Your Co-op Little Pioneers Nursery & Pre-school Charlton supports the transition to school as they have a link to Sherrington Primary School meaning their children have direct access to the school grounds. They make regular supervised visits to the classrooms, use the assembly halls and see the bigger children in their environment.

They are big on happy children. They have areas for growing food (and eating it), regular visits to local care homes and a focus on taking care of each other and the world. The nursery holds the prestigious Green Flag Status Award (the highest possible), an Eco-school programme that sees children lead the way in making little changes that deliver big environmental differences.

They are big on safety which is why ALL their staff are paediatric first aid trained and they have 5 Little Pioneers who help share their core values with the children, such as encouraging them to be independent to making a difference in the world.

They also have a ParentZone app that keeps mums and dads informed about life at nursery which includes photos from their day, meals eaten, assessments and even toilet training progress!

Each age group 0-2 and 2-5 years have their own rooms which they have personalised to create their own areas they can enjoy. The nursery has a luxurious balcony for the over twos which has a roof canopy allowing the children to extend their play in an outdoor environment.

Babies have a separate soft surface garden area with artificial grass, giving them varied textures to begin to explore the outside world in play. There are musical toys and mirrors attached to the walls to provide stimulating play.

Would absolutely recommend Charlton Co-op nursery - my son just loves it! He was younger than 8 months when he started and has settled in very well - the staff and management have been very caring and taught him so much! He is now 18 months and can’t wait every day to go into nursery- the number of
activities they do is just great and as parents we are kept well informed on his progress and daily routine! Can’t be more thankful to the nursery for the great experience we are having!

We joined the nursery during the lockdown, hence seen the nursery only via the Zoom meeting. The nursery manager was very helpful, showed the facilities around and answered all our questions. Once the lockdown was lifted we were invited to an open day and we saw the nursery in person. We were switching
the nurseries, hence were a bit worried about how well our daughter will settle in. I'm glad to say she's doing very well and enjoys her new nursery. There are always 2 activities organised on a daily basis that keep her occupied and interested and at the same time, there is time for free play in the afternoon. The garden area is huge and for us, it's a massive change comparing to the previous nursery. And finally, the app - we receive pictures and constant updates on what our daughter does during the day which is awesome. I can send comments/questions and always receive a response from the key worker within minutes. We made the best decision to switch, just wish we did it earlier.

I cannot recommend the Co-op Childcare Charlton highly enough. My son attended from aged two to six and my daughter has been at the nursery for the past two years. The nursery provides a very stimulating and nurturing environment. The staff team are well trained, very friendly and really attend to each
child's individual needs thus ensuring that their time at nursery is safe and containing, whilst also gently encouraging learning and independence. My children loved and love the outdoor space, which includes a covered balcony that is accessible in all weathers and ensures children can access both indoor and outdoor activities at all times. Daily online updates ensure that parents know of the many varied activities their children have engaged with and what food they have eaten, which is tasty, nutritious and cooked from scratch every day. I cannot recommend this nursery highly enough. The manager and her lovely team are fantastic and go the extra mile.

I am very pleased with this nursery. My son has been there since September 2019. He is always very happy going every morning. The staff is very competent, they are calm, smiling and caring a lot for the little ones. I have seen my son developed and learn a lot thanks to them. There is a low turnover

Our child is happy at this nursery and so are we. This is 3rd nursery that our child has attended and by far the best one. He has never cried that he would prefer to stay at home, which sometimes makes us a bit envious!

We are very happy with our child's care at the Co-op Childcare Charlton. The manager is extremely dedicated and involved and our son's key worker is enthusiastic, warm and caring. Both she and other staff are always friendly and let us know how he's getting on. The app used by the nursery is great -
we get regular updates and know exactly what our son has eaten, how long he's slept for and what he's got up to that day. We are also happy with the additional precautions being taken during the pandemic, including weekly rapid tests for staff being carried out currently. The facilities are excellent and we especially like that both the Caterpillar and Butterfly rooms have separate spaces in the garden, meaning that both older and younger children can go outside more frequently. It's also good that there's a separate room for babies to sleep in, rather than them having to sleep in a busy room whilst other children are playing. We would highly recommend this nursery to other parents.

