, Assessor and Compliance Officer and supported six Nurseries as a Childcare Support Manager. I bring a wealth of knowledge in understanding the requirements of Ofsted and the Early Years Foundation (EYFS) curriculum.
“What I enjoy most in Childcare is working with a team of people with the same passion and enthusiasm to deliver the quality of learning and care to all the children”. “I also love to get back to the roots of pedagogy when covering in the Nurseries, having time to play, laugh, listen and have fun with the children”.
I enjoy every aspect of childcare and I am passionate about outdoor play and bringing back risky play. “All my best childhood and adulthood memories are outdoors”.
“As a Mum of four and a nana of five, childcare is always going to be in my bones”.
I am Level 6 qualified and continue to keep up to date with current legislation, practice and policy through research and training.
Amy began her childcare career immediately after leaving school, driven by a long-standing passion for supporting children’s early development. She quickly achieved her Level 3 qualification and, motivated to deepen her understanding of early years practice, went on to complete a Level 6 qualification in Early Childhood Education.
Throughout her career, Amy has remained committed to building strong, trusting relationships with both children and their families. She takes great pride in creating a nurturing, positive, and enriching environment where every child feels valued, supported, and encouraged to thrive.
Amy joined Bright Horizons in 2024 and has thoroughly enjoyed becoming part of the dedicated team at Carshalton. She values contributing to such a warm, collaborative, and child-centred setting.
