Greengables Day Nursery, in Sandhurst, has been purpose-built to offer a spacious and comfortable learning environment for children. They have also obtained their Silver Eco-Schools Award.

All children get daily access to the well-resourced garden as the nursery recognises the positive impact that outdoor play has on a child's social, emotional and physical development.

Greengables Day Nursery also offer the extracurricular activity of Usports every Wednesday for the Preschool room.

The nursery is open from 7.30 to 6.30 and offers a fully inclusive package, helping to support busy parents through an exceptional service.

We have always been happy with the incredible welcome and care that our son has received since joining the nursery in 2018, but I wanted to take a moment to thank all of the staff who are currently working during the covid 19 pandemic. Our son is not currently in attendance but we have received regular
contact via emails, phone calls, and received home learning ideas for us which my wife has eagerly completed and shared on his parent zone app. He still asks when he will be going back which is testimony to the love and fun he has there, as we are now 6 weeks down the lockdown line. You are all fantastic and we can’t wait to get back through those doors. Keep up the incredible work you are doing!

My daughter has attended Greengables since August 2019 and has absolutely thrived. We noticed an immediate change in her behaviour and development upon starting nursery, and this has been enhanced further over the past 9-months.
The meals provided are wonderful and gives my daughter the opportunity
to try new tastes that we wouldn't ordinarily have at home.
The team are attentive, caring and knowledgeable, and I feel comfortable leaving my daughter in their care.

Amazing nursery! From the minute I sent my son to Greengables I have always felt at ease that he was well looked after. He has grown and gained confidence away from us and is now always talking about going back to nursery the next week. Everyone is informative and nothing is ever too much bother (even
throughout the current COVID19 pandemic they have been absolutely fantastic so that there’s no extra stress for us parents and especially me as a keyworker.) I cannot thank them enough for the care they have given our son and family unit and would have no problem in recommending Greengables, as I have done several times. Outstanding in our eyes.

Great nursery having sent two of my three boys there, lovely facilities and lots to do inside and out. My son loves going and it has encouraged him to try different foods, being a picky eater and is also helping his speech come along nicely.

My daughter has been attending Greengables since June 2019. I couldn’t recommend this nursery enough, the staff are so lovely and welcoming, they give a full handover and make me feel welcome when I come to collect my daughter and they are able to tell me what my daughter has enjoyed and taken part
in. They have built great relationships with both myself and family members which would collect my daughter. She is very happy going to any staff member.

When I first started to look for childcare for my daughter, I looked at a number of nurseries in the area and some near my work. I was so taken in by the general feel of Greengables that every time I came home and my partner said 'was it nice' I said 'yes' and he replied with 'but it's not Greengables'
and I knew in my heart of hearts it was the place for her. Now she's gone to school I can see that my decision to send her there was the best I could have made. When she graduated in August 2019, I was so proud of the young lady she had become and her confidence had grown all thanks to the wonderful staff at Greengables. Each and every member of staff is truly dedicated to providing the children with the best possible experience and preparing them for what comes next. I would recommend any parent to consider Greengables for their childcare needs.

From the moment we walked through the doors at an open day at Greengables last year, we knew from the amazingly friendly staff and wonderful indoor and outdoor environments that we couldn't imagine a better place for our son to be when he is not with us. He started in April this year and Greengables
has not only lived up to but exceeded all our expectations. Our son loves the time he spends at Greengables and all the fun things he gets to do and it has been amazing how much he has flourished in such a short period. We can't recommend Greengables highly enough.

All staff are very kind and helpful. My son absolutely loves being there full time. They have hot meals twice a day and plenty of fresh air time too. I am extremely satisfied all round and would recommend to anyone.

Our son has been going to Greengables since he was seven months old and has worked his way through three rooms. His care has always been fantastic, the staff genuinely care for the children and form amazing relationships, which really help to build confidence and encourage independence, there isn't
any area of development that has not been enhanced by attending this nursery. Our son has made some great friends as children are encouraged to play, especially outside, which was a real selling point for us. Meals offer so much variety and go down well with our little boy who often wants more!

Greengables has been really good with my daughter.

This is a fantastic purpose-built facility with staff who all clearly care for the children. The admin needs improving as we often seem to owe you money, yet we pay by direct debit and you never owe us money? Outside space including car park is why facility score is low. Maybe no staff parking before

The staff are friendly and always welcoming. My daughter loves playing outside at the nursery, exploring the entire garden on her own or with friends. There are regular fitness activities that I feel are a real benefit along with more and more learning activities as the children grow (she is in pre-school).


The

staff are always ready to listen and my daughter has formed bonds with a number of them that clearly makes her time there enjoyable.
The extra time and effort to create information (song sheets, phonics information, story focus) for us parents to continue a theme at home is a nice touch that provides continuity.


The opening hours allow both my wife and I to work and so create necessary flexibility.

My little boy has been at Greengables since a baby, using each room they have to offer. He loves nursery and all the staff. The education offered is of a high level and well resourced. Ideas are fun and creative.
The use of outdoor sports coaches and animal visits are provided at no extra cost. Staff
are happy and work with parents to make sure that any issues are sorted quickly.
The nursery is clean and inviting, staff take care to keep displays current.
Managers are hands-on and support staff well.

Our children have gone to the nursery for several years now. Both children love their time at the nursery and look forward to going in, even getting upset when they can't go in due to illness. We are very happy with the level of care and development at the nursery and have sene our eldest child doo

The month my eldest had his graduation and left preschool. Cannot thank the staff enough for helping me raise my boy. His confidence, speaking and learning abilities are more than I thought they would be. He was also happy and never had a day he didn't want to go.

Greengables Owlsmoor is a lovely nursery and preschool. My experience with sending my 2 boys to Greengables has been above satisfactory as they have both been happy. The staff are amazing and have worked with me to ensure the needs and upbringing of my children are met, for example changing dietary
requirements. It is also lovely to see my children flourish from going to Greengables. They learn lots, get involved in a variety of activities indoors and out and have fun. I would definitely recommend Greengables to friends and family.

Julia Grant

Job Title: Nursery Manager Joined: 2015

Julia is the Manager of Greengables Day Nursery in Owlsmoor and has a wealth of experience, having worked in the early years sector for over 20 years. Julia joined Childbase in 2015 as a Deputy Manager at Greengables and later transferred to West Downs to take on the role of Nursery Manager, at another Childbase Nursery. Julia has now returned to Greengables as Manager.


What is your favourite feature of Greengables?
I love that Greengables is all on one level with every room having its own access to its own decks and garden.


What are you most proud of about your nursery/team?
I love the team culture at Greengables, everyone looks out for each other.
