Tynemouth Nursery at Billy Mill

This nursery is amazing! All 3 of my children have gone to Tynemouth nursery with our youngest currently there since September 2020. I couldn't recommend this nursery enough they are a fantastic company offering great childcare for our children. The staff are so friendly and helpful if needed and are a great bunch. They have coped very well with Covid and keeping everyone safe and well informed. Keep up the fantastic work that you do.

My daughter loves this nursery; she always has such a good time with her friends. The staff are great with her; they always tell me about what she has been up to throughout the day. They always update me on her progress on the learning book app, which I think is great. They made sure that all the guidelines were met with always wearing masks, keeping distance and always washing theirs and my daughter's hands.

Couldn’t recommend Tynemouth Nursery at Billy Mill enough. I have had two of my children attend here, one which is still there, and they have been brilliant. My daughter was very shy and anxious about starting nursery, and they made her feel comfortable and at ease. She now absolutely loves it and asks if she is going every morning. Thank you for everything you have done.

My daughter has been going to this nursery since she was one and a half years old and has just turned four.

She enjoys every day here and is eager to go each day to learn and see her friends. Each staff member is individually amazing and friendly and always go out of their way to meet your's and your child’s every need; you can tell they enjoy what they are doing.

The food is also exceptional as my daughter tells me every day as she usually has seconds.

My daughter is due to leave the nursery to start school in July, and I’ll be upset when she goes as I know how much she enjoys and has thrived being here

Great nursery, would recommend to anyone in the area. Staff are friendly and helpful, my child loves it so much and learns a lot every day. Do not have a bad word to say about the nursery in general or the staff.

I wouldn't recommend another nursery, and in past, I have used a few with my two other children.

Our little boy had just turned three when joining Tynemouth Nursery at Billy Mill. Before this, he’d only ever been in a childminder setting and even on the walk around our shy little boy felt comfortable and confident in this warm and friendly setting. He loves the staff and looks forward to seeing them after the weekend to tell them about his achievements. His eating has improved, and he is exposed to an interesting range of foods. He loves sitting with his friends and has enjoyed teaching us the ‘Please and Thank You’ song the children sing before mealtime. The nursery goes above and beyond when it comes to the activities, our recent favourite being the book they created for World Book Day in which all the children write their own story. They embrace any special day and even introduced a New Zealand day because his dad is from New Zealand. Our son absolutely loves his nursery, and we can’t recommend it enough. My son always enjoys his days at nursery. He has attended since he was eleven months old and is now in the preschool room, and I have had no issues at all during this time. The nursery has a nice, relaxed environment where my child can make himself at home. He enjoys the food at nursery as well, which is a bonus because he is a fussy eater in the house, so at least I know he is having decent meals at nursery.

I can't recommend Tynemouth Nursery at Billy Mill enough! They have been fantastic with my little girl; she has developed and thrived so much since attending nursery, and there are endless activities for her to enjoy; they really do think of everything! Every member of staff have been amazing with her, and this has allowed her to feel extremely comfortable and confident at nursery. Thank you all for being great!

On my return to work after maternity, I needed childcare for my daughter for one day a week. I was so nervous about leaving her at first, but I requested a look around the nursery and instantly felt that it was the right place for her; the setting is fantastic and caters for all of the ages of the children that attend. The nursery has a ‘homely’ feel, and the staff are fantastic. My daughter settled in within a few weeks, even though only attending once a week, she now looks forward to going each week. I love seeing all the activities she’s been doing on the social media page, as well as the learning book app where pictures and videos are uploaded for me to look at, once she has hit certain developmental steps. I love how the nursery email after every session, letting me know how her day has been. The nursery garden is also a big hit as she enjoys being outside and can now play outside with other children her age. Overall, I would recommend such a lovely nursery and great staff.

Well done to all of the staff, some nurseries just 'get it'.

My little girl started at the nursery at the end of 2019, following her brother enjoying 3 years there! Shortly after getting her settled, they had to close due to the pandemic! The contact from management was brilliant throughout, settling her in for a second time was very tough... The staff couldn’t have done more to help with this and in no time she was waving me off smiling. I wouldn’t consider another nursery, the staff are fantastic with some great long-standing members of staff and both my children have flourished at the nursery.

We would definitely recommend this nursery. My daughter has settled so well here and absolutely loves her nursery days. She has been doing a wide variety of activities and enjoys telling us what she has been up to. We have really noticed a difference in her speech and confidence since attending which we are so grateful to the staff for. The staff are all great and have been very reassuring throughout. We can’t thank them enough for all their hard work and dedication.

They eat well, so on nursery days, we only need a snack tea, which is helpful when times are busy. The facilities are great and there is an enclosed, safe, outdoor space with lots to do. Staff are friendly and kind.

Staff are absolutely fantastic, so professional, caring and observant. My son settled in after only a few visits and loved it so much we decided to add an extra day each week for him to attend. I have also seen an improvement to his delayed speech which is an amazement achievement and can not thank the staff enough for their support with this. I feel that my son is extremely well cared for whilst he is at nursery but most importantly that he is safe and happy. The manager is always happy, friendly and gives us a warm welcome on drop-offs and pickups. I feel that their approach to covid-19 has also been outstanding, making the environment and procedures feel as "normal" as possible to the children. Well done and thank you to all of the staff.

My daughter had to move to the nursery during lockdown, which was very daunting for me. The nursery made her transfer seamless and she soon settled in and is incredibly fond of the staff and children alike. We chose to stay there despite having other options available, which is a testament to the quality of the nursery and how happy I am with the care they provide. The nursery staff are very receptive to feedback and communicate frequently with us. They were fantastic when it came to potty training - I was willing to give up but they were endlessly patient and supportive. The activities that my daughter carries out are varied and stimulating and the addition of a forest school area in the garden has been very welcome. My daughter is always delighted to attend nursery in the morning and on her return home tells me that she has had a great day.

Our Son has been going to Tynemouth Nursery at Billy Mill for six months now and we couldn’t recommend it highly enough. Fantastic staff who have a real passion for the care they provide coupled with superb facilities. He started in the baby's room and has now moved up to the 18 months+ room having moved over when the North Shields setting moved to Billy Mill. The positive changes in development in our son we see now on an almost daily basis are a testament to the fun but structured activities and playtime that he gets involved in. There is fantastic feedback via an e-mail covering great detail of what he has been up to each day and on collection there is always a great update on how his day has been. The Nursery has adapted brilliantly to being COVID secure and the way the nursery remained open to Key Workers’ children during the national lockdown is a true reflection of how caring, professional and hard-working the staff are. We are so pleased with the care he receives.
