Acorns House is located close to Cardiff City Centre in Park Grove. The nursery is made of three Victorian buildings, carefully renovated to provide a warm, light and airy environment where all children can learn, develop and grow.

Children have access to a range of facilities, including creative, messy construction, playrooms and peaceful cot rooms.

The nursery staff works to ensure each child has a fun, memorable time at the nursery. During their time, children can benefit from home-cooked meals within a glass roofed dining room, overlooking the garden area.

Staff offer children a wide range of play options, including sensory play, holistic and heuristic play, soft play, music and movement, role play, art and sand and water.

Now open from 7am to 6pm.

We are thoroughly happy with the care that our daughter receives at Acorns House. She comes home and we see the difference in how much she learns. She talks about coming into nursery and seeing her friends. We only wish that we could send her in more. The staff are amazing and we would recommend Acorns
House to anyone we know.

My child started at Acorns House in October 2024. The care and attention they have received has far exceeded our expectations. My child has additional dietary needs and the staff have been both accommodating and reassuring, not to mention exceptionally supportive. My child's key workers give a real
sense of being cheerleaders for all of the children in their care and create a real sense of community in the nursery. My child has thrived in the care of Acorns House and has come on in leaps and bounds, physically, cognitively and socially. There is a clear strategy for each child's development, excellent communication regarding progress and well-being and in addition to this a sense of home like pastoral care and warmth.

We enrolled our baby with Acorns. The first nursery we viewed was Acorns House and it truly set the bar. Acorns was by far the cleanest environment and on our tour you could see the genuine care the key workers have for the children and the love and respect the children equally return.
It was the
only nursery that wasn't pushy for us to sign immediately and gave us the opportunity to think things over and digest. We are lucky that if we require last-minute childcare, there is often a spare place available to accommodate him.
We feel the communication of the nursery and the activities are unbeatable.
I wouldn't hesitate in recommending Acorns and if we are fortunate to have more children in the future, would love for them to experience the Acorns House Nursery.

Words can't express the gratitude I feel for the care and love they have bestowed on my two children in their care over the last three years. Acorns Park Grove, and its staff, feel like an extension of the family. The relationships they establish with the children and parents alike are excellent and
I have felt so safe knowing my children are receiving the best care at Acorns. They are flexible, kind, considerate, warm, everything you would want in people looking after your children. The facilites are exceptional and the catering team do an excellent job in creating a varied and healthy menu for the children. Having looked at many nurseries, I knew as soon as I walked through the door that Acorns was the one. Nothing else compares. Each member of staff goes out of their way to welcome you and your child.

My daughter has attended Acorns for the last 18 months and I have nothing but praise for the staff and facilities at Park Grove.
It's immaculately clean, so many different activities for the children to participate in, a lovely outdoor garden area, a huge variety of meals and the most lovely staff
who have gone above and beyond to make sure my daughter was happy and comfortable during her days there.
All of the staff, even ones who aren't in the same room as my daughter, know her name, know who I am when I come to collect her, and know what her room are doing whenever I arrive. These small gestures always make me feel that it's such a safe and secure environment to be leaving my child.
We, as a family are so sad that she'll be leaving for state nursery soon but are looking forward to our second daughter attending when she's a little older.

Well what can I say. I so wish I put my son in this nursery from day dot, best decision ever made. The staff are amazing and friendly, my son has settled in so well and he is thriving. He always comes home happy. I highly recommend!

My daughter has been attending Acorns House since June 2023 and absolutely adores it. The staff are wonderful, always very friendly and make sure that I am kept up to date on the day's activities. The nursery itself is very clean (this was one of the things that I noticed during my initial visit) and
very well-equipped. My daughter's speech has come on wonderfully since she started attending Acorns House and she can now count up to 10, knows colours and shapes. The menu is very varied and my daughter always enjoys the food. I would highly recommend Acorns House and in fact, my older nephews and nieces also attended - wonderful nursery!

My 8-month-old daughter has been coming to Acorns House for a couple of months now and she seems to love coming and so far, I have seen progress in her confidence and social development.
She loves seeing the girls in the morning and confidently goes to them.
I enjoy seeing her progress throughout
the day, such as meals, bottles and sleep, and seeing the photos and development progress.
All the staff are lovely, always kind, caring and nurturing.

The support and care for our children provided by the staff and management team at Acorns House (Park Grove, Cardiff City Centre) has been second to none. The learning activities are superb and our daughter regularly teaches us what she has been doing. When we had a health issue with out son every team
member was there for us and supported our daughter. Only downside is lack of wrap-around care so be aware of this before joining (no regrets at all). Other than that I cant rate the team, staff set up and culture of Acorns highly enough. Whole heartedly recommend.

When came the time to find a nursery for our baby of 8 months, I was so uneasy. The first time we visited, myself and my partner, were completely at ease. Acorns is a multi-sensory, multi-learning, clean, homely, quaint place. Its staff are outstanding, I trust all the ladies to teach, care and help

All staff have been so welcoming and friendly. Our son has settled in so well and goes into nursery with no problems.
He loves the food and sleeps well there.
We have good feedback on his day via the app with plenty of photos of him enjoying his day. He also comes home with lots of artwork for his
memory box.

I started working for Acorns nurseries in 1999 as a Nursery Nurse, progressing to an Assistant Manager then a Nursery Manager.


I have managed Acorns St Mellons, Acorns Oakfield Street and Acorns House since September 2022.


I love being a hands on manager interacting with staff and children, I love art and crafts, seeing what wonderful masterpieces the children can create!
