Bright Horizons Harpenden Luton Road Day Nursery and Preschool

We've been so happy to send our son to Bright Horizons from around the age of 9/10 months. The staff are so welcoming, friendly and enthusiastic. He loves going there every day - it truly is a second home for him. The management are very involved and responsive too - contacting us and keeping us updated when our son hasn't been feeling 100%, etc to discuss this with us. Would be very happy to recommend.

Both our girls are incredibly happy at Bright Horizons Luton Road. They skip in every morning and are all smiles when I come to collect them. The staff are wonderful, welcoming, engaging and really caring. We are very happy we chose Luton Road Bright Horizons.

I was really anxious about my son starting nursery at the tender age of 3 months, however the nursery team have been absolutely amazing helping us settle in. The team’s commitment, care and support has been invaluable for us in our journey. We couldn’t have wished for a better nursery for our baby boy.

My child has been very happy here. When you ask him his friends' names, he also includes the staff names. His learning has been fantastic, and he is a very emotionally intelligent boy now, and his speech has come leaps and bounds.

Our eldest son is now at school but absolutely loved his time at Bright Horizons Harpenden Luton Road. We saw him flourish emotionally, socially and educationally. Our youngest is still there and loves it. The staff are amazing-warm, kind and nurturing, and the nursery is run impeccably by the manager and her team.

My daughter gets so excited when we pull up outside nursery. She loves going here and all the staff take such good care of her. It makes leaving her so much easier when I know the staff are amazing with her and she wants to be there.

I have had all three of my children at this nursery over the past eight years, which I think says a lot in itself. During that time, I have seen many developments, including management changes, building refurbishment and the introduction of policies to adequately manage childcare through a pandemic. Throughout all of this, the quality of care has been excellent and seamless. I feel that my children have been looked after by staff who are competent, well trained, motivated and, most importantly, kind. The nursery management seems to have instilled an ethos that places an emphasis on the happiness of the children. Of course, there have been times when my children wanted to stay at home rather than be in a nursery. However, they invariably come out with big smiles on their faces, telling me about days filled with activities and learning that I couldn't hope to have emulated at home. The lunches are also well designed to be nutritionally balanced. I always recommend the nursery to friends.

Our two boys absolutely love their nursery and preschool every day! The staff and the management are amazing, always so supportive. Our boys enjoy the outdoor gardens and it’s so cute to see them playing happily when picking them up, especially in summer when the weather is nice. The best choice in Harpenden, for sure.

My daughter is very happy at this nursery and is thriving. The staff are friendly and welcoming. I really like the app which shows what my daughter has been doing and also what she has eaten. This is a well-run nursery that I would recommend to others.

My child has attended Bright Horizons, Luton Road for over a year now. Firstly, despite the worldwide struggles with the pandemic, the nursery has tried it's upmost to maintain their efforts across the board. Their response to the pandemic has been incredibly effective and child centric. We have had constant communication from the management dynamic duo and I have felt confident and assured sending my child there. Their efforts in ensuring rooms (and nursery) maintain their outstanding status are continuous and I am seeing their efforts in raising the bar even higher. My child is really thriving at the nursery, from the moment we are welcomed at the door, until collection, my child is in their element. Staff take the time to focus on the needs of each child and really work with us, the parents and the child, to allow them to flourish. I am impressed with the continued excellent efforts of the management and their entire team (including the chef and his team!).

My daughter attended to the nursery since she was 2 years old. She has been very happy attending the nursery and preschool from the first day and I really appreciate the care for her and the way the staff has been with her. Even through the covid period, we considered the nursery was a safe place for our daughter and we decided to continue bringing her. She has learnt plenty of things and she loves to come home really excited about what she does during the day. it would not have been a better place for her in the early stages of her learning process. Cannot recommend this nursery highly enough. Entrusting your babies to be looked after by someone else is a difficult decision, especially if they are very young. One of mine started at the nursery from 9 months old, the other at 2 years old and both are absolutely thriving from this dynamic, fun, social and learning environment. Their personal development including language, feeding and communication has noticeably improved. All of the staff know the name of your child and they are treated individually. The staff are fantastic at what they do and the children adore them. The key worker system works well and the app is great for daily updates, so you know what your child has been up to, what they have eaten and how long they have slept etc. The children are always happy to go and settling in sessions before they start allows you and your child to settle well into the nursery experience. It is worth having a tour to see this for yourselves.

Our daughter has been attending nursery at Luton road since January. The staff have been so supportive and positive throughout, settling her into her move up to the toddler room. She is always excited for a day at nursery and it has really helped her development. We are updated regularly on her skills/development through the app, which is lovely to see and helps us to understand her more.

Both our children have attended/are attending Bright Horizons, Luton Road. Our eldest was well prepared for school upon leaving. They have lots of fun. We are pleased with the range of activities they do. The teachers are all very caring and friendly and take on board any communication regarding our children. Would happily recommend it.

I can’t rate Bright Horizons, Luton Road enough. The management team are excellent. They keep you up to date and informed of anything that is happening at the nursery and are very quick to respond to any questions you might have. The teachers in the rooms are excellent, they really do care. I have now had experience of the babies, toddlers and pre-school and both my boys go happily into nursery every day.

Our son loves his days at Bright Horizons. The staff are super friendly and also happy to get stuck in with messy play, which he loves! He’s made a real connection with the ladies in his room. We couldn’t be happier.

The staff at the nursery are absolutely brilliant! They are very communicative, attentive and really help the children thrive. I could not be happier that my two are here. I would 100% recommend!

Both my children have loved their time at the nursery and preschool with my daughter still in nursery there. I’ve always been confident of the high standard of care they receive. The children love the staff - who make them smile even if they have arrived at the door with a frown! Our son has been at the nursery for 3 months and is thriving there. He grins with excitement when we drop him off and when we pick him up he is always so busy playing he’s hard to pull away. We love the updates and photos we get both through the app and at the end of the day. All of the staff are so friendly and give him plenty of cuddles. Finally, the variety of food our son gets is amazing and the setting (inside and out) is absolutely lovely. I’d definitely recommend the nursery.

We've enjoyed the pictures he has returned with, the drawings and special attention letting us see what he does day to day. He is comfortable in the nursery and returns really chatty and tells us about his day.
