First Steps Day Nursery & Pre-School Ltd

We're really sad to be leaving soon as she moves on to preschool in a Primary School setting as First Steps has been such a special place for her, and we'll truly miss it. Highly recommend!

My son just turned 2 a few days ago & he can say the alphabet and count 1-10+! He is super clever and I purely put this down to nursery. My son sees Ella his key worker like a close family member, he always runs out the door when I say 'shall we go get Ella' he loves it there

I wholeheartedly believe that this is one of the best nurseries there is!! My son (2yrs) started early August and his progression so far has been nothing short of amazing. He was extremely hesitant and upset at first after having bad experiences with a previous nursery, but now runs in smiling and tries to drag me inside on pick up to play with him and his friends. His confidence and speech has grown tenfold and I'm that confident and satisfied in the staff that he'll now be going full time so I can go back to work. The staff are amazing, very friendly and caring and any issues are sorted with no fuss. It is everything you want in a nursery, feedback on their day and meals every day. Set activities to engage the children whilst still offering them space to explore and play independently. The manager Rachel has or makes time to listen to any concerns, as a nervous parent this has been a godsend. Thank you to the whole team.

Our little boy started in June and we have been so happy with the care all the staff has shown since.

When I first visited, I got a really nice feeling compared to others I'd also viewed in the area. I always remember the children running up to the manager which made it feel like she was very involved with the children in her care. The staff make it a very warm and welcoming place for everyone in it. My mum and dad have equally always felt welcomed by all staff when they have picked him up.

Our little boy struggled to settle in initially but nursery really supported us and gave him extra settling in sessions to help with the transition. Now, he's a completely different little boy who loves to go in and looks so happy during the day on the pictures we get daily.

You can tell he has a close bond with the staff in his room especially when they answer the door in the morning and his face lights up. There is nothing but genuine care for the children in this nursery.

Couldn't reccomend a nursery more.

I was afraid of what it would be like placing my daughter in nursery as I didn't know what to expect but each and every member of staff has been so wonderful in helping my daughter transition and she absolutely loves nursery and the staff there now. I would highly recommend first steps nursery. They took away all my fears as well and my daughter is now thriving!

Both of our children attend this nursery, changing nurseries was the best option we made, our son comes home telling me about his day and calls it his "cool nursery" they get to spend a lot of time outdoors and have a range of activities. From when we first looked around we knew it would be a great match for us, the team really care about the children and keep us updated throughout the day with plenty of photos.

My eldest son went to first steps a few years ago and despite living a bit further away I chose first steps again for my younger son who has been attending since he was 8 months old. He has recently moved to pre school and loves every single day that he spends there. He names the ladies as his best friends. They show so much care and compassion, are approachable, professional and friendly!

It is a fantastic team; my little boy adores the staff. The manager and the team are brilliant. The food being offered is wholesome and nutritional. I couldn't be happier with the care being given to my son. Thank you!

My daughter started at first steps in February and the staff have been absolutely amazing. They have supported us through the huge transition of our daughter starting at nursery and I feel happy and confident in leaving my daughter with the staff. All of the staff I have encountered have been supportive, kind, caring and helpful. They are fabulous with my daughter and I couldn't have hoped for a better experience! The app used has helped reduce my anxiety in the early days of my daughter commencing nursery and is lovely to see what she has been doing during her day.

The parent app allows me to have an insight into his day and I love to see what he has been up to! It is my favourite time of day to see his nursery 'moments' I especially love that staff follow my child's interests and provide tuff trays and activities to expand this. A very big thank you!

A great nursery for little ones! My son loves it here, he actually asks to go on days that he is not actually in! The staff are very good and they have really taken their time to not just get to know my son but also us parents as well and we are always given a warm welcome every time we arrive. A special thank you to the Nursery Practitioners who have consistently worked with my son and have always provided us with updates throughout the day, which is appreciated due to the anxiety we have leaving him!

I am so happy with First Steps Nursery - my son has attended for 2 years now and is currently in the pre-school class. His speech, confidence and independence have soared since starting. Each member of staff I've spoken to at pick-up time has been lovely - friendly and courteous. They really care for the children and it shows in the way they interact with them. I am always greeted with a smile.

The outside space is fantastic - like a big garden with different areas to explore or ride scooters and bikes and is secure. Inside has large rooms with a great range of play opportunities. The ladies plan brilliant and inventive activities for the day and these are communicated through an app along with photos of your child playing, plus information like the food they've eaten (which is always varied and healthy). My son is happy to go to nursery and I'm happy to send him - I know he has a great time.

I absolutely love this nursery! The staff always go above and beyond for you, and the manager is always so accommodating. When you're looking for a nursery, this is exactly what you need! They are so transparent and honest! My daughter has been there for over a year and absolutely loves it! She calls the staff her friends and has developed a lovely bond with them.

Great nursery, great/kind staff my son loves going here without a doubt! Always give updates via the app/photos of what they have been up to and tell us in person upon pick up. Can't fault First Steps best nursery my son has gone to which my next little boy will be going to later this year.

My little girl started first steps in September and I've been so happy with the decision I made in choosing this nursery. She absolutely loves it and comes home so happy, it's lovely to see photos of her on the app every time she's there and I love to see how comfortable she feels with the staff and how much effort they put in to make her afternoons so fun. She comes home chattering about two members of staff at the nursery and telling us what she's eaten. It's a gorgeous nursery with a very calming feel to it and management have been nothing but helpful every time I've had a question to ask. I'm going to be sad when she moves rooms in a few weeks but I'm sure the staff in the next room will be just as lovely!

My child has been at this nursery for nearly a year but started to go full time in September. First steps nursery is such a lovely nursery. The staff are amazing I cannot fault them! The manager is very warm and welcoming and will always try and accommodate the days you need your child to be in nursery. They have brilliant facilities for the children and the staff do so well with the different activities to help the children learn. I couldn't ask for a better nursery and better staff to take care of my child!

Great nursery and staff. There is lots of space inside and outside for the children to play. The activities are always imaginative and the children learn so much, as well as having lots of fun. The food is great too and the nursery is very flexible with dietary requirements.
