Bright Horizons Sale Day Nursery and Preschool (formerly known as kidsunlimited) is located less than a mile south of the centre of Sale and is close to Brooklands Metrolink station. The nursery offers secure and flexible childcare, focusing on early years learning and development. The Nursery is rated 'Outstanding' in all 4 areas by Ofsted, 2016.

Ofsted states " Staff are excellent role models and play alongside children to teach them the difference between right and wrong".

The nursery provides a stimulating and reassuring environment for children from three-months, through toddler times to preschool. Spacious, well-resourced rooms and a fantastic outdoor area with a unique beach area and reading den which give children the freedom to learn and explore.

Every day includes a range of carefully planned activities from quiet story time to role play, messy activities, singing and outdoor learning. They offer extra-curricular, weekly Spanish lessons for preschool children. Bright Horizons' Growing Programme also includes Growing Readers, Writers and Mathematicians to help prepare children for their transition to school.

The nursery's all inclusive fees encompass all meals and snacks, nappies, nappy cream, bottles and baby formula.

Convenient parent parking means drop-off and pick-up is made as safe as possible.

I have had an excellent experience at Bright Horizons Sale Day Nursery. My son started there in January 2022. The staff are friendly and my son's key worker helped him to settle in when he needed to transfer to toddlers and helped with this. They have so many creative activities and communication is
good via their app.

I currently have two children at the nursery, in the baby room and preschool and I can’t speak highly enough about it. The staff are all incredibly warm, supportive and really love the children. They go above and beyond to think of innovative and engaging activities for the children, support their development,
and are always tirelessly kind. My eldest started at the nursery during the pandemic, and because of lockdown she hadn’t been held by anyone but me and my husband for most of her life but the staff were so lovely with her that she settled really well and we felt completely reassured about leaving her.

I couldn't rate this nursery high enough. They have exceptional staff who really do love the children and their job. I have been at a previous nursery where staff turnover was high and the complete opposite is true here. My eldest has also been through the nursery and now 3 years on the same people
are looking after my youngest. The food is excellent, they have an outstanding learning environment and are constantly stimulated in educational play/activities. The thing that really stands out is how much they really care for the children. Recently a member of staff who had their coat on and was in reception on her way home noted my son (who is potty training) needed the loo. Without a request or hesitation she dropped her bags, picked him took him. This is indicative of the type of people they have working there. They love the children, they care for them and as a mother it gives you complete comfort and confidence in them.

Our experience at Bright Horizons Sale Day Nursery and Preschool has been really positive. We have been really happy with the level of child care provided by the nursery staff. The building provides a nice, bright and clean environment and there is a good outdoor space. It’s easy to get in touch with
admin staff who are always friendly and helpful. The introduction of the app has made a big difference, it’s great to have an update and see photos during the day and also receive messages about things happening at the nursery.

Our daughter enjoys going into nursery. She has made new friends. The staff are lovely and helpful. The staff helped our daughter settle in really well when she first went in during the lockdown and despite the fact we could not go in for a visit due to Covid restrictions, there was a sense of calm
that she was in the right place. The environment is clean and lots for children to explore and structured learning. The family app is great, as it lets me check on her during the day.

My son had been to another nursery prior that he didn't settle into. We started him at Bright Horizons Sale Day Nursery in January and he has settled in really well. He is doing better than any of us could have hoped. The staff are great with him and are proactive in meeting his needs. He enjoys going
to nursery now and his social skills are really improving compared to how he was before. I'm pleased we made the decision to try Bright Horizons.

We decided to try our daughter in this particular nursery after her previously not taking to 2/3 other nursery’s at all. She took to this place like it was her home, and the staff are utterly amazing. Honestly would recommend this nursery to anyone, especially if your child hasn’t been able to settle

My son loves going to Bright Horizons Sale. The approach to the children's care and welfare is really collaborative and parents and staff can talk to each other easily. The app is great so you can communicate with both the managers and the staff who work in the child’s room.
The staff always have
lots of fun activities for the children and my sons learning comes on so well with the staff’s hard work. And there is definitely a feeling that all the staff genuinely really like all of the children and the managers seem to know the name of each and every child!
They were (and are) great during Covid, clearly communicating with parents as things would change and develop, and keeping all the children well and happy.

