Bright Horizons Sale Day Nursery and Preschool (formerly known as kidsunlimited) is located less than a mile south of the centre of Sale and is close to Brooklands Metrolink station. The nursery offers secure and flexible childcare, focusing on early years learning and development. The Nursery is rated 'Outstanding' in all 4 areas by Ofsted, 2016.

Ofsted states " Staff are excellent role models and play alongside children to teach them the difference between right and wrong".

The nursery provides a stimulating and reassuring environment for children from three-months, through toddler times to preschool. Spacious, well-resourced rooms and a fantastic outdoor area with a unique beach area and reading den which give children the freedom to learn and explore.

Every day includes a range of carefully planned activities from quiet story time to role play, messy activities, singing and outdoor learning. They offer extra-curricular, weekly Spanish lessons for preschool children. Bright Horizons' Growing Programme also includes Growing Readers, Writers and Mathematicians to help prepare children for their transition to school.

The nursery's all inclusive fees encompass all meals and snacks, nappies, nappy cream, bottles and baby formula.

Convenient parent parking means drop-off and pick-up is made as safe as possible.

The standard of care that we get from Bright Horizons is fantastic! The team always welcome us with a smile and really do care and look after our son.
When picking up our son from the nursery the team give us plenty of information about what has happened in that day - including what he has eaten,
how long he has slept for, how many nappies he has gone through etc.
We recently attended a parents evening whereby we were shown a log book which had plenty of information about his time with the nursery so far, including pictures, memorable moments, development/progress.
We know that we leave our son in safe hands which really does make us feel comfortable when going to work.

I cannot fault the staff at Bright Horizons. They all are very friendly and helpful and obviously really care about the children.
I was worried at first when my daughter first went to nursery (protective parent syndrome) but as soon as I noticed how the staff interacted with her and all of the children
it was like dropping my child off with a family member.
The nursery also goes the extra mile to include parents/grandparents in activities such as stay and play or special evening events for holidays (Halloween was my daughters favourite). Also, they are constantly having visitors who will do special activities with the children such as music teachers, painters and one I'm looking forward to for Easter is the chocolatier who is going to help the children make their own Easter eggs.
If you are looking to put your child into nursery this is by far the best one I have found and cannot recommend it enough.

My son has been in full-time care at Bright Horizons Sale since he was six months old, and I cannot say enough good things about our experience.
He has built strong relationships with his key workers and it's been delightful to witness the things they have taught him. He has really come on in leaps
and bounds since starting, both physically and socially.
The team themselves are highly engaged and bring visible enthusiasm and love to their work - god knows where they get the energy! We have made a special bond with his primary key worker, and I trust her implicitly. The manager of the nursery deserves a special mention. She seems to have a warm relationship with the team but is very knowledgeable and professional too, and her personal commitment to the role really comes across. There's a lot of thought and care that goes into all the planning.
Every day there are different structured activities and a varied menu of foods - all of which he loves.
I wouldn't hesitate to recommend!

The staff in Baby 1 and Baby 2 have been fantastic with our little boy. He genuinely loves coming to nursery and it’s such a weight off our minds to know he is happy and enjoys learning. Our daughter started here at the beginning of December 2017 and how quickly she’s settled into nursery life is a credit to the manageress and the team.


As any parent would be, we were nervous about leaving our child in the care of someone else, but we needn’t have been, as we were instantly put at

ease and made to feel extremely welcome.


Everyone is really lovely and professional and I love that when my husband dropped her off in her second week, everyone knew her name, even members of staff from other rooms.


We’re now in our 4th week and we’re so pleased we made the choice to come here.

The nursery has a lovely atmosphere as soon as you walk through the door. The management team are always happy and welcoming and make it easier for my daughter to come into nursery with their happy, smiling faces. My daughter goes straight to her key person for a cuddle before breakfast.


The children's

learning stories are always accessible for the parents to look through and you can arrange a working in partnership with your key person at any time to discuss your child's development. She never wants to come home which makes me feel happy as a working parent to know I have put my child in a nursery where they safeguard her and ensure she has a fun and enjoyable day at nursery.


Nothing is ever too much trouble for the team they will always make cards for family members birthdays, invite grandparents and parents into the nursery to enjoy fun activities with the children. The nursery is graded outstanding from Ofsted and you can see why from the moment you walk into the nursery!

The staff at the nursery are excellent, they provide a high standard of care for my child. The staff are friendly, professional and always meet our needs as a family.


