The food is good and my son regularly devours all of it. He also enjoys the activities that are arranged by the staff. The staff keep good track of developmental stages and report back to the parents regularly. I am particularly enjoying the use of the parents app.

My daughter started at the nursery a few months ago and has settled in well. The staff are lovely in both the baby and the toddler rooms and always ready to answer your queries. They always ask after the baby when you drop her in the morning and give special attention when teething/ unwell. Thanks for being so amazing!

I would like to be kept better informed of my child's bad behaviour so I can help her with this.

Our son started nursery last month at 11 months old in the baby room. The settling in process was very smooth and it was amazing to see him so quickly feel comfortable with the staff looking after him. When I drop him off in the morning there is a warm welcome from management and staff in the room, everyone is so happy to see my son and he is just as happy to see them and say good morning. I leave every day knowing that he is happy and in safe hands. He eats, sleeps and plays just as he would at home (if not better!). In just one month he is so confident with walking and starting to say so many new words. Any concerns we’ve ever had have been easily resolved by a quick conversation and I feel confident that the staff really care about us as parents and our son’s development and happiness. We visited so many nurseries in the local area and none of them even came close to this one.

My son started in the baby room in April 2018 and acclimatized very quickly. He has loved his time in the baby room and I put this down to his key worker who is wonderful. He adores her and I feel completely at ease that his good being and development are in safe hands. The food is also of a good quality and my son eats well. My son has made good friends with other children and he looks forward to going to nursery. There was an organised sports day in the local park which was a great event. The management is level-headed and friendly. If your child has a rash, they notify you but don't demand that you take the child home if the child is otherwise well. What could be better? I do get concerned that the staff are sometimes stretched. When one staff member is cleaning children the ratio of staff to children looks sparse.

The managers management/leadership skills should be praised. It is highly visible to see that under their management, the staff are truly valued and this comes through when the key workers engage with our children. The managers know all the children by name, as well as their parent's names. They take the time not only to manage the nursery but also to get to know and understand the children and parent’s needs. The deputy is also amazing. His nurturing advice cannot be taken for granted. All the staff employed in the nursery share the same ethos of care and enthusiasm, even the chef, which shines through every day. I see on a daily basis how my daughter has been attended/cared and loved by the nursery staff. Another two members of staff as well as some of the Bank staff in the toddler red room have been brilliant with my daughter. Her confidence has grown and she has really outgrown her distrusting and shy nature.

We have been part of the Active Learning family for four years. My son attended Active Learning from age 1 to 4; my daughter from 8 months to 3 years. The first thing I think of from all those drop offs and pick ups is how much the staff genuinely cared for my children, from the cuddles they got in the baby room to the warm and playful way they were treated in the pre-school room. I am so grateful for the way they partnered with us to help our children develop in a supportive environment and took to heart getting them through each milestone, from crawling to walking and even writing. And no reference would be complete without a mention of the senior team and manager - all of whom are committed to ensuring the nursery is friendly and well run for the benefit of the children, the parents and the staff.

We have been with Active Learning Southgate since January 2012 for our first child and returned for our second child when we needed a nursery setting. That alone speaks volumes and have recommended to numerous friends. The setting is warm, friendly, nurturing, energetic and varied. Love all the different "activities" both indoor and out and feel the structure works so well. Management are consistently well prepared and take on board feedback. Staff work with the parents to ensure children are comfortable with a tailored approach. Happy kids = Happy parents!

My twins have settled in very well with lots of support and guidance form all members of staff. They have gained confidence, are less shy and more open to new people because of it. Their knowledge has been increased greatly, in particular, their speech and vocabulary. We have just had another baby who will be joining the twins at the nursery next year.

From drop-off to pick-up, I feel 100% happy knowing my son is in great hands for 11 hours, 3 days a week. The activities and learning he has been exposed to is just fantastic and I am willing to pay for it knowing I get this satisfaction when I'm at work full-time.

The staff, care, management and resources is which makes this nursery outstanding.

This nursery was recommended by an existing student's Granny. I was so glad she recommended Active Learning Nursery to me. I am a very hands-on parent, the nursery management and staff have eventually gained my trust that my little one is under great care and in safe hands when I/we are at work. I like the CCTV access the most. This is also one of the main reasons why I chose this nursery. Her worker knows her so well and I have felt they truly care about her development and wellbeing, especially her key worker. I am happy with the nursery. No regrets.

Very pricey but for the service, well worth it.

I have noticed a great change in my daughter's behaviour and attitude. She is more confident in herself and makes an effort to play around others. She enjoys writing and drawing. The whole team are amazing at the nursery. Each member of staff does a great job. We are very pleased that we chose Active Learning nursery for our daughter. Great work to all members o staff.

Staff are professional and friendly. Very approachable. Good range of activities for kids to do. I would like to see more music lessons.

Every time I drop my daughter to the nursery in the morning I know she will be well taken care of during the day. The place is clean, full of things for toddlers to play with.

The girls in the Baby Room have been very helpful and have shown the required empathy in helping my son settle in the nursery. One to one attention has been offered to help him feel comfortable.

I have been using Active Learning Southgate (London) for a little over 5 months and completely trust the care provided by staff members. The staff are all very friendly to my little one. Any concerns that I have flagged the staff have been quick to respond and give advice which has been highly appreciated. My daughter loves and enjoys her time at nursery and has really developed in areas like eating habits and sleep, her social skills are also improving. I would recommend this nursery highly.

My daughter began at the nursery when she was just 8 months old which was an incredibly scary and daunting time. All the staff at the nursery made the transition to being a working mum so easy especially the staff in the baby room who are exceptional. They put so much thought and care into ensuring my daughter has a varied, fun, active and (even at her young age) educational day. When I leave her at nursery I know I am leaving her with people who care for her as much as I do and it is so reassuring. She does so many different activities from classic painting and sticking, music classes and baby yoga on a Wednesday more than I would ever be able to do with her at home. At the end of each day I am given a really thorough and informative breakdown of what she has done.

I cannot sing the praises of the staff enough - especially those in the baby room. Sometimes I suspect that she might prefer it more at nursery than at home!
