Refurbished in 2020 and located conveniently right in the heart of Newcastle, Little Pioneers Nursery & Pre-School Newcastle is spacious and bright, with large rooms for each age group and a sensory room for storytime.

They are big on happy children and that's why they take care of each other and the world, have regular visits to their local care homes, and have a growing area for food. They have 5 little pioneers who help share their core values with the children, from making their own choices to encouraging them to be independent.

The nursery is silver eco schools accredited, a programme that sees children lead the way in making real environmental differences. Their staff are also all paediatric first aid trained as they are big on safety.

They also have an app, ParentZone, which keeps mums and dads informed about life at nursery, from photos, meals eaten and even toilet training progress!

There are four home rooms with the nursery split into the following age groups: three months to one-year-olds, one to two-year-olds, two to three-year-olds and three to five-year-olds.

I have used the nursery since my son was 5 months old. All the nursery staff are very professional and friendly. My son (2 years and 8 months) really enjoys coming to nursery and has lots of friends. The facilities are excellent - he likes the sensory room and the large atrium. I receive daily updates
on the activities he's done, how much he's eaten (the food is healthy and he enjoys the meals), sleep etc. The nursery takes safety very seriously. I have recommended it to friends and colleagues.

We had recently moved to Newcastle and were pleased to have found a place in this 'outstanding' nursery. Our daughter to our surprise quickly settled in and that put us as parents at ease. Over the past 5 months that she has been a part of the nursery - she has grown immensely in confidence and absolutely
adores all the staff members. I have found in many instances where they have gone out of their way to care and nurture her. I now can be at work and not worry about her as I knew she is safe, happy and very well taken care of.

I think that this is a fantastic nursery. My daughter has so much fun and has come on leaps and bounds in all aspects of her development. All the staff are happy and friendly and are great at explaining what my daughter has done during the day.
I wouldn't want her to go anywhere else.

Excellent nursery, my daughter loves coming here every day. They have really big rooms so plenty of space for the children. The key workers form strong bonds with the children.
Excellent compared to some of the other nurseries my children have been to in Newcastle I would highly recommend.

My son has attended co-operative childcare Newcastle since he was 9 months old. He's recently just moved up to his third class and loves every second. The staff are amazing and go above and beyond to encourage development and provide an excellent environment for the children. I often recommend this
nursery and love hearing other mums experience the same feelings we do about it! Makes a huge difference not having to worry about how your child is getting on - and if you do, they're only ever a phone call away.

Beginning nursery seemed like a daunting milestone for our family but our son has enjoyed it from day one. Staff have always been caring, positive, and supportive, helping him to learn and develop in a structured but fun way. He has benefitted from a great carer-child ratio with regular and detailed
communication, particularly in the first few months, helping to ensure good join-up between his life at nursery and at home. As well as developing his individual skills the nursery offers the opportunity to play with other children, which has helped to build confidence and enhance social abilities. The opening hours provided by the nursery are very flexible enabling a balanced fit with full-time work schedules. Our eighteen-month-old is keen to begin nursery when dropping off and happy at the end of each day when he's collected; a great indication to us of an excellent fit between him, his needs and the care provided.

Simply excellent nursery.
good systems and kind staff allow me to fully trust them with my son.
In addition, the learning environment is creative and stretching both in academic and life skills.
This is complimented by a clear understanding of acceptable boundaries that my son gets.

The main reason to recommend The Co-operative Childcare Newcastle Nursery is their staff. The nursery teachers/nurses are the most caring, dedicated and reliable people I have ever met. To be honest, I cannot believe how little they are paid.

Our son has been at this nursery for 7 months and he is thriving here. The staff are kind, thoughtful and nurturing and endlessly patient, with us as well as our boy. Everyone is friendly and welcoming and we always feel as though our son is in the best care. There are clear boundaries set and it is
good to see how careful staff are to note development and milestones and share little nuggets of their days with us. We're impressed with the range of activities provided to keep the children interested and stimulated and plenty of thought goes into their days. They strike a fantastic balance of relaxed and friendly with great professionalism. More than anything, they seem to genuinely care about every aspect of our son's life. Combine all that with the most convenient location possible and we are very happy parents.

Lovely, caring staff. Plenty of activities and trips out, good facilities, except for lacking in outdoor space which is compensated for with an atrium to run around in and trips out to local museums, parks and railway station. A very happy and stimulating environment. My child loves it and doesn't want
to come away each evening, which demonstrates how much he loves it.

My son has come on brilliantly during his time in nursery, 9 months - 2 years and 4 months, he's learnt a lot . My son has always had a great relationship with all his key workers. All staff here I've found to be very attentive. I would highly recommend Co-op childcare.

I cannot praise the nursery enough. My daughter has come on so much since attending. The staff are very friendly and are always happy to help. My daughters key worker makes her extremely happy to the pint she does not want to leave.

My son has been here over a year now, had nothing but excellent service and staff are brilliant with my son. He's some on such a treat. I would recommend this nursery to everyone, my son is always happy when he comes home.

From the moment I looked around the nursery I knew it was right for my daughter and I've never been disappointed by the friendly staff. One of the things that appealed to me was the huge rooms and open spaces. I've been delighted by the staff and the special bonds they form with their key children.
They succeeded in getting my daughter to sleep in a cot which I never achieved. My daughter settled from day one and loves her nursery.
