Princess of Wales Day Nursery

I recommend this nursery to all my friends, the opening hours allow me to work with flexibility and my daughter is always happy to be left.

They are always doing exciting activities or cooking. And the meals are great too, with emphasis on healthy eating.

My twins have attended the nursery since they were 19 months old and are now 3.5. During this time they have been assessed and finally formally diagnosed with ASD. I cannot thank and praise the nursery staff here enough for their exceptional patience, kindness and support to my twins throughout this whole process and their ongoing support now. The staff go out of their way to improve their understanding of my twins' complex needs and always do their best to keep them happy, settled and occupied at the nursery, which is no small task with the sometimes challenging behaviour associated with their diagnosis. This includes some menu adaptations, introducing additional sensory play and really getting to know what works for the children so they gain the most they can from their time at nursery day to day.

My son has also attended the nursery since he was 7 months old and he is now almost 2. It has been a pleasure to really see him thrive at the nursery. He is so happy and content at nursery and that is most certainly a reflection of the kindness and care he is shown by the staff. He is always learning new things and the great communication between staff and myself means I’m always told when he’s really enjoyed a particular activity so that we can do it at home too. This carries into meal times too when I’m told about new foods he’s tried and really enjoyed. It is a real pleasure to drop a child at Nursery and (excluding the odd bad day here and there) see them run off excitedly and happily wave you off without any apprehension or upset. I don’t think a parent can ask any more than that. My son is my youngest of 3 children and they all attend the nursery here. I cannot praise it highly enough. I would recommend it to anyone.

The nursery is very flexible to our family needs. ALL staff provide a warm and welcome greeting. They keep individual development books and we are regularly invited to meet with keyworkers to be provided with feedback. They provide a range of fun learning opportunities for the little ones and I would highly recommend this nursery.

Well, what can I say? The staff have been very good with both of my children. My 2-year-old attends on a regular basis and my 8-year-old attends holiday club which they both enjoy. I can not thank the staff enough for all the care they give them. The staff are also very mindful when it comes to my youngest son's milk allergy. The onsite cook will adapt a meal that contains milk and change it to a dairy free option to make my son not feel left out to what other children are eating. I feel at ease when my children are under the nursery staffs care and have no worries when they are there. Thank you very much to all the staff. xx

My son has attended the nursery from 10 months of age and is now 3. The staff have always been fantastic and extremely flexible to provide me with childcare when needed. As I can work late due to the longer opening hours than most nurseries has been invaluable. My son settled in very quickly and has always seemed to enjoy his time at the nursery. I have clearly been able to see how his social and communication skills with others has developed as a result. Cannot recommend this nursery highly enough!

Our son has attended for approximately 15 months. All the staff are caring and nurturing. Many of the staff have been there for years. The retention of staff is a testament to a good and caring team. Sincere thanks.
