Bright Horizons Sale Day Nursery and Preschool (formerly known as kidsunlimited) is located less than a mile south of the centre of Sale and is close to Brooklands Metrolink station. The nursery offers secure and flexible childcare, focusing on early years learning and development. The Nursery is rated 'Outstanding' in all 4 areas by Ofsted, 2016.

Ofsted states " Staff are excellent role models and play alongside children to teach them the difference between right and wrong".

The nursery provides a stimulating and reassuring environment for children from three-months, through toddler times to preschool. Spacious, well-resourced rooms and a fantastic outdoor area with a unique beach area and reading den which give children the freedom to learn and explore.

Every day includes a range of carefully planned activities from quiet story time to role play, messy activities, singing and outdoor learning. They offer extra-curricular, weekly Spanish lessons for preschool children. Bright Horizons' Growing Programme also includes Growing Readers, Writers and Mathematicians to help prepare children for their transition to school.

The nursery's all inclusive fees encompass all meals and snacks, nappies, nappy cream, bottles and baby formula.

Convenient parent parking means drop-off and pick-up is made as safe as possible.

My little boy has recently started at Sale Day Nursery, he has settled so much. He thoroughly enjoys nursery and is happy being dropped off. I am so thankful for the girls in baby two for reassuring me and making me feel comfortable leaving him.

My children have been going to Bright Horizons Sale for the last 5 years. It appealed to us because of the purpose-built nature and the spaciousness inside. The key workers have always been attentive and supportive and have always helped the children transition through the nursery. Just the simplest
thing, a cuddle, has proved a powerful tool in helping them feel safe and secure. All the way to pre-school. I am so grateful to the nursery for looking after the children so well and we will miss all the staff!

I cannot recommend Sale Bright Horizons highly enough. Our son is flourishing in the Toddler 1 class and is learning so much thanks to the supportive staff and the fun, well-structured play environment. Each month, the class leader nominates a story (eg, Going on a Bear Hunt) and many activities relate
to this. I love it! The manager is friendly and approachable and ensures the highest standards.


We transferred from another nursery (where our son was very happy) after moving house. We’re really pleased with how quickly our son settled and feel that Sale offers us better value for money.

Fantastic nursery and preschool my daughter has loved being here with the manager and the team, her key worker has been amazing and she will be sad to leave to start school. Wonderful nursery. Staff always lets me know if my son is unwell or has a temperature. Very caring and lovely attentive members of staff, nothing is ever any trouble. Staff spend lots of time helping with development and always ask for parents opinions on what could need improving. Would definitely

My daughter has been at Bright Horizons for the last 10 months and has loved every minute. She started at 13 months old in the baby room where everyone was absolutely amazing at settling her in, and she loved her key person. She is now in the toddler room and enjoys every single day. All the staff are
fantastic, warm and friendly. I once had a call to say that she had been sick at nursery and went I arrived to pick her up, a staff member was sitting in a corner cuddling her while she slept on their knee - they all care so much about the children. My daughter runs into nursery every morning excited to be there, and I couldn't be happier with it.

The staff at this nursery are WONDERFUL. My daughter has been loving her time there and they all genuinely love and care for the children. If she's ever a bit unsettled I always see on her sheet that she's been having lots of cuddles. This means a lot to me as I know that if she's upset the girls
will spend some time with her giving her hugs and making her feel secure, it's hard to leave her and go to work but it's so much easier knowing that she's so well cared for. I've also been impressed with the number of pictures the staff send. We'll often get a surprise in her bag of a few pictures from the last couple of weeks which is lovely to see her happy and smiling. She also comes home most weeks with pictures she has made and biscuits etc, which shows the variety of things they do with the children to keep them engaged (even at 11 months old!). She is also eating a huge variety of different types of food which I'm really pleased with - I couldn't recommend this nursery enough!

I found parting from my daughter after nearly a year at home together really difficult and I’m not sure I’d have been able to do that if I hadn’t have appreciated she was in such capable hands. My daughter adores her key worker and their bond has made the transition so much easier. My daughter loves
going to nursery and no wonder with all the fun things they get up to in a day and yummy food. Such a friendly and professional place. Thank you.

