Little Pioneers Nursery & Pre-School, Newbiggin

The nursery has done so much in supporting our daughter to grow in independence and confidence. She can be a bit unsure at times, but she feels so supported at nursery, so much so it has become one of her favourite places to go.

Very good nursery - all staff are amazing, they always accommodated all my requests.

Lovely nursery with big safe garden. We chose this nursery because of rooms are big and staff always happy and helpful.

My son has thoroughly enjoyed his time at little pioneers. He has been here since he was 9 months old and we have had no issues. He has made some lovely friendships and bonds with children and staff. And has set him up emotionally for reception. Thanks so much!

Fantastic nursery with amazing staff. All three of my children have or do attend Newbiggin and they have all loved it. Great activities and extra curricular activities, lots of learning opportunities and getting ready for school. Thank you to all the staff!

Every member of staff is absolutely fantastic and caters to every individual need of the children in their care. Kitchen staff are fantastic - meals are varied and tasty (my child often has seconds so definitely enjoys!). The children get to do so many different activities and every day is different, I am kept up to date with my daughter's development using the app, also allows me to see pictures daily of what she gets up to and also gives advice on development (to do at home) and milestones! Very happy and would highly recommend!

Exceptional nursery. Office always happy to help with funding and school applications extra days etc. and nursery staff amazing with my daughter. Know her little quirks nearly as well as I do. Couldn't be happier.

This nursery is fantastic. My daughter settled in so quickly and loves the staff who look after her. Each day there is a range of activities planned and a variety of food and snacks given each day also.

My daughter loves it here. The staff are all friendly and helpful, couldn’t fault it. She’s learned loads since being here, she’ll be leaving for full-time school soon, I'd rather her stay here all the time as she loves it and the staff are lovely.

The management are very helpful and were able to help in relation to tax-free childcare and free hours.

During his 5 months at Little Pioneers he has come on leaps and bounds due to the dedication of the staff and helpers. I cannot recommend this nursery enough and really regret not moving my son earlier.

Great staff who are truly focused on children's feelings, play, learning and development. The support and communication with parents is excellent. The facility is well-equipped and allows for the safe growth of the kids.

It’s also great to pick up from inside the nursery. We have a chance to see her in the nursery environment.

My daughter has attended nursery and pre-school, starting in 2021. Although unable to visit for a tour, we had a virtual visit and the staff were so accommodating considering the COVID restrictions going on at that time. Since then, my daughter progressed through all the rooms, ending with pre-school. She took to nursery from the beginning and loved every minute. She made some good friends and absolutely loved her key worker. The team work so hard to prepare the children for school and nurture their interests. My daughter loved art and creative jobs, so her key worker would come up with ideas that she knew my daughter would enjoy. There was also many opportunities to visit nursery for Christmas fayre/summer fayre, Halloween parties and a mother's day tea over the years as well as regular parents evenings. I can't recommend this nursery highly enough. My daughter is so sad to leave, but I know she's been given the best possible start.

My experience with this preschool has been absolutely fulfilling and would recommend it to friends and family.

The nursery has done a fantastic job with my son. His speech has come on leaps and bounds and often tells us about what he has been learning e.g. Volcanos. The staff are fantastic and always give a good handover of the time at the nursery. When I have had queries the management has been excellent at providing me information or following up on invoice queries.
