Little Pioneers Nursery & Pre-School, Tavistock

I will recommend Tavistock House Day Nursery to every child because I am very well pleased with their services, my daughter has really improved since she has been attending Tavistock House Day Nursery. The staff are excellent and they put their best in teaching the kids.

So pleased I chose this nursery. My little boy has been there from 8 months old and I have always felt very comfortable leaving him with the caring and enthusiastic staff. I have never had any concerns or complaints, the nursery has a lovely atmosphere, nutritious menu and plenty of age-appropriate activities to keep the children entertained. The staff are very vigilant and proactive and communication is fantastic!!

All three of my children have attended the nursery from being 9 months old and I can't recommend the nursery enough. I wasn't sure what to expect from the nursery when my daughter first started but I needn't have worried, the staff are fantastic and are so supportive to each child. My sons took a little longer to settle so I was able to have as many visits as I wanted with them but once they did they have loved their time at the nursery. What I really like about the nursery is that the children are separated into age groups and moved up gradually once the staff feel they're ready, we are always kept up to date with our child's development and milestones. My older children both started school with no problems at all and I put this down to being in a nursery environment from an early age. It's a great nursery and gave my children a great start to their learning and development.

What a fantastic, safe, nurturing learning environment. I have used various nurseries over the last 20 years for my own children and foster children and none come close to Tavistock. I have used Tavistock nursery for the past 2 years for my own and foster children and it is the best. The activities are tailored and varied. The staff are genuinely caring and truly make every child feel special, and build attachments. The rooms are cosy and warm. The security is very good with CCTV in every room available to view in the office at any time and thumbprint entry. My daughter is 3 1/2 and is nearly reading and so enthusiastic to learn. They are flexible and understanding. The owner has time for every child that pops past his office for a chat and gets involved. I loved the snowball fights he had with the children when I was working and thought my child was missing out on a snow day. The videos on the facebook page reassured me she was very happy at nursery. What a lovely place!!

My second son would definitely be attending when he's old enough.

If I am to do this again, I will time over because my child is happy.

My two sons have attended Tavistock from the age of 7 months. We were very nervous with our first as he had only just turned 7 months, however, we didn't need to be at all. As soon as we entered the nursery we were made to feel at ease straight away. We really liked the fact that all the age groups are separate as other nurseries we saw had babies up to 2 years in the same room. When he started reception class in September, his teacher told us that he was already meeting all of the targets set up until the Easter term and it's hugely thanks to the amazing staff!

Both our boys love all the extra activities where they have instructors coming in to teach them phonics, Spanish, yoga and football. Now our youngest is due to start school in September and I can honestly say the Tavistock family will be a big miss and we can not thank them enough for what they have done for our kids! Being granted 'outstanding' by OFSTED says it all.

I would highly recommend Tavistock to anyone looking for a nursery when they return to work, it’s difficult leaving your child for the first time and I am very impressed with how staff dealt with it.

I have both of my children in this nursery, they really enjoy it. The staff is always smiling and really friendly. My children are really happy when they walk into the building. My oldest always tells me how great her day has been. They always do different activities.

My daughter has come on leaps and bounds since attending this nursery and continues to develop and constantly speaking about the nursery and how she has friends and plays on the slide. The staff are great and I attended my daughter first parent's evening and the feedback was brilliant and nothing was rushed. Highly recommended.

Outstanding nursery, I wouldn't have my children going anywhere else. They both loved it so much. The staff are very friendly and helped my children settle in very quickly. My children have learnt so much thanks to everyone at Tavistock. Definitely would recommend this nursery to anyone.

My child has attended Tavistock House day nursery since he was 18 months old. He settled very well and made great bonds with all the staff. All the staff are lovely and extremely helpful always offering hints and tips on helping my child's development increase. My child is ready to leave for reception class, I am thrilled with how well he has achieved since starting nursery. Tavistock have allowed my child to access lots of other activities including football, Spanish lessons, yoga and phonics. We have just attended a meeting with my child's new school and they are amazed at how much knowledge he has with his phonics as they don't normally see this until the child reaches the end of their 1st term. I would recommend Tavistock to anyone who would like excellent child care for their child. They do deserve their Outstanding and more that they received from Ofsted.