I was really nervous to put my 10-month-old little boy in a nursery. I have to say the full team at Bright Horizons Sale have been amazing!! Spending time with both myself and my son to ensure we had the best start. My son is not great with food and already we have seen a huge improvement. The team
are friendly, professional and extremely supportive so happy we came here.

Since starting at Bright Horizons in Sale in July of this year, I have seen a massive change in my little boy who is just over 12 months old. He was a little clingy and what most would say a mummy's boy, but he and I completely clicked with the girls at the nursery. Within a week, he was holding out
his arms for the girls to take him off me and I would even say he is better behaved for them, than me and his father at home. Some may say that these big nurseries have only an interest in money, but I totally disagree with Bright Horizons. They are 100% personal and know who my little boy is whether they work in his room or not. Yes, we may have been able to find childcare cheaper but I'm happy to pay knowing he is looked after, loved and cared for like one of their own. I provide nothing and that was the biggest appeal to me. I take a bag with spare clothes in and that is literally it. For a teacher/mum working full time, this was ideal for me. Thank you Bright Horizons, Sale.

I can’t recommend this nursery and it’s staff highly enough. We recently had another baby and everyone at Sale Day Nursery has been so supportive of my two-year-old that he has sailed through this tricky time. I know in his group/class they have been playing with dolls, washing and nurturing them and
there are always cuddles on offer should he be having one of those days.
When the baby arrived, the whole class, as well as the previous class he was in up until a January, made cards galore to celebrate not only the birth but also my son becoming a big brother. We were extremely touched.
My son often comes home with works of art or even yummy treats they have all made in class and he is almost always grinning from ear to ear when we go to collect him at the end of the day.
You don’t feel like a number on the roll sheet at this nursery, instead, the service is very personal and all the staff are very friendly.

My son is in Sale Bright Horizon's nursery, and we are delighted with his progress especially after his parent's evening last night. He is in Toddler 1, and since being in the room has come on leaps and bounds. His vocabulary amazes us every day and we are now moving in to potty training, and his
key worker and the team are supporting us. He is so excited to go to nursery and talks about his friends on the way there, in between singing the 'Wheels on the bus'!!.
Thank you for your continued support a for making nursery such a positive experience for us all.

Our daughter absolutely loves going to nursery here and we have seen a big change for the better in her development - her learning and grasp of numbers and letters is coming along wonderfully and she is picking up bits and pieces of other languages (for example singing 'Buenos Dias' at home after learning
it at nursery.) She has started eating a better variety of foods at home as a result of trying new things at nursery and has a lot more friends he can socialise with outside of nursery as well (for example at birthday parties.)
The staff are always very helpful and friendly and genuinely take an interest in the children. Our daughter frequently talks about all of the staff in the pre-school room and relates little details about them to us. She has asked several times if we can invite them to our house for dinner as she doesn't want to say goodbye at the end of the day!

My two year old started at the start of 2018 from being at another nursery. Bright Horizons is a fantastic nursery.
My son goes one day a week on a Thursday and I have to say I am very happy and very pleased how settled he is and how much he enjoys going. The staff are amazing, so caring and treat
them as their own. Very good 1-1 which helps him and he has learned new skills. I wish I moved him earlier into this nursery.
It is truly amazing.

The staff at the nursery are fantastic and always make me feel like my daughter is the only one they look after. They are so thorough with what she has been up to and any concerns are always raised to me. My daughter cries when I pick her up. I think she wants to stay! Excellent nursery. I'm very impressed

My name is Hannah I am the Nursery Manager here at Sale.


I have a BA Hons degree in childhood and youth studies and have Paediatric first aid. I have over 9 years of childcare experience and working in nursery settings. I am extremely passionate about ensuring the children enjoy their day at nursery and thrive to ensure they are provided with the highest standard of quality care.


The team here at Sale are enthusiastic and inspirational, they are always coming up with ideas to make the children’s experiences meaningful. They plan every activity based on the children’s developmental needs and enjoy sharing this with the parents during the evening collections. The team are passionate about making the children’s experiences come to life and always leaves at the end of the day with a smile on their face knowing they have made a difference to a child’s life.


I like to spend a lot of my time getting to know my family in the nursery and making their experience the very best it can be. I always make sure I am accessible to every family and will endeavour to meet the needs of every family the best way I can.
