I would recommend the nursery 100% to family and friends

My daughter has been attending here since September 2017 & she absolutely loves it. All of the staff are amazing, I have never had any issues or concerns at all. The staff in the preschool room are lovely & my daughter has fitted in perfectly & is coming on brilliantly. I also think the value for money is fantastic in regards to the opening hours & what is provided within this price. I can not recommend this nursery enough!

As a first-time mum putting my 9-month-old baby boy into nursery was a daunting experience, even though I understand the importance of the early years to children's development it was still quite scary. Anyway, one month down the line, my little boy absolutely loves it and so do I. I'm already seeing the change in his confidence, his independence, the way he is with other children and his development is coming along great! The ladies who look after my boy in Cubs and Hedgehogs are fantastic, you can see the genuine care and affection they have for him and the real bond they have :). I'm really looking forward to seeing him progress through the nursery and feel totally comfortable leaving my boy in such great hands.

My son has only attended this nursery since January 2017 and in that short space of time, his confidence has bloomed! He is so comfortable with all the staff and always comes home talking about the ladies and his friends. We love to log into ParentZone together and look at what he has been up to throughout the day. I can't thank the staff enough for supporting me in toilet training over the last month, they have been happy in doing exactly the same as what I have been doing at home and now after just a few weeks, my child is fully toilet trained. Thanks girls! You do a fab job!

My son has struggled with his speech and at 2 when he started, he wasn't really talking at all. Now he's doing really well and I think a lot of that is to do with coming to first steps. Everyone can see the change in my little boy, he has gained a lot more confidence. I'm so glad I put him in this nursery as it truly is at a very high standard and I can't wait to see how well he develops as he moves up room up until he starts school.

I am so happy with the care given to my 9 month old little boy! I was so nervous leaving him but the nursery offered settling in days and made us both feel so welcome! My little boy kicks with excitement when we pull up outside and the staff are warm friendly and approachable! I am kept updated daily via an app on his day including nappy changes and meals! I couldn't recommend the nursery enough!

My toddler who attends this nursery is on the Autistic Spectrum. I am extremely impressed with the way he is progressing with the support of the staff, in particular, his key worker. She is supporting and guiding my son way above what is required of her. She keeps him calm, focused and allows him to participate according to his complex needs. She is excellent at her job. She really is an absolute asset to this nursery as are all the staff. They are all very helpful and make me, as a parent of an autistic child feel comfortable, relaxed and very grateful for the fantastic job that they do. I felt I had to post this to do justice to the work that takes place at this nursery. Well done.

Nursery's like this are hard to come by. The standards are a credit to all of the staff. They have a very important and difficult job to perform at times and they do it extremely well.

We love First Steps & will miss it lots when my youngest goes to school next year.

Our son enjoys going to nursery very much and has developed a lot since he started. The food menu is good and we like that the main facilities are all on one level. Staff are friendly and the leader for our son's group is fantastic.

The only slight negative would be the changing over of the staffing, as there seems to have been several staff changing around in the 9/10 months he has been in fantastic foxes as we are currently not too sure who the regular staff are now other than the leader - a couple of times our son has seemed to bond with a staff member all of a sudden they are swapped round.

Also, it would be nice to have the oppotunity to sit down with his group's staff and find out what he's been doing, what he's doing well with/what we could help him develop with at home (like a parents evening) as the staff are so busy during the day when we pick up/drop off it's hard to have these types of proper discussions about his development.

My little boy has recently gone into the preschool room and I couldn't be happier. In the short time he's been in there he's never been as happy and comes into nursery all excited and waves bye bye to his daddy. The things he comes home and tells us I just know he's loving it. He almost weekly has brought something home whether it be a cake, biscuit, painting, card or a letter he's wrote. He has learnt lots and has really come out of his shell around other adults.

I can say I'm happy with the nursery. My little one going there only 3 days a week from January and finally, I can tell she's enjoying every time, at least what I can see on the Parent zone app. Girls are really nice with warming arms. They know everything that she's done during the day, what she had for a dinner. I'm really happy with that. Only think when I was surprised when I saw picture of her outside and she had a slipper on. She has a backpack with her outside shoes and some spare clothes. I was told in the beginning the Nursery uses their spare clothes when the kids go outside, so it's been maybe a misunderstanding I guess. Other than that, I can't say a bad word.

First nursery my daughter has gone to. She's been there since September 2016 and I couldn't be happier with this nursery. My daughter is very challenging to get near as she's so shy and doesn't go to anyone. Not even her grandparents can get near her. Yet the staff have helped her become more open with others. She loves the staff in happy hedgehogs class. And has come far on trying new food too and in learning things ie colours, speech, sharing toys and making friends. She is two in February and is already using the toilet. She has grown so much since starting the nursery.

My son has been attending this nursery since September. We have pulled him out of 2 previous nurseries before starting him here due to their medicine policies. The nursery are fantastic, the staff care for my son like their own children. We get a full lowdown of his day everyday from his key worker and they are always happy to work around our varied drop off and pick up times. They have a full online system so if someone else picks him up I am still able to see his day online. They have an excellent door system and safeguarding policy. I fully expect my son to attend this nursery until he is old enough to go the school nursery and progress nicely though different age groups they cater for.

Its an excellent nursery. The main plus point being the staff. The actual manager has changed a couple of times recently so cant comment on them but the rest of the staff all have great communication skills, are friendly, approachable and seem to have a genuine interest in their roles. My son loves it there, just part time, 3 mornings a week. Cant fault them.

I think the nursery is fantastic I have 2 children at the nursery and they love it. The staff are wonderful and helpful, management are understanding. It is a lovely nursery and is bringing new things everyday.

Would and do recommend highly.

This is a great nursery, when my youngest daughter joined the nursery at 10 months old, they made every effort to get to know her and her character. As she has moved through nursery she gained in confidence and learned lots of new things. She particular enjoyed her time in Wise Owls and likes to go back to visit the room leader and nursery practitioner when we pick up my son.

I had no hesitation in my son starting at the nursery - he has now been there for a year and is excited to go to nursery each day. The staff in Happy Hedgehogs, particularly the nursery practitioners have really helped develop his character and have encouraged us to try things at home to help him learn new skills.

I would recommend First Steps Nursery to others, the staff make the nursery, they always say hello, are polite and get involved in various events and activities that the nursery take part in.
