Bright Horizons Southgate Day Nursery and Preschool

We had a rocky start when it came to finding a place where my daughter would settle. I came to Bright Horizons desperate and not feeling positive at all due to previous setting. From the beginning, Alyson, Hasina and team were amazingly reassuring about the process and within a few days she was a BH baby! The baby room staff have been amazing, so patient and kind with my clingy one and they even managed to get her to sleep on her first day (unheard of!). I'm so so pleased, we look forward to the updates on the app and from the photos they send, we can tell she is genuinely happy there. She has been going for 2 weeks now so I can imagine it only gets even better from here. Thanks team

My daughter has joined the nursery since Nov 2025. We have enjoyed our experience so far. The staff are attentive and we feel our daughter is in good care. Some of the staff have been proactive to provide us with progress before we ask for it. Our daughter has settled in well and we feel she is enjoying her experience at the nursery.

We have had a great experience with our daughter starting at this nursery in November 2025. Staff are all friendly and attentive - our daughter looks forward to going to nursery every day. Management engage and communicate well :)

My son goes to Bright Horizons Southgate and he absolutely loves it, he always smiles when we arrive outside in the morning! I feel very confident in the staff and love getting updated throughout the day in the app - photos, videos and notes on sleep times, food, nappies and things like that. The staff are very friendly and accommodating if you have a particular need for your child. Opening hours actually work for working parents. Management team are brilliant. Definitely recommend.

The settling in period was over 2 weeks and was organised very well. There was great communication across the staff and they really worked well with my daughter to help her settle into nursery. They celebrated Diwali as well through some great activities. It was good to see the inclusion of various cultures. The staff are very reassuring and have made my daughter feel very comfortable during nap time and we are working together to try and get her to eat more during meal times. Their vegetarian menu is excellent and nutritious and best of all made fresh in house. They set good routines and it benefits her seeing other toddlers doing the same thing. She has started developing social skills and is picking up new words and learning new skills every week. Overall we have had an excellent experience so far.

Both my children attended this nursery and I can't rave enough about it! They absolutely thrived thanks to the attentive care of the team, and the management are fabulous. All the staff know the kids and families, and it makes for a caring, homely feel. Couldn't have asked for more!

We sent both our Children to Bright Horizons Southgate. We were very happy in how both were well looked after. This nursery offered a variety of activities and have helped our children be prepared for their journey into school. We highly recommend this nursery.

This nursery has really improved over the last 2 years. My daughter has had an amazing time in the baby room, staff are brilliant at developing her. Very very happy. 2025 management are just brilliant.

My child attends to BH Southgate for nearly 4 years now and I cannot tell how appreciated for the work the people at BH do for my son. He goes there every day with excitment and joy. They always make sure that he feels welcomed.

I cannot ask for anything more in a nursery. Bright Horizons Southgate is everything we could have asked for as first time parents and more. Our child absolutely loves his days at Nursery and since starting a few months ago, he has thrived. The staff are incredible and are fantastic at what they do. Everything is tailored to the cohort of children and my son has created and participated in activities that are creative and challenge him for the better. The care all staff members show for him is above and beyond and as parents we feel seen as individuals. The communication between parents and the nursery is faultless and we have full trust in the nursery in regards to the care of our son. The food menu is well balanced and my child eats a variety of flavours. The incorporation of activities like Boogie Mites, Baby massage are amazing! Our son may have only been in the nursery for a few months, however we cannot wait for him to grow up in the nursery and for him to continue to thrive.

Our experience has been great so far. The staff and management team are very kind and caring. They create a warm, nurturing environment with lots of fun activities and my little one seems very happy! Thank you!

My 4-year-old settled in so quickly, thanks to the caring and supportive staff. He absolutely loves his teachers, excitedly re-enacts his nursery day at home, and can't stop raving about the delicious food. The nurturing environment, fun activities, and warm atmosphere have made such a difference. It's wonderful to see him so happy and engaged every day. A fantastic nursery-I highly recommend it!

As I've said two of my children who have been with this nursery from 9 months old till 4 and I cant recommend anyone higher

It's a relief leaving drop offs with the feeling that our toddler will have a great day and the best experience with her friends. Management have been great. The nursery manager, greets us all and knows all the names of the children which is heartwarming and accommodating. We get to see what the children are doing throughout the day by logging onto an app and regular photos of the activities being delivered. I would highly recommend this nursery.

Very nurturing, kind and committed to the development of the children. We really feel heard and listened to by all members of staff and really appreciate all the love and care given to our little one! Thank you for all that you do!

They absolutely love the food too! My eldest graduated 2 years ago and he still speaks about the nursery food, warning my youngest that it won't be the same at school!

The greatest trust you will instill in someone is looking after your child. Whenever I drop him off I know he is happy, stimulated, loved and very well fed. Highly recommend.
