Greengables Day Nursery, in Sandhurst, has been purpose-built to offer a spacious and comfortable learning environment for children. They have also obtained their Silver Eco-Schools Award.

All children get daily access to the well-resourced garden as the nursery recognises the positive impact that outdoor play has on a child's social, emotional and physical development.

Greengables Day Nursery also offer the extracurricular activity of Usports every Wednesday for the Preschool room.

Our Son started in December 2018 and he settled in really well. We were so nervous at first as he’d never been good in groups of people he didn’t know. He was put at ease so quickly by the fantastic staff. They were excellent at helping him settle in. He’s come on so well since being there and learnt
so much. They’ve helped and assisted us as parents with tasks we’ve struggled with. Toilet training and eating different foods. His manners have excelled also and he’s becoming such a lovely young man. He loves talking about his day at ‘school’ and all the activities he’s done and he’s made some wonderful friends and bonded with so many. You get a detailed, daily handover from his teachers as to his activities and foods eaten. And he looks forward to going back every day. We couldn’t recommend this Nursery setting any higher. Amazing setting and awesome staff.
He is really going to miss Greengables and all the staff when he leaves to start school in September.

My son has been attending this setting for just over a month now. He has been at a different nursery since he was 10-months-old and is now 2 and a half. We felt he needed more than was being offered so moved him to Greengables on the recommendation of a friend. Having never been inside the nursery and
never meeting the staff this was almost a blind decision but one that we are so glad we made.
The staff have been nothing but outstanding since our son joined. They clearly care a lot about the well being of the children and this shows in the huge beaming face I am met with at the end of each day.
The activities they carry out look fun and educational all at the same time. It is also clear that each child is understood as an individual and time is taken to ensure their own different needs are met.
I am so happy we made the leap to Greengables and look forward to seeing our son’s journey over the next 2 years.

My son has been attending Greengables since he was 4-months-old and he has loved it from the very beginning. Greengables has always met ours and our son's needs but during this pandemic the have been extraordinary. They have adapted so much to ensure the environment is a safe place to enter and everything
has been so smooth and well organised. I couldn't fault Greengables in any aspect of their care and learning for our son. They have helped him to develop into the little man he is today. I would 100% recommend Greengables to anyone looking for childcare. The outside space is phenomenal which our son absolutely loves.

In a word, Greengables is amazing! Our son started when he was 7-months-old and has worked his way through all the classes to pre-school now. The manager and her team continually go above and beyond, and the teachers in the room provide excellent care. We visited other local nurseries before placing
our son but were won over by Greengables' purpose-built facilities.
Something we found to be invaluable was a discussion with the manager about our son's nervousness about returning after lockdown. She asked the teachers in his bubble to film and upload a short video of his friends playing. She didn't need to do this, but it helped immensely and resulted in a smooth transition back to pre-school.
I would highly recommend Greengables to any prospective parent as the staff here are driven to make the children thrive.

I can't thank or praise the team at Greengables enough. My two children have recently started back and I have been reassured every step of the way. They have both settled back in brilliantly and this is thanks to the wonderful team. They have always been on hand to answer any questions - no matter how
small. The team are so welcoming and have been great at communicating to parents during these very uncertain times.

I would highly recommend this nursery. The staff are exceptional, and my two boys (aged 1 & 3) really enjoy going. The staff really take the time to help settle children in and genuinely care about their development. All staff are very friendly and approachable. The outside space is great and the inside
is well thought out. We have also been highly impressed with the management and communication throughout the Coronavirus pandemic.

Superb nursery with amazing staff from top to bottom.
Having recently moved into the area finding and choosing a new nursery was the most important thing we needed to do. Our daughter had been at her previous nursery since she was 10 months (she was 4 years old at the time of our move) and we made
the mistake of opting for a different nursery initially due to its locality. This was a mistake. Within 2 weeks we had moved our daughter to Greengables and we are so very pleased we did. Despite having visited Greengables during our initial search, in hindsight, we should have gone with our initial gut reaction and chosen them.
Quite simply, what a wonderful wonderful nursery.
Amazing practitioners (special mention to the staff member who helped settle our daughter), fantastic set up in each room and a real emphasis on developing the children. As parents, we couldn't be any more grateful to everyone at Greengables for looking after our daughter.
We can't recommend highly enough!

My daughter has been attending this nursery for the last 4 months and absolutely loves it. I was quite concerned when she first started that she wouldn’t settle as she is quite a clingy baby but I was delighted at how quickly she took to it and all the staff. The staff are so friendly and caring and
you can tell they genuinely love their job and all the children. Would recommend this nursery in a heartbeat. Thanks for all your hard work and support!

Greengables was actually the only nursery we looked at because we didn't need to look at any more, Greengables felt like a great place to send our daughter. From the beginning we've felt very happy and confident sending her there. This comes from the great staff, their creativity, communication and
overall approach. I'll be sad to say goodbye when she moves to school, but also really pleased that she went there. It's a lovely local community and we made the right choice.