My daughter has been attending Sale Bright Horizons for over two years now. She really enjoys her days at nursery, she comes home and talks with such enthusiasm about all the fun things she’s done all day. The nursery staff have been extra caring and attentive to my daughter who struggles to walk as
well as her peers, making sure that she is able to participate in activities that others may take for granted. I’m thankful for the guidance they give her so she can keep up with her peers. I am always recommending the nursery to people when they enquire about nursery places for their own children. She’s always been well looked after whether it be the baby, toddler or preschool room. The staff are really approachable and friendly and you know they will look after your child.

My little Girl recently joined Bright Horizons and she absolutely loves it! All the staff are friendly and caring and they have clearly built a good relationship with my daughter. I feel comfortable dropping her off and always feel as if she’s in a safe place and in good hands. My daughter's vocabulary
and motor skills have developed fabulously since joining the nursery which is wonderful to see. I would be happy to recommend Bright Horizons to anyone who’s looking for a nursery.

We moved from another nursery and despite we couldn't visit the nursery itself and speak to the staff directly due to covid, we felt it was the right setting for our daughter.
We're very proud of what they are doing in terms of play and the things they learn.
Our daughter is always coming back home
happy and shares with us what they do and she is improving day by day.
We can tell there's a structure behind her knowledge and she is very much ready to start school, also thanks to the daily commitment of the staff.
The only thing we missed was having an app to watch videos and pictures taken daily, but it seems it'll be implemented soon!
I would definitely recommend this nursery!

We are so pleased with the progress that our son has made in the 6 weeks since starting nursery. We really value the honesty of the staff in letting us know his progress and explaining how settled he is. They have been extremely supportive in helping us manage his dairy requirements, which have been
a bit of a roller-coaster! I love peaking through the window when picking him up to see how much he's enjoying it and how caring the staff are with him. The most important thing to us is that he is shown love and care at nursery, and we couldn't ask for any more from his key worker and all employees in the baby room. A big thank you!

This nursery was recommended to me by my new neighbour as we were new to the area. My daughter started Bright Horizons (sale) in October this year, and I cannot believe how much she has developed, including her speech.
She is so happy here, and I was a bit apprehensive about moving her to a new nursery,
but we had to due to a house move, and it was the best thing we ever did.
The variety of activities they do for the children is fantastic, and my little girl is constantly learning through play. The staff who look after her are absolutely fantastic, and my daughter feels so comfortable with them, and I find all the staff are very approachable.
Also to mention the food she has at nursery is brilliant, very nutritional, plenty of fruit and veg, so a big thank you to the chefs too. I love the information sheet that she comes home with to say what she has done throughout the day and the things she has been learning that day.
I would definitely recommend this nursery to anyone who is looking!

The staff are extremely engaged and excellent child care and progressing development is clearly the highest priority. Quality of meals is high. Lots of activities for the children each day. My name is Hannah I am the Nursery Manager here at Sale.


I have a BA Hons degree in childhood and youth studies and have Paediatric first aid. I have over 9 years of childcare experience and working in nursery settings. I am extremely passionate about ensuring the children enjoy their day at nursery and thrive to ensure they are provided with the highest standard of quality care.


The team here at Sale are enthusiastic and inspirational, they are always coming up with ideas to make the children’s experiences meaningful. They plan every activity based on the children’s developmental needs and enjoy sharing this with the parents during the evening collections. The team are passionate about making the children’s experiences come to life and always leaves at the end of the day with a smile on their face knowing they have made a difference to a child’s life.


I like to spend a lot of my time getting to know my family in the nursery and making their experience the very best it can be. I always make sure I am accessible to every family and will endeavour to meet the needs of every family the best way I can.
