Refurbished in 2020 and located conveniently right in the heart of Newcastle, Little Pioneers Nursery & Pre-School Newcastle is spacious and bright, with large rooms for each age group and a sensory room for storytime.

They are big on happy children and that's why they take care of each other and the world, have regular visits to their local care homes, and have a growing area for food. They have 5 little pioneers who help share their core values with the children, from making their own choices to encouraging them to be independent.

The nursery is silver eco schools accredited, a programme that sees children lead the way in making real environmental differences. Their staff are also all paediatric first aid trained as they are big on safety.

They also have an app, ParentZone, which keeps mums and dads informed about life at nursery, from photos, meals eaten and even toilet training progress!

There are four home rooms with the nursery split into the following age groups: three months to one-year-olds, one to two-year-olds, two to three-year-olds and three to five-year-olds.

I have been amazed both at the communication we get from the nursery each day as well as the progress our little one is showing on all fronts.

Amazing nursery and staff! I moved my little one from another nursery and had such a bad experience with them!


The staff at Newcastle Little Pioneers have been so understanding about my son being behind and having challenging behaviour but instead of making me feel like he was always getting things

wrong like in the last nursery, they have been lovely and made me feel so at ease when dropping and picking him up, all my anxiety about leaving him in someone else’s care have been completely been removed since the first day of moving him!

My little girl goes to this lovely nursery part-time and she had settled in so well. The team at the nursery is wonderful everyone you meet is lovely with the kids and takes time to say hi and talk to you about your child’s day at the nursery. I was so nervous for my girl to start nursery but from the
first day of her attending, I was already reassured that she would be looked after well. The updates from the app are priceless and allows you to stay connected to what your child is doing during her time at nursery. I love that they are honest about what she eats and tell me when she has not liked particular foods. One of the managers I have met often when dropping my daughter is lovely with her and very present in the day to day running of the nursery which is a positive thing. I am happy that my child is observed and anything that needs improving for her benefit is picked up and a plan put in place to support her, although it's not a small setting it has a wonderful family feel.

Fantastic nursery, the staff are very pleasant and caring and my son loves attending there. His behaviour has improved massively since he first started and he seems to have a genuine bond with certain members of staff. The nursery also caters well to his food allergies and it's nice to not have to worry.

My daughter had a great time and beautiful memories. All teachers and support staff are brilliant. They all are loving, compassionate and trained professionals.

My little boy loves coming to nursery. It has helped build his confidence and can see huge development every week with nursery being a big contribution to this.
All the staff are fabulous, especially his key worker. They always have different activities going on to help celebrate the events happening
throughout the year. Would definitely recommend.

My daughter has been going to this nursery since she was 10 months old and absolutely loves it. She is now at pre school level. I believe this nursery has helped bring her on in so many ways. The staff are friendly and I can see they care so much about the children.

My son attends Co-op Childcare Newcastle (Little Learners) two days per week and has a fantastic time. Although he sometimes struggles with being away from home, the staff do an excellent job of catering to his needs and interests, as well as encouraging him to try new things and socialise with others.
The food is prepared in-house and is fantastic quality, while the facilities are cleaned to a very high standard. The nursery is extremely convenient to those working in Newcastle city centre. I would be happy to recommend it to anyone based on my experiences.

I would absolutely recommend this nursery to anyone! It’s absolutely amazing, the staff are incredible and everything about it is fantastic! Amazing staff supportive and nurturing, I feel my son has the best start at this nursery!

The nursery and staff are amazing. My daughter is 2 and has been here since she was 6 months old. She loves it! There are always exciting activities to do (like messy play to save me from doing this at home) and the garden is a lovely area to get some fresh air. The staff go over and beyond to make
sure my daughter is well cared for. The office, cleaning and cooking staff are also brilliant. I can’t rate this nursery enough - they are first class!

An excellent nursery and I wouldn't send my girls anywhere else. The staff are fantastic, they keep each child's needs and development at the heart of their practice and work alongside them to support them through their different stages of development. I have used the nursery for 3 and a half years
and the quality of care is still as it was when my girls first started.