My daughter loves attending Greenables and looks forward to attending. I am always impressed with the variety of activities available. Also the outside space is great, which for us was very important as my little one loves being outdoors. Staff are lovely and always warm and welcoming when we arrive.

Where do I start? This nursery is absolutely fantastic and I recommend it to everyone I meet. It is so well run, and the staff are so caring, thoughtful, professional, encouraging with my children and they really treat them like their own family. Both of my children have been at this nursery since 12
months old, and they have developed so much during this time. The staff really take a genuine interest in what your child is learning, and you work together with them on this. There is so much variety in each room, and the outside space is absolutely fantastic. If you are looking for a place for your child to have a home from home, you should definitely choose this nursery. You won't be disappointed.

Since viewing Greengables, I couldn’t have felt more welcome and comfortable to place my daughter in their care. My daughter loves it there, I find she is so sociable and learns a lot from the days she attends. Greengables always keep me updated on her progress, milestones, meal information and just
general communications. I have absolutely no reservations in recommending Greengables and have already signed my newborn son up to attend in the future. Thank you to everyone there for being so welcoming, friendly and efficient!

My daughter started in the caterpillars room in March 2020. The team are incredibly flexible, willing to keep to her routine which was so important to us. She built bonds so quickly with a number of the team and settled in far more quickly than I could have ever imagined. All the staff at Greengables
are so warm and friendly, all willing to go above and beyond for the children and their families. The hours of drop off and collection are very flexible, in fact more flexible than any other nursery in the area when we were viewing. We are also so impressed with how Greengables prepares the older children for school and this is one of the main reasons why we chose them, we were absolutely right in our decision.

Our daughter is currently in pre-school so is coming to the end of her stay at Greengables. She started in the youngest group as a baby so has been through each class. I have to say it’s a wonderful nursery. She absolutely loves it and is really missing it during these difficult times. Everything about
the nursery is fantastic, all the staff, the rooms with all the games and things for the children to do. The outside space they have. All the games and educational things they get to do and learn and the wonderful fresh cooked food they have to eat. As I say our daughter has loved her time there and made lots of lovely friends. I would highly recommend.

Fantastic Nursery with outstanding staff. The environment is purpose built and welcoming. As a first time mother returning to work I felt very anxious and the staff were so reassuring and supportive. The team of administrative and nursery staff always go above and beyond to ensure our daughter is well
looked after and cared for whilst at nursery. The parent app is great and provides up to date information about your child's days including photos and videos demonstrating their development and daily activities.
We are so fortunate that our daughter is at this nursery and I would definitely recommend it to other parents.

I have 2 children at Greengables. Both have been there since 11 months and now we're in pre school. I had no idea at the time quite how important Greengables would be to us over the years. Being a parent is tough, it is so reassuring that Greengables are there to support and guide you. The staff are
all so cheerful and friendly and, they always take time to talk and listen. They have been so helpful and professional through difficult times like potty training and challenging behaviours. We recently had 2 weeks away with self isolation where I truly appreciated what a stabilising effect they have for our children. The meal plan is excellent and it was quite a challenge trying to match it in our time away. They manage to get our kids to eat all kinds of things they won't at home! Finally, I think the great management team has such a positive effect. They have systems in place which are maintained and reviewed, I have always felt safe with them.

I would recommend Greengables nursery to everyone - they have been wonderful. Both of my children have attended here. From the baby room up until preschool - all the staff are fantastic here and take the time to get to know each child individually. My youngest took a little while to settle and the
staff in the baby room went above and beyond with trying different techniques to help her settle/eat/sleep etc. The handover to each room move is brilliant. The children do a wide range of activities throughout the day and have access to a brilliant outside/garden area. The cost of the nursery covers everything so you don’t need to remember to pack everything in the morning. Please go and view this nursery if you are local and trying to find a nursery for your little ones.

My son started at Greengables when he had just turned 1. It was so daunting leaving my baby in the hands of what were effectively strangers! He starts school in September and we haven't had a single regret about our choice of nursery. We have always received regular updates, the communication has been
exemplary. Whenever we have raised any questions or concerns the staff have been there straight away to answer us and help. Our son loves all of the staff there and has learnt many things. I would definately recommend!

Our daughter joined Greengables Nursery when she was 10 months old and we couldn't be happier with her experience. From our first initial visit, I was very impressed with Greengables. The teaching staff are fantastic and it shows in the happy faces of the children. We are regularly kept up-to-date

Julia Grant

Job Title: Nursery Manager Joined: 2015

Julia is the Manager of Greengables Day Nursery in Owlsmoor and has a wealth of experience, having worked in the early years sector for over 20 years. Julia joined Childbase in 2015 as a Deputy Manager at Greengables and later transferred to West Downs to take on the role of Nursery Manager, at another Childbase Nursery. Julia has now returned to Greengables as Manager.


What is your favourite feature of Greengables?
I love that Greengables is all on one level with every room having its own access to its own decks and garden.


What are you most proud of about your nursery/team?
I love the team culture at Greengables, everyone looks out for each other.
