We recommend this nursery so highly and feel extremely lucky to have the wonderful staff here looking after and helping raise our children.
Our daughter asks every day if she can go to the nursery and always comes home smiling, telling us of the fun things she has been up to during the day.
We,
especially, love the time the children get in the garden.

We are extremely happy with Kids 1st Hexham. Our daughter loves attending. The standards are extremely high. The facilities are excellent, and the children spend a great deal of time outside in the fresh air. Our daughter is learning a lot and the resources are excellent. We feel it is a very safe environment,
the staff are attentive, genuine and caring. The management lead by example and are a asset to the company. The facilities are clean and the food provided is well cooked, healthy and nutritious developing positive choices for future life. The chef is well known to the children and is a positive factor in encouraging our daughter to try new dishes. Thanks to the whole team for such a positive experience.

My son started nursery at three-months-old, as I had to return to work. He was the youngest and didn't have little ones at home to interact with.
The staff were and still are good at ensuring he's cuddled and has lots of adult time, as well as interacting with the other under 1's. He has developed
a wonderful rapport with staff members and developed both physically and emotionally in all areas. He is now five-months, crawling, eating meals and sitting-up supported. I believe he has copied the other children and is thriving.

I couldn't recommend this nursery enough! This is by far the best decision we have made placing our little boy into Kids 1st Hexham.
He was a very clingy 16-month boy and I worried how he would be for a full day without me. As soon as I looked around and met the lovely girls who look after, play,
teach and care for him I stopped worrying. He has settled so well and that is down to those lovely girls who are extremely professional and I couldn’t fault the care they give my son which shows as he now does not cry when I leave him! This only lasted a few weeks. He has the best busy day there and his development has leapt forward.
It’s super clean, spacious and has a fantastic garden to explore and play in.
I love picking him up and reading his diary to find out what adventures he has been up too and what delicious food/snacks he has eaten throughout the day. Every fine detail has been recorded down.
I’m so happy we made this big decision and so pleased we chose Kids 1st.

Fantastic, purpose-built, safe setting. Staff are extremely attentive to children's specific needs. Warm and friendly atmosphere, time is taken to get to know children and their families, so it is very much a home from home atmosphere. Complete peace of mind that care needs are not only met but exceeded
and I am confident that my child benefits greatly from the holistic care, learning and activities provided.

Kids 1st Hexham provides an excellent service. The staff are excellent and really know the children and they take the time to understand the children's needs and provide a high level of care and education. I would highly recommend this nursery.

I cannot speak highly enough of the staff at Kids 1st Hexham. They are amazing with my son and so incredibly kind and helpful. I love how in-depth the handovers are giving me a real opportunity to understand what my son has been doing. He loves it here.

I've always found the nursery very clean and tidy. The staff are very friendly and never too busy to help. My son always loves his time there as there's always a happy environment and plenty to keep him entertained.
His key worker is exceptional, always making sure he's OK and has plenty of attention.
I
cannot imagine him attending any other nursery. The nursery as a whole cannot get high enough praise for their efforts and attentiveness.

Eleanor Borrowdale

Job Title: Centre Director

My name is Eleanor Borrowdale I have worked in childcare all my adult life. I Qualified as a level 3 (NNEB) and then completed a degree in Childcare studies.


I have worked at Kids1st Hexham since May 22 and I have enjoyed developing rooms and promoting curiosity play and natural resources. I am a SENCO and enjoy working with outside agencies to ensure all children reach their full potential.


I am proud of the success I have achieved over the last few years, and I hope to continue with this in the future.
