Hopscotch Day Nursery Botley

A fantastic nursery! The outside space is brilliant and laid out well. Our son's speech developed so quickly after starting here. He really struggled with his speech at his previous nursery setting. We get plenty of communication via face-to-face and Tapestry. More than our previous nursery setting.

The staff at Hopscotch Day Nursery Botley have been overwhelmingly awesome. my daughter has a wonderful time there and has been a part of the "family" since she was 11 months old. Her recent move up to Toddlers was hard for her as she had bonded so well in Waddlers but once she settled in she has developed in leaps and bounds (quite literally since she learnt to jump!) Thank you team!

Our daughter was really reluctant to attend pre-school when she first started in June of this year. The team provided lots of tips and support towards our family in helping her to settle and were always so friendly, approachable and kind. When we have had minor concerns, these have been dealt with quickly and robustly. Our daughter loves going to school now and speaks so highly of everyone there. The staff seem to really know her and give her so much affection and warmth; she tells us regularly how much she loves them all (but particularly her key worker, who she has a real soft spot for). We can already see such a difference in her confidence and resilience from just a few months of attending Hopscotch and we are so grateful.

My main criticism is the hourly service charge added to those who qualify for funding. Those who qualify are often very very hard up, which is why they qualify for funded childcare so that they can work. Some places waiver the service charge depending on individual circumstances but Hopscotch won't.

It would be good if my son came out with his hoodie/coat on when it is raining or cold as quite often he comes out with just a t shirt on.

Overall our experience has been good, however, I feel in recent months it has gone downhill, and feel we are not communicated to enough with what is going on in the nursery and staff changes especially as we are not allowed in the building.

My daughter attended Hopscotch and my son has recently started there. Its a great nursery. The staff are brilliant with lots of the people who looked after my daughter back in 2018 now looking after my son which is lovely. The environment is fun and welcoming. The outdoor space is fantastic. Both of my children have eaten really well there and enjoyed the food. In my experience the nursery is very well managed, the phone is always answered and emails responded to. Very happy with mine and my children's experience so far.

All staff are wonderful - caring, supportive and happy.

As parents, we have always felt very well informed and the nursery is managed really well. The adults know our daughter and value her as an individual. She is safe, happy, well cared for and stimulated.

Both my children settled very well at the setting and I'm confident in their care of our children and it helping them grow and flourish. I can not recommend it enough!

We are super pleased with the attentive love and support that both our son currently receives and our daughter received whilst attending Hopscotch Botley.

The staff are absolutely fantastic and are always so welcoming upon drop-off and collection. They know the children inside out in relation to their likes and dislikes and are always keen to take the time in discussing what they've been up to.

We can not recommend it enough and will miss it so much when our son joins his big sister at school in September.

We changed nursery to this one on recommendation and we’re not disappointed. Our daughter has absolutely blossomed here, and is always so happy to tell us about her day. We get detailed hand overs and they give the children excellent food every day. The practitioners are kind and always helpful? And our daughter was taken in and settled immediately. We’re so happy here.

Great supportive, educational environment with very friendly and helpful staff - I've never seen a staff member not smiling! I am confident my daughter is receiving well rounded care - couldn't really ask for more!

Both of my children have attended Hopscotch Botley and I couldn’t recommend it enough. Staff are excellent and feel safe in the knowledge that my children are cared for in a loving, safe environment.

Our daughter has been really happy in her 2 years at Hopscotch Day Nursery Botley. She has learnt so much and feels so comfortable with the staff. She is off to school this year and our 8 month old will be starting with Hopscotch next month!

This is our second nursery and I’m so glad that my daughter is happy at this facility, can’t wait to go to nursery every and she is properly looked after there. The staff is amazing and so supportive all the time.

Lovely nursery. Great staff. Our girls have attended since babies and have developed and grown in a safe and fun environment. We always get great communication and updates and feel that our girls are well prepared for starting school

Our daughter absolutely loves going to Hopscotch Nursery! She gets excited in the car when I tell her where we're going and she always goes in with a big smile. She enjoys the range of activities (climbing, reading, crafts etc) and seems very comfortable with the staff.

He raves about the food and the garden and I really appreciate the updates from staff. It feels like the staff go above and beyond for our children and after a previously negative experience elsewhere it is refreshing to have had such a positive experience at hopscotch.

We love Hopscotch Day Nursery Botley and are so pleased we chose them to start both our children’s ‘Early Years’ journeys. The staff are so friendly, hardworking and knowledgeable, and they show such care for the children and their families. They provide a range of fun, purposeful and engaging activities daily and we love the updates we receive on Tapestry. Their beaming faces in the photos speak a thousand words! Our daughter, (who now goes to school) loved every single day she spent there. Our son has just moved from Babies into Waddlers and he is thriving there.
