Acorns Whitchurch is located in a grand Victorian house in the heart of Whitchurch and welcomes children from birth to five-years-old.

The nursery is very much at the heart of the community in Whitchurch. The children enjoy lots of visits from local visitors such as fireman, policeman, dentists and visits to the local care home for singing sessions are always eagerly anticipated by the residents.

The large windows and high ceilings ensure a light and airy space in the playrooms where the children enjoy a variety of activities such as music time, dressing up, sensory equipment and the book corner.

The little ones can enjoy activities such as sand and water play, jelly play, painting and specialist trikes and scooters ensure that even the most active boys and girls get to use up all their excess energy.

Absolutely fabulous nursery and my little boy adores all the staff. They cater for his dietary requirements well and he has developed a huge vocabulary since attending.

Both my children have loved nursery and are always happy going and unhappy to leave. I don't have to worry about my children at all as I know they are in excellent hands and communication is awesome. I have been extremely grateful for all the work they do developing their skills. Boris is such a hit
that they are trying to convince me to get a tortoise.

Amazing nursery, where the staff are caring, friendly and full of fun.


The children have a ball!


My little boy has been there since 6 months old and it is like a family. He has such a wonderful time and as parents we are so happy we managed to get him into somewhere where he is so happy.

The staff working at Acorns Whitchurch are fantastic. They are always happy and exude a positive attitude. The care which my child has received has been fantastic. Having a milk allergy, I was concerned that my child might encounter some issues with food along the way but the nursery has gone out of
its way to ensure that she is catered for and included in all events where food is concerned.
The outdoor space is lovely and I am glad that it is utilised frequently. I would highly recommend Acorns Whitchurch to others. Keep up the good work.

Since starting the nursery last year, my son has massively benefited even though he's only in for 1 day a week. The staff are really lovely, easy to talk to and very good at keeping me updated on my child's progress. He's a lot more outgoing since starting nursery and I know he's well looked after because
he always gets excited to go back every week. I am sent regular updates of what is going on regarding my child's time in the nursery and the staff are very good at answering any questions I have. The building itself is spacious and is equipped with good quality resources to enhance my child's learning and imagination. I can't recommend it enough.

I can’t recommend Acorns Whitchurch enough! Fab nursery, friendly atmosphere, lots for the children to do and the staff are wonderful. We’ve used Acorns Whitchurch for childcare for both my sons and we wouldn’t go anywhere else!

My daughter has attended Acorns Whitchurch since January 2019 and we can't thank the staff enough. The staff have been kind, caring and thoughtful to us through what has been a difficult transition for us and our daughter. She now adores going to nursery and participates in many activities I wouldn't
even consider doing at home! The nursery is very clean and the menu is very appetising. We recommend Acorns Whitchurch to everyone!

This is such a wonderful nursery and I cannot recommend it enough. The staff are always so helpful and every week my daughter comes home with new paintings, drawings etc. I cannot thank the staff enough for how much they have helped my daughter settle into nursery life and it is wonderful to see my

Our son is about to graduate from Acorns Whitchurch in July, but has had 2 stints at the nursery. He started in the Babies room, before moving to the Toddlers room. We spent some time in a different city and had to take him out of nursery, which was difficult since the nursery set a high bar. We've
since returned to Cardiff (Feb 2019) and have him back there until he starts Reception.
As a baby and toddler, I can say without hesitation, that we always felt he was looked after and later entertained. Our son was always happy and engaged with the surroundings and his peers. We have to concede that it was the environment at nursery that taught him to walk and explore, as well as giving him confidence. He made some friends, one of which is still present and they still play together.
The staff have always been warm and welcoming to us during drop off and collection.
We'll be hard pushed to sway away from considering Acorns Whitchurch when we feel the need to enrol our daughter.

Whitchurch Acorns is a warm, welcoming nursery with lovely caring staff. Both of my children have attended nursery here (my daughter still attends) they started as babies and went right through to graduation. It is lovely to see how much they learn and enjoy nursery is amazing and makes my day at work
easier knowing they're having fun. They make friends and have very special bonds with the staff who are always smiling and happy. My son still talks about the girls and they ask about him from time to time as well.

Both of our children attend Acorns Whitchurch, our son since he was 10 months and daughter since she was 23 months old. The progress we’ve seen is incredible, the nursery has done a lot for their social skills and our daughter has become a lot more confident in her speech. The staff are very friendly
and I feel very comfortable knowing my children are in safe hands whilst we’re in work. They carry out a variety of different activities each day and always have paintings/baked goods/artwork to bring home. We would recommend this nursery to anyone.

Job Title: Nursery Manager Joined: 2005

Vicci has worked for Acorns since 2005 and has worked as a Nursery Manager at Acorns Aviva and Acorns Duffryn before Acorns ONS. She particularly enjoys seeing the children develop from babies to pre-schoolers and the pride of seeing them head off to school.
