My daughter started here in October after we moved to the area and has settled so well in toddlers. All the staff are always so helpful and friendly, and my daughter really enjoys going to nursery and has bonded well with all the adults in her room. Management always responds quickly and is happy to
help whenever needed. The facilities are excellent - a huge outdoor space to explore. We are so pleased we chose Hopscotch.

Hopscotch has been a fantastic place for our daughter. The team are so good with her, and she really enjoys herself. It's been a really positive experience for us as a family.
The children have lots of things to do throughout the day, and we get great updates showing how she's getting on.

My little girl has been at Hopscotch since she was four months old. She recently turned two and is now in Toddler. I can’t speak highly enough regarding the care and attention she has received from all staff at Hopscotch. She has absolutely thrived with her learning at all stages and loves attending.
The support staff and management are so friendly and helpful, and nothing is ever too much.
I can’t recommend it enough. Thank you, Hopscotch team.

Hopscotch is a fantastic nursery, my child has a great time when here, the outdoor space is really big and they are always doing lots of different activities with them when indoors. Children are encouraged to learn and staff help to teach them important independent skills.
The management team are
great and whenever I have had any questions or concerns they have always communicated back with me as I would expect, whether that’s by email or face-to-face, I have never come away from a conversation with them unhappy, and can see they are there to support my child.
The staff show genuine care for my child, I have no safeguarding concerns, and they offer a good variety of food which is made fresh on-site every day.

Excellent nursery. Huge range of activities to keep children engaged throughout the day including sports, crafts, baking, role play, sensory, reading, and singing; based around themes and learning skills or values. Lovely outdoor space with both grass and hard standing, so can be used all year round.

We recently attended an 'open morning' for our granddaughter. It was a pleasure to witness first-hand the wonderful activities available for the children and to meet the staff in a more informal way - thank you! Hopscotch Botley has been wonderful to my granddaughter since she arrived as a five month
old baby. As caring grandparents we are so delighted that our daughter made this nursery her choice. Everyone is amazing and our granddaughter has developed in so many ways. She is a very happy little one at nursery and is so stimulated and cared for.

Updated. Recently received a third increase in 6 months! Justification centres around service charges, changes are unreasonable, with no material change in government funding. Transparency and rationale of fees lack any credibility.
Information on this website regarding fees is incorrect. This has
been pointed out to the nursery and this website, yet still remains.


ASC is not £2.25 - it is £2.70! Fees are not raised annually, they have risen three times in 2023!


On the first fee increase, opening hours were reduced, effectively rendering it an even higher increase relative to hours. Massively disruptive for my family.
Previous instances were charged fees when the setting was closed (through their closure, with notice given the previous evening at 8 p.m.), leadership citing nonsensical “internal” policies.
A lovely setting, with good staff, ruined by the management's treatment of its customers, with extortionate, unfair and regular fee increases.

We are now in our 5th year of using Hopscotch nursery with our second child now in the pre-school. Recently we noticed the price increases seemed to be excessive while also reducing hours. The nursery seems to have continual staffing issues leaving collection time chaotic with little information about
the child’s day while the parent scrambles to find their items to take home. More concerning than this is the rate of price increase over this period. There has been a 42% rise in the cost of sending our second child compared to what we paid for our first child only 2 Years ago. I acknowledge that price increases are necessary at the moment but this is alarming and seems unjustifiable, with the nursery taking advantage of the limited ability to easily move to a more reasonably priced nursery. I would warn prospective parents to look closely at the pricing of Hopscotch especially when entitled to 30 hours free childcare and be wary of seemingly constant price rises.

We attended a Stay and Play in the baby room at the weekend. It was such a lovely relaxed atmosphere and we enjoyed seeing what our little girl gets up to whilst at nursery. The staff are so approachable and accommodating. Our eldest came with us and enjoyed spending time with her preschool friend too!

