Bright Horizons Southgate Day Nursery and Preschool

Have been here a year and very happy. Staff all friendly, food is lovely, plenty of outdoor time and space, variety of activities, long hours, parking, clean, strict safety policies. Very reassured leaving my child here.

Both my children attended Bright Horizons in Southgate over the last 7 years and sadly our journey there has come to an end as my youngest has now gone to school. Both my kids started the nursery at 10 months of age and had wonderful starts to their lives due to the excellent, kind and nurturing staff in each and every class they were in. They have thrived and it prepared them both for their next stage at school. My oldest who left 3 years ago still remembers her nursery years very fondly. Both my children went through with the same key workers showing that the nursery retains their staff very well. Last but by no means least, I will miss the management the most! The team are wonderful, positive and so caring. They always went out of their way to support us and ensure our needs were met regarding our children. Myself and my family will miss them greatly.

Our daughter has been attending this nursery since she was 10 months old. The staff in both the baby room and toddler room have been so wonderful and caring. They always look forward to seeing our daughter and she is always excited when she arrives at nursery and greets everyone with lots of smiles! The manager and her entire team have been really welcoming and are always on hand to support any questions. The transition to bringing our daughter to nursery has been made as easy as possible thanks to the Bright Horizons Southgate Day Nursery and Preschool team. We have seen her development and growth in only just a few months thanks to the attentiveness of all of the team.

I'm so impressed with the level of cleanliness and the variety of food offered. It's lovely knowing that my child is sleeping and eating well, which has been communicated well through the app. They offer a calm, stimulating environment for young babies to explore and flourish in. I was over the moon with the little photo family book which they made for my child during the settling-in period. Thank you! It's always nice coming to pick my child up, knowing he's had a great day.

I absolutely recommend this nursery. I have two kids attending: one in preschool and one in baby room. First off, the front office is amazing! They are very helpful and understanding. The carers are just as great. With both kids, we have seen the immediate positive impact of joining the baby room in terms of their physical and social development. Our eldest will go to reception next year and I know that he will be ready for this new milestone thanks to the amazing support of the carers and all the learning that he has already done there. All in all, we cannot recommend them enough!

This is a wonderful nursery that both my children have attended. I would recommend it without question. The staff and management are outstanding. They create such a warm and loving environment and really get to know the individual needs of the children. It’s clear they are also invested in the development of the children and celebrate the milestones that are reached and provide encouragement and opportunities to try activities they wouldn’t get to at home. My most recent experience of the baby room has been exemplary and it really feels like my child has been treated like extended family.

We have been very happy with the care at Bright Horizons Southgate. The staff are friendly and caring and know our boys well. They have their best interests at heart. Both our boys are very happy.

Amazing staff who are wonderfully supportive and caring about the children. The curriculum and activities the children are provided with are brilliant. My children are super happy going to this nursery and as a parent, I wouldn’t want or expect anything more!

My boys have been at Bright Horizons Southgate for the past 3.5 years, the staff are always super friendly and always willing to help. This week I was late to collect my boys because of train issues and the staff were absolutely incredible! They were really really understanding when I called to explain I would be late, and when I finally arrived (in a completely exhausted and sweaty state) they went out of their way to help me calm down, take a breath and get my boys home safely. It’s times like this when the incredible staff really go out of their way to help! Thanks to all the staff at this amazing nursery, you are all very very appreciated.

Our kids really enjoy attending this nursery. The Manager and Deputy are great and run a really ‘tight-ship’. The Room Leaders and key workers are also really great and well-liked by our kids, however, there can be a lot of changes in support staff (particularly in age 2-3 room) which can be unsettling.

Toddlers get to spend a lot of time in the garden, but it is less when they get older which is a shame. It would be nice for older kids to have an opportunity for more free-flow play between indoors and garden, although this would be logistically very difficult with the stairs.

The facilities are great and the nursery is always very clean, with good heating / air-conditioning. Our kids both eat really well at nursery too.

The nursery is one of the more expensive ones in the area, but has long hours and is close to the station if you are commuting. The car park is shared with other users and is a nightmare at peak times, but nothing they can do about that really.

It is a relief for working parents to find a place where your children can develop in a safe and loving environment.

They provide so many lovely, stimulating activities and also the right level of educational learning to get them ready for the school setting.

My 1-year-old boy started last month and I am very happy with the nursery. The staff supported us a lot through the settling-in period, and my little one loves going there. The staff are very caring and sweet, but also very organised. The app is absolutely brilliant as you get info on how their day is going. Lots of different activities and varied food, which my little one loves!

We are very happy with how Bright Horizons staff all look after our daughter so well. It is a wonderful setting for a nursery and a great location. It is clear that the staff are passionate about caring for our daughter, providing lots of activities to enjoy and learn. Our daughter has developed her communication skills and I'm sure it's testament to the Southgate Bright Horizons team.

Bright Horizons Southgate is amazing! The staff go above and beyond and are so friendly and helpful, along with being amazing with my son. They’ve built a strong relationship with him and made him feel comfortable and happy when he’s there, he enjoys his time with the girls in his room and I cannot recommend this nursery enough. A Star.

My daughter has loved her time both in the baby room and the toddler room at Bright Horizons, Southgate. The nursery staff have taken wonderful care of her, and it's been incredible watching how her confidence has grown so much in such a short time at nursery! My daughter has particularly loved the singing and music sessions and comes home singing the songs learnt at nursery. Thank you to all the incredible staff for providing such a nurturing environment where my daughter has really flourished.

I have known the team at Southgate, Bright Horizons Nursery for five years. They are warm, helpful, attentive and always help when they can. I will miss the team when my youngest leaves this year. Thank you to the manager, deputy manager and two other staff members in particular and the team.

With preschool my daughter is not only looked after and cared for but she’s also being taught and prepared for primary school. She’s already learning how to read and write, as well as creatively explore the world around her and where she sees her place in it. Bright Horizons has also been excellent in socialising her and showing her how to interact with others in which there are expectations that she is respectful and kind and that she expects them to be respectful and kind to her.
