First Steps Day Nursery & Pre-School Ltd

Our daughter has attended First Steps Nursery & Pre-School for 3 years now and she has loved her time there. The staff have always been friendly and helpful and I have never had to worry about how she would be looked after. I know our daughter will always look back on her time here fondly, as will we. Our son will be attending this nursery also. The classrooms are always clean and the outdoor area is great. We were drawn to First Steps due to their 'learn through play' approach and they have maintained that throughout our daughter has learnt so much there through fun!

My godson loves it.

The nursery is a welcoming place and has all children's best interests at heart. They have put in place social distancing guidelines and a good routine for sanitising and washing hands. All children seen happy and content.

The staff have been so helpful and supportive with my daughter and myself with our personal problems regarding my daughter's mother and are so understanding.

I am very happy with all the nursery staff that contribute to looking after my son at First Steps. His care and the levels of activities he does are fantastic.

The staff at First Steps Nursery are absolutely fantastic. My little boy seems so happy and really enjoys being there. The staff have really helped him to come along so much in such a short space of time and I feel they are so caring towards the children. I am also impressed with all of the different activities they do with the children and how they have got my little boy involved and enjoying taking part in them, as that has often been something that he has struggled with. A wonderful nursery with wonderful staff.

My son started nursery in December. I was very nervous at first but all the lovely staff made me feel at ease. He has settled in straight away and I feel very content leaving him there.

Lovely nursery. The girls in my nephew's room I can't fault. They are welcoming, upbeat and happy. As I walk to my nephew's room I go past the kitchen and the lunches smell delicious, and the cook always says good morning with a smile and is always happy. The activities I see in my nephew's room are outstanding and it clearly shows as he has come on leaps and bounds since starting. 10 out of 10.

My son has a great time every time he visits nursery and smiles each time we arrive. He is developing fast and this shows every day.

Very happy with the nursery. My nephew has settled in well, he's always happy when I drop him off. The safeguarding at this nursery is amazing as well. The staff all introduce themselves if I don't know them.

Great nursery. Lovely staff. Healthy meals. Everyone is friendly and all the children are happy to be here.

Fantastic staff and management, couldn’t ask for a better nursery for my grandchildren to go. Would highly recommend.

Over the past few months, my child's development has come on so much. The new management team are amazing they have taken the time to know me and all my children not just the one that attends the nursery. They have helped me with a few concerns I have had with my child's development and have given me great ideas on how to help her progress further. I will always tell everyone to take their child to First Steps. The new outside area is looking good. When I collect my child she never wants to come home.

Since the new management team have taken over in March, you can see the positive changes that have taken place. Staff are happy, motivated and welcoming at all times. The environment is stimulating and educational. All meals are healthy and the nursery has the golden apple award, which I think is important. Both the manager and deputy are always there to talk to if needed. The nursery keeps you up to date through email on upcoming events and celebrations. The administrator is very helpful.

I would highly recommend this nursery to any parents looking for somewhere to send their child. The staff are lovely and the nursery is always clean and tidy. My little girl loves it and I wouldn’t send her anywhere else.

My children love going to the holiday club. They do a variety of activities and outings. The meals are always of a good quality, healthy and of variety. The staff are always welcoming and have good relationships with both my children and both my children feel confident and comfortable with all the staff.

The girls in hedgehogs are fabulous with my daughter. She is always so happy when I pick her up and is always included with the other kids. I love that we get regular updates on the app and can see what progress my daughter makes.