A fantastic nursery! The outside space is brilliant and laid out well. Our son's speech developed so quickly after starting here. He really struggled with his speech at his previous nursery setting. We get plenty of communication via face-to-face and Tapestry. More than our previous nursery setting.

The staff at Hopscotch Day Nursery Botley have been overwhelmingly awesome. my daughter has a wonderful time there and has been a part of the "family" since she was 11 months old. Our daughter was really reluctant to attend pre-school when she first started in June of this year. The team provided lots of tips and support towards our family in helping her to settle and were always so friendly, approachable and kind. When we have had minor concerns, these have been dealt with quickly
and robustly. Our daughter loves going to school now and speaks so highly of everyone there. The staff seem to really know her and give her so much affection and warmth; she tells us regularly how much she loves them all (but particularly her key worker, who she has a real soft spot for). We can already see such a difference in her confidence and resilience from just a few months of attending Hopscotch and we are so grateful.

Hopscotch is a good Nursery with lovely excellent outdoor play areas and garden.
Some staff are very nice. My granddaughter has had lovely key workers although these have changed every few months.
Recently some of the rooms have been combined and I am confused as to why this was seen to be a good
idea.
The food/meals provided are varied and seem nutritious.
My main criticism is the hourly service charge added to those who qualify for funding. Those who qualify are often very very hard up, which is why they qualify for funded childcare so that they can work. Some places waiver the service charge depending on individual circumstances but Hopscotch won't.

Always hard to judge how good the nursery is without being able to go inside although it seems like a good nursery overall but there are a few points which I wanted to mention to see if they could be improved:
I feel like I don't get much feedback about what my child has been doing during the day usually
just if he's had a good day. It would be nice to have more detail like what he did/played with/how much he ate etc
It does seem quite common for the nursery to lose clothing items, dummies etc
Whilst this probably can't be helped sometimes it's frustrating as obviously expensive to keep replacing things especially as a coat was lost.
It would be good if my son came out with his hoodie/coat on when it is raining or cold as quite often he comes out with just a t shirt on.

My daughter attended Hopscotch and my son has recently started there. Its a great nursery. The staff are brilliant with lots of the people who looked after my daughter back in 2018 now looking after my son which is lovely. The environment is fun and welcoming. The outdoor space is fantastic. Both of

My son has been attending Hopscotch since the end of 2019 and my daughter started this January 2022. From the outset the staff have been so friendly and welcoming, I feel they really know and care for us as a family. During covid they communicated well and have tried their utmost to continue providing
a quality service through what was obviously exceptionally difficult circumstances.
Both my children settled very well at the setting and I'm confident in their care of our children and it helping them grow and flourish. I can not recommend it enough!

A wonderful nursery which I couldn’t recommend highly enough. My daughter loves attending and even announced that she had had ‘A fantastic day today!’ when she was collected. She has built excellent relationships with her key workers and talks enthusiastically about what she has done at nursery.
As
parents, we have always felt very well informed and the nursery is managed really well. The adults know our daughter and value her as an individual. She is safe, happy, well cared for and stimulated.

Hi, I’m Jodie and I am the manager at Hopscotch Botley. I have worked in the Early Years for 25 years, starting as an apprentice. I have worked in various settings over the years and have spent 7 years working in a school supporting SEN children.


I am delighted to be part of the Hopscotch team and look forward to working with my deputy Olivia Doyle.
We aim to provide all our children with a rich learning environment, where each child is able to explore and flourish supported by highly-skilled, passionate practitioners.

Hi I'm Kirsty, I'm the deputy manager here at Hopscotch Botley. I have been with the company since 2012 and I have experienced many different roles throughout my childcare career, including working my way up from bank staff to the waddler room leader, before moving onto my role here at nursery as Deputy Manager. I have two children so I understand how important early years care is. They have both attended the Titchfield setting as I know Hopscotch is the best care for them. I am excited to bring my ideas and knowledge into the role and am passionate about building links within the local community.