The management team are very approachable and caring and work extremely hard to meet the needs of every family.


The nursery has

PNA meetings quarterly where the parents can sit down and discuss nursery topics and events, I have found this a great way to get to know the families. I recently attended a Halloween event at the nursery called "The Ugly Bug Ball" with my daughter, you could tell how much hard work the team put in for the children and parents to have an enjoyable time together.


I would recommend this nursery to all families, the service we have received is outstanding!!

My daughter has been attending the nursery for almost a year now and she loves it!! Every morning as we pull into the car park she gets excited clapping her hands and cheering.


The staff are fantastic with my daughter and always go that extra mile with her care, her learning journey is amazing and

is a true reflection on my daughter with great observations and photographs it’s great to look at and see where she is up to in her development.


The manager of the nursery is always warm and friendly and will always greet us with a friendly hello and a quick chat showing lots of interest in both myself and my daughter's lives.


The manager noticed how on arrival my daughter would always reach out for the pens on the desk as she likes to draw with them so therefore she produced a notepad and pen which is now left out at the children’s height in reception so my daughter can have a quick scribble on the way in which she loves as she now feels very important.

Our son started here two months ago at the age of eleven months. All of the team from management to carers have been absolutely wonderful. Our son loves his key person and the other nursery assistants. Everyone seems to know him and welcome him every morning. I never feel any worry when I drop him off
in the morning and know that he will have a fun day and will be well looked after. They also have been helping him to develop skills that I work with him on at home. I have nothing negative I could say about this nursery.

Delighted we have chosen this nursery for our son. The staff are friendly, knowledgeable and reassuring and I feel very comfortable leaving my baby boy with them. The outdoor area is fantastic, just what we are looking for as an active family, also the rooms are bright, stimulating and well-resourced
with lovely displays featuring my son's artwork. The fees are all inclusive too which is great for getting out of the house quicker in the morning! Can't recommend enough!

We joined the nursery last year and have been so happy with the care and professionalism of the team at Sale. A couple of years ago this nursery was in bad shape and I came very close to removing my child. Thanks to a change in management and some excellent appointments it has gone from strength to strength. I'm particularly impressed with the quality of care from the team in babies/cruisers where the staff
seem to genuinely love their jobs and the children they look after. They go out of their way to reassure parents and provide a stimulating environment for babies. I think preschool could improve communication with parents. They need to shout about the good work they're doing!

Choosing a nursery is tough! Who is ever good enough to look after your most precious possession?! I viewed several nurseries in Sale and eventually settled on Bright Horizons, a large purpose built building, light, clean and airy and most importantly amazing staff. My son has settled into the baby
room really well, he eats well (takes more from the girls than he does with me!) and has good naps which tells me he's happy. I receive lots of pictures to show me what he's doing and I know he'll continue to flourish there. Highly recommended!

We chose this nursery because of the facilities on offer, the friendliness of the staff, it's location, the activities organised for the children and the general feel of the place when we went to visit. We did have other options for childcare through family but we wanted our son to attend a nursery
to aid his development and to socialise. We are extremely happy with our son's development. He was extremely shy at first and the staff were brilliant in supporting him and integrating him into the nursery. The staff are very friendly and are all clearly dedicated to the development of the children in their care. The facilities are always spotless and the amount of equipment and outdoor activities are extensive. There is also a wide-ranging healthy menu and meals are cooked on site. On the few occasions when our son has been a little under the weather, the staff were excellent in keeping us informed as to his wellbeing. I would not hesitate in recommending this nursery to others.

My name is Hannah I am the Nursery Manager here at Sale.


I have a BA Hons degree in childhood and youth studies and have Paediatric first aid. I have over 9 years of childcare experience and working in nursery settings. I am extremely passionate about ensuring the children enjoy their day at nursery and thrive to ensure they are provided with the highest standard of quality care.


The team here at Sale are enthusiastic and inspirational, they are always coming up with ideas to make the children’s experiences meaningful. They plan every activity based on the children’s developmental needs and enjoy sharing this with the parents during the evening collections. The team are passionate about making the children’s experiences come to life and always leaves at the end of the day with a smile on their face knowing they have made a difference to a child’s life.


I like to spend a lot of my time getting to know my family in the nursery and making their experience the very best it can be. I always make sure I am accessible to every family and will endeavour to meet the needs of every family the best way I can.
