Hopscotch Day Nursery Botley

Such a fantastic nursery, putting the children at the heart of all their choices and decisions. The Hopscotch Botley setting is perfect for my little one to grow from the babies room, all the way until pre-school, with the setting offering her a little bit of everything needed! The food served to her is Fantastic, they've considered her dietary needs and overall, I couldn't be fonder of the setting.

I have been super impressed with Hopscoth Nursery, Botley since day one! Throughout the day, we get updates on what our child has been eating, how long she's been in the garden, how long she napped for and her nappy changes. They also give a comprehensive run-through on pickup as well as regularly posting photos on the nursery app so we can see how much fun our child is getting up to. They also assess the child's progress and inform us of her communication, social and physical capabilities. They've really helped our child's speech develop and she's constantly learning through play, songs and books at nursery. They really take an interest in seeing each child develop. Hopscotch also makes sure that our child safely explores the world around her, taking her for days out to the park and allowing her to explore their big garden! This is a really great nursery and we couldn't be happier with the environment our child is attending every week.

Given our excellent experience, we wouldn't consider using any nursery/preschool other than Hopscotch Botley. The team are fantastic. Everyone knows our son, not just his immediate room team, and greet him by name. He's always made to feel welcome and cared for in the setting. He's had a wonderful range of opportunities, and we love the addition of woodworking. The outdoor space is fantastic. The Botley team have also created lovely experiences and opportunities for parents, and are always supportive, offering advice. The team have really helped us to foster a curiosity for the world around us and a love of learning for our son. Staff take an interest in what he does when he's not at their setting, making it feel like a very personalised service. It feels like we, as parents, work as a team with the staff to create a warm, happy environment in which our son can thrive.

The team are very helpful and great at making the kids feel supported and more grown up. The food always smells great and I'm often told 'Yours is not as good as pre-schools'. The activities always vary. Our general rule is, the filthier they are when they come home, the better the time they have had. Communication has always been very good. They have also been very supportive of us and have accommodated last-minute days where needed. Even when I have phoned up with as little notice as 7.30 am on the day. Where space and staffing allow, they have always helped. We will miss you all when school starts!

I'm also so touched that all the staff in babies actively cuddle and soothe my child when needed. There are a few comments about the pricing, however, for the service received it is very much fair. At drop-off, I don't have any anxieties that my child's needs won't be met and when I collect her she is always really content.

My son attends botley hopscotch 3 days a week in the preschool main room. The girls are always working together to help support my little boy, especially with his meal times and school readiness. The food is lovely and there is a wide range of selection across the week. The team are super friendly and welcoming and the facilities have a lot to offer, specifically the garden for its large open space and stimulating activities.

At Hopstotch Botley, you are always greeted with a friendly welcome and smile from the front desk team. They are very accommodating and understanding when you ask a question or submit a request. My son loves to go to nursery and the Baby and Waddler Team have been amazing throughout my son’s nursery journey so far. The teams are smiley and always happy to answer any questions for you. They give you a good overview/run down of the day your child has had and provide activity observations. Within the many different activities, there's plenty of time spent outside in the garden in all weather which is great. Last year, Hopscotch even hatched some ducklings and my son had a lovely experience seeing them up close before they were sent back to live on a farm. I am very happy with Hopscotch and would totally recommend the nursery to my friends.

Couldn't recommend highly enough!

Our daughter has been at Hopscotch since she was 2 starting in Toddlers and recently moved to Preschool Hall. Took her a while to settle initially but all the staff have been amazing and kept us updated on how she was getting on two different apps. She loves going now and we always get a great handover of how her day has been.

My daughter started here in October after we moved to the area and has settled so well in toddlers. All the staff are always so helpful and friendly, and my daughter really enjoys going to nursery and has bonded well with all the adults in her room. Management always responds quickly and is happy to help whenever needed. The facilities are excellent - a huge outdoor space to explore. We are so pleased we chose Hopscotch.

The children have lots of things to do throughout the day, and we get great updates showing how she's getting on.

The staff show genuine care for my child, I have no safeguarding concerns, and they offer a good variety of food which is made fresh on-site every day.

Excellent range of food ensuring a varied and balanced diet, and trying different textures and flavours; reflecting what we do at home.

We recently attended an 'open morning' for our granddaughter. It was a pleasure to witness first-hand the wonderful activities available for the children and to meet the staff in a more informal way - thank you! Hopscotch Botley has been wonderful to my granddaughter since she arrived as a five month old baby. As caring grandparents we are so delighted that our daughter made this nursery her choice. Everyone is amazing and our granddaughter has developed in so many ways. She is a very happy little one at nursery and is so stimulated and cared for.

Information on this website regarding fees is incorrect. This has been pointed out to the nursery and this website, yet still remains.

ASC is not £2.25 - it is £2.70! Fees are not raised annually, they have risen three times in 2023!

A lovely setting, with good staff, ruined by the management's treatment of its customers, with extortionate, unfair and regular fee increases.

We are now in our 5th year of using Hopscotch nursery with our second child now in the pre-school. Recently we noticed the price increases seemed to be excessive while also reducing hours. The nursery seems to have continual staffing issues leaving collection time chaotic with little information about the child’s day while the parent scrambles to find their items to take home. More concerning than this is the rate of price increase over this period. There has been a 42% rise in the cost of sending our second child compared to what we paid for our first child only 2 Years ago. I acknowledge that price increases are necessary at the moment but this is alarming and seems unjustifiable, with the nursery taking advantage of the limited ability to easily move to a more reasonably priced nursery. I would warn prospective parents to look closely at the pricing of Hopscotch especially when entitled to 30 hours free childcare and be wary of seemingly constant price rises.

My child has been with Hopscotch since June 2023 and we have seen significant developments in him in that time. We (my wife and I) went for a 'Stay and Play' on Saturday the 22nd of July this further evidenced how well my child is supported and cared for. Very happy thank you.

We attended a Stay and Play in the baby room at the weekend. It was such a lovely relaxed atmosphere and we enjoyed seeing what our little girl gets up to whilst at nursery. The staff are so approachable and accommodating. Our eldest came with us and enjoyed spending time with her preschool friend too!
