Acorns Whitchurch

My son is thriving at Acorns and I'm so, so happy we chose this nursery for him. The staff are wonderful, so caring and really take the time to get to know each child and their personalities. They actively encourage and promote his development, for example with communication, potty training and social skills. We had a few "alternative" requests such as offering a vegan diet and using cloth nappies, all of which have been happily accommodated without any issues whatsoever. I can't recommend Acorns highly enough!

They are also fantastic at catering for children with different dietary needs. My child is vegan and he is never left out of anything.

We couldn't be happier with the fantastic care they provide.

Acorns Whitchurch provides a homely feel for my daughter and this is the standout feature in comparison to other nurseries from personal experience and that of friends. The environment is always clean with comfy furniture and well-prepped play areas. The food and variation of menus are excellent. Most importantly, I always feel that every staff member cares about my child and visibly other children around her. They know where she is, and how she is and interact with her excitedly. This makes me confident that it's the next best place to be home.

This is a wonderful nursery. The manager and her staff do an amazing job of looking after my daughter. She has the most wonderful time there and has developed so much since she started. I feel that she is safe and loved (I don’t worry about her at all when she is there which is priceless), but also positively challenged to take on tasks that support her development. I honestly do not have a negative thing to say about Acorns Whitchurch and have recommended the nursery to several people already.

Acorns Whitchurch really is best in class. My daughter absolutely loves (and I mean absolutely loves!) her carers, especially two in particular. She has formed exceptionally strong bonds in the short time she’s been going, which I am sure is entirely down to the way they approach her care. My son went to Acorns a few years ago and he had a very similar experience, which is the primary reason we decided on Acorns when it was time to choose a nursery for our daughter.

My daughter started in January as I have gone back to work following being a stay at home mother for 2 years. I cannot give higher praise! The staff are amazing and have made the transition so easy for me and little one. She looks forward to nursery days, has a wonderful time and her development has come on leaps and bounds already.

We receive excellent verbal and written communication from the whole staff team about their day. Most importantly I feel confident when I drop them off that they are being well looked after and are safe.

The manager is always available for advice and is extremely approachable when queries are made. 10/10 nursery and would highly recommend it to anyone.

Professional nursery ran to the highest of standards with caring, attentive and helpful staff. Offers a multitude of fun and educational activities to help with my child’s development. All dietary requirements are carefully considered and provided.

I always feel so much at ease when dropping my son off at Acorns Whitchurch. The staff treat him like one of their own and always welcome him with a big smile. My son is very happy there and I look forward to hearing about all the fun activities he’s done at the end of the day. Would fully recommend it!

I am extremely satisfied and happy with the wonderful Acorns team. I was a very anxious and tearful mother when I first sent my 9-month-old baby to Acorns. They let me stay for 1 settlement session which helped me witness the spotless nursery and the excellent care they give the children. My baby comes home cheerful and also is happy to be with them when I drop her in the morning. Some excellent points worth mentioning - clean and spotless nursery, the girls are loving and very tidy. The provision to collect my baby from inside the nursery is just amazing and satisfying. The amazing work of the kitchen staff is worth mentioning too. To summarise, I would recommend Acorns Whitchurch wholeheartedly to anyone.

We couldn't be more pleased with Acorns Whitchurch. The team are so hard-working, friendly and very caring. The kitchen team are brilliant, providing an exciting menu for the kids and happy to cater for individual needs. Our son was on a non-dairy diet and the manager offered to order in the only milk alternative he liked. Our son enjoys his nursery days it's really important knowing he's being so well looked after. The team run family visit opportunities to see the kids and put on a brilliant nativity. The nursery is always lovely and clean, the outside space is fantastic and they have great activities including visits and sports provision.

I'm a first-time parent and I was nervous about sending my son to nursery. I researched and toured a few of them and found Acorns Whitchurch to be the best one for us. I wasn't wrong because now we have been going there for almost a year and we absolutely love it. The staff are well trained and very nice people. We found our son has additional communication needs and the management and staff have been a massive help to us and our boy. They even purchase special toys and make flashcards to help my son communicate better and enjoy his days in nursery a bit more. The nursery is always spotless and the food selection is great. They have a high hygiene rating which gives me a lot of confidence in them. They truly care about the children and look out for their best interests. I will be sad to leave them when my son goes to school.

Initially, my son found the transition from childminder to nursery difficult and took a while to settle. Following unconditional positive regard from the staff he is now so happy and settled - even reaching for staff on the door to go in. I never thought we would get here! Staff are friendly and always pleased to see him as well as comforting and empathetic when he's unsettled. Their patience and kindness have made going to work in the mornings a lot easier knowing he is happy, liked and well cared for. He's greeted by a cuddle and a familiar happy face each morning and loves time in the large outdoor space. The staff are professional and communication is thorough and clear - there are regular newsletters, home learning links and an app is used to share photos. I would highly recommend this nursery.

My son has really enjoyed his two years at Acorns Nursery in Whitchurch. It has been a joy to drop him off in the mornings knowing that he is happy and content and then picking him up late afternoon, seeing his happy face, his artwork/creations that he presents me with and to hear a story or two about his day. The greetings I received from nursery staff, chef included, were always so warm and welcoming and I always got a thorough handover on pick up. Nothing seemed like too much hassle for the staff, especially time to talk if needs be. It has meant a lot to my partner and I to see our son look happy and develop into a well-balanced little 3-year-old, ready for school nursery, in this caring environment. Acorns has given our son a great start in his life journey and we shall miss bringing him here now that he is off to school nursery. Thank you Acorns, for your advice, support, caring nature, sense of fun and great food from the kitchen. I would highly recommend Acorns Nursery.

Acorns Whitchurch is absolutely fantastic! My son settled in so well here and loves going there. All of the staff are so friendly and attentive. They are all so committed and dedicated with all the children and the range of activities they do has brought our son on so much. Everyone is approachable and whilst aspects of dropping off and collecting children have changed, and only due to covid, it is not done in a cold or unfriendly way. Whoever is at the front door is always there with a welcoming smile and all the staff have so much time for you. I cannot explain how reassuring it is knowing I am leaving him in a safe, fun, and loving environment.

Acorns provide an excellent level of care for our daughter. They keep us informed every day via the app and are always keen to inform me or my husband about her day when we pick her up. They also cared for my oldest daughter and she loved attending too until she started school. We are very lucky to have such kind and caring key workers looking after our daughter and recommend the nursery highly. Thank you Acorns for all you have done for our family and continue to do for our family. Our daughter is thriving and so happy to be dropped off in the morning. It makes such a difference to us as a family, we couldn't imagine her attending anywhere else and we are incredibly grateful to you.

We are absolutely amazed by the service at Acorns Nursery Whitchurch! Our little boy loves it, which makes us very happy. The range of activities and food is fantastic. The staff are so friendly. We are absolutely thrilled with Acorns Whitchurch. As someone who was unsure about sending our child to nursery at all, we couldn’t be happier with the care our son receives, as well as the fantastic array of activities and the wonderful food menu.