Our daughter has been at Co-op Childcare Charlton for over a year now, and are very happy with it. All the staff is very friendly and has been super helpful, throughout the pandemic. The facilities are great with plenty of space for the kids.

My daughter started attending this nursery three months ago and she has learned so much in a short space of time. The facilities at Co-op Childcare are excellent and each day has a number of planned activities. The app they use to update parents is updated at least three times daily to inform parents
of the meals served and activities/highlight of the day. The staff are very knowledgeable of child development and think of many activities to engage in.

Our son has been here since he was ten months old, he will turn three soon and he could not be happier. The management team are fantastic and have managed a very difficult year in 2020 with exceptional care. All key workers are excellent, nurturing and work hard to build a great relationship with the

Having gone through a not very nice experience when my son started nursery with a different provider, I was hesitant with him going to a new nursery. Since he started in September this year here, he has been having the best time attending nursery and has made some strong relationships with his keyworker,
staff and the other children. The nursery staff have gone above and beyond to ensure that my son had a good settle and always provide me with updates of his day. He has lots of variety of food as well as catering to his allergies, the staff set out lots of fun and interactive learning for the children and using different materials and settings to do so. The garden is fantastic and he is able to spend time in the garden every day. The manager and her staff have just gone above all my expectations, and they made the transition for me as a parent, leaving my child, a much more relaxed experience as I know that he is in good hands.

The team at The Co-operative Childcare Charlton are an excellent bunch! They are very professional in the way they take care of my little girl. My little girl looks forward to going to nursery every day as she enjoys the toys, the other children and the staff give her all the attention she requires.

We are very pleased with how our key worker helped our child to settle into the nursery. We are confident that all the staff, especially our key worker, are providing a safe and caring environment for our child, because we can see that our child is looking forward to going to the nursery in the mornings
and is always happy after attending the nursery. Our key worker communicates all the key information about our child's day to us every day and also provides information on how we can reinforce the learnings achieved in nursery at home. The management at the nursery is also excellent. They're always helpful and quick to respond.

The team at the Co-op Childcare at Charlton, are excellent. Very caring, responsive and I felt very happy leaving my daughter in their amazing care. My daughter has thrived whilst in the nursery, I couldn't recommend them more, and wouldn't really choose any other nursery for my daughter in the area.

We first called the nursery when I recieved word that I would need to go back to work the following week Monday. It was meant to be, because they were the only reasonably priced nursery with a space for our then 1-year-old. On her settling in days our daughter was treated amazingly and it made us feel
at ease that she would settle in ok. After only one month of crying our daughter settled in and fell in love with all of her teachers. She would ask for them by name and the relief is indescribable since it's so hard leaving your child with anyone. The staff are all amazing and the fact that they have so much love for our kids is really such a great thing on top of their skills and professionalism. My daughter loves nursery and gladly says goodbye to me as she goes in. I'm grateful I found a place here and could see my child there until she starts big school! Thank you to all the teachers at Co-op Charlton!

My son has been in Butterflies now for 5 months and in that time he has grown in confidence in his manner and speech. He has a strong bond with the carers there, in fact, he wants to go back when I pick him up at lunchtime. The food and activities have been a success and seem focused in direction e.g.
shapes, sizes, numbers, painting and other play. The relationship with the parent is also appropriate with informal updates at the nursery daily via the app and formally through the newsletters and parent/teacher meeting - so as a family we are happy.

My son has been attending here for nearly a year now and our experience has been amazing.
The whole team are always friendly and welcoming. They are also extremely knowledgeable and experienced at helping my son to develop which has put my mind at great ease - particularly as he has some special educational
needs.
Everyone has been incredibly supportive and accommodating of this. I love the community vibe the nursery has and my son loves going here.

Where to begin? This nursery is truly fantastic. The management team put their heart and soul into everything they do at the nursery, and you can tell they really have a passion for children.
I had a terrible experience with a different nursery in Charlton and was really worried about trying another
nursery setting (I had used childminders successfully in the past), but I am so glad I chose to put my trust in the manager and the team. My son has blossomed under their care and I would not hesitate to recommend the nursery to every single parent!
