Acorns House (Park Grove, Cardiff City Centre)

My son had confidence issues and challenges in his social skills and communication. Since attending Acorns House (Park Grove, Cardiff City Centre) since beginning of 2023, I have seen my child grow in confidence. The staff in Acorns are caring and nurturing and I felt at ease/reassured. They have been extremely supportive and understanding of my son's needs and I feel grateful for all the staff involved in his care.

Generally happy with the setting. Great resources and very clean. The staff in Maple group are friendly and welcoming and provide lovely feedback at the end of the day showing that they know my child.

Overall we are very happy with Acorns House.

Our girls started at the nursery two months ago and we couldn’t be happier with the school. I always feel good when I drop them off because I know the teachers will take good care of them. My girls are always happy when they come home and have learned a lot of new things.

Occasionally, we find some members of staff less warm and friendly, but overall, we have been really happy with Acorns staff and the care provided. Thank you all.

Would recommend Acorns House 100%. Our daughter had 3.5 amazing years there, with wonderful staff and fantastic facilities. The people, the place, and even the food, were commendable. We picked this nursery on our first visit to it and never regretted this.

Staff are friendly, helpful and really do care about the kids! They are always doing various tasks with the kids and ensuring they are kept busy and entertained! Thank you so much for looking after my son during his time at Acorns he has loved every second of it which makes me feel at ease!

We are so pleased that we chose to send our daughter to this nursery. The staff go above and beyond to provide an excellent experience. They do so many activities with the children and we really feel like she is part of a family there. We will be really sad when it's time for her to leave.

Acorns House is an outstanding nursery. My daughter has attended since Jan 21 and my son attended between 2018 and 2020. The staff are fantastic, they know my daughter and her needs very well and I have absolutely no doubt she is in the best hands. My daughter will be leaving in the Autumn and we will be very sad to say goodbye to Acorns. The property is a home-from-home, safe, incredibly clean and well maintained, warm and welcoming. There is a wide range of activities and excellent access to outside space as well as a varied and healthy menu. My daughter's key worker is brilliant and always takes the time to talk through my daughter's day and her development. The management are well organised and keep us informed and communication is clear. I honestly can't praise Acorns enough and I have recommended to friends.

Excellent overall; in terms of premises, professionalism, educational standards, and interpersonal skills, as well as management are flexible with childcare arrangements. My child thoroughly enjoys Park Grove nursery, and I am confident to put him in the hands of the highly competent staff, who were usually assigned to look after our son and did a splendid job.

This is a fabulous nursery. We now have our second child attending five days a week, and - like our first child - they absolutely love it at Acorns. The staff is very attentive and supportive; the activities are diverse; and the food is excellent. The kids are clearly having a lot of fun during the days. I find the rooms a bit small for the pre-schoolers, and the outdoor space is not huge either. But the overall spirit of openness, emotional attachment, and the general pedagogic approach make Acorns a brilliant place.

Acorns is an excellent nursery. My daughter is very happy and well-supported. She was adopted aged 2 1/2 and has some additional needs from time to time as her infant brain processes her history. My daughter talks incessantly about the nursery staff and loves them.

My son has been at Acorns House for the last 2.5 years. He absolutely loves coming into nursery to see his friends and the key workers who look after him. The care for my son is absolutely fantastic and I never worry about leaving my child. The welcome in the morning and feedback at the end of his day is always lovely. Nothing is ever too much trouble. The activities are brilliant and my child has come on leaps and bounds since coming here. He will be so upset to leave for school this year. Thank you Acorns House.

Couldn’t be happier with the level of care my daughter has received while attending Acorns House. She absolutely loves it there as well as all the staff, who are all phenomenal. I have always been blown away by the extremely high standards of everything involved, I attended this very nursery myself as a baby and it’s safe to say that their standards have never even faltered for the last 20+ years. I have never trusted a care provider more with my daughter, it will be very hard for the both of us when she eventually moves on!

My son absolutely loves going to nursery! Every morning he is stepping into the building with a big smile on his face and that assures me he is well taken care of! I would definitely recommend Acorns House to my friends!

I couldn’t recommend Acorns House more. Both my children have gone in happily every day and everyone that has looked after them does so with kindness. Staff always go the extra mile and reassure you if you have any concerns.

Acorns Park Grove are absolutely fantastic. From day one, we have had the most incredible experience and my daughter can’t wait to get through the door. The range of activities is great and the access to outdoor play is an added bonus.

My 3-year-old daughter has attended Acorns House since she was 9 months old. (My son also attended for 3 years previously) the staff and management are amazing and always ensure the children have the best day in a home from home setting! My daughter loves being at nursery and it's all she talks about at home! I'll be sad when she has to leave to start school.

Both our daughters have attended Acorns House and we couldn't have wished for better. The staff are amazing, caring, friendly, always welcoming and so helpful. The facilities are second to none, making this the nursery that I recommend to all friends and work colleagues. Staff ensure that the children have sufficient time to settle in (even during a pandemic). Our second daughter started once nurseries could open after the first lockdown - settling in days were offered (as many as needed) and being unable to go in with our child, staff gave me the confidence that she would be absolutely fine. She loves going to nursery to see her friends and key workers. We couldn't be happier with the care given to both daughters when attending/attended.

My son has attended Acorns since he was 1. Despite being able to access free childcare in a different setting, we chose for him to remain in Acorns as he has thrived there. We have never had any concerns leaving him there each morning and trust the staff and their judgement. Staff are extremely communicative, engaged, and happy - the staff turnover is low - and clearly enjoy their roles whilst managing parents well. The one difficult conversation we needed to have was made easy, with adjustments made to ensure diverse and inclusive resources were available to all children. The hygiene, food, learning opportunities, and play resources are excellent; my son is always happy to go to nursery each morning. We have nothing but good things to say and have been thoroughly impressed over the almost 4 years, with one year during a pandemic! We would definitely recommend this nursery.
