Refurbished in 2020 and located conveniently right in the heart of Newcastle, Little Pioneers Nursery & Pre-School Newcastle is spacious and bright, with large rooms for each age group and a sensory room for storytime.

They are big on happy children and that's why they take care of each other and the world, have regular visits to their local care homes, and have a growing area for food. They have 5 little pioneers who help share their core values with the children, from making their own choices to encouraging them to be independent.

The nursery is silver eco schools accredited, a programme that sees children lead the way in making real environmental differences. Their staff are also all paediatric first aid trained as they are big on safety.

They also have an app, ParentZone, which keeps mums and dads informed about life at nursery, from photos, meals eaten and even toilet training progress!

There are four home rooms with the nursery split into the following age groups: three months to one-year-olds, one to two-year-olds, two to three-year-olds and three to five-year-olds.

Our son has been at Little Pioneers Nursery & Pre-School for two years now. The care has been consistently excellent and he loves his nursery days. They provide good quality activities, nourishing varied food and we get the impression they enjoy and nurture our child with authenticity and care. It is

Little Pioneers Nursery & Pre-School, Newcastle is easy to reach by bus, train and metro has great security for your little ones. The staff and management are friendly and informative they keep you up to date with everything that is happening in the nursery and the activity's the children are doing
every day. My Granddaughter has come on leaps and bounds with her speech and her vocabulary is getting better each week. If your child has special dietary needs they cater for everything, my Granddaughter has made lots of friends in the nursery and love's going each week I can't recommend it highly enough. 10/10

The positivity, openness and care that all the staff show is exemplary and our daughter absolutely loves her time at nursery. They have faced significant IT challenges recently, but at every step staff have been extremely diligent in keeping us informed. There is a constant variety of activities for
the children and no day is the same as the last. The nursery has a fantastic outside space and the children are out there whenever possible, which is fantastic. Overall, what the nursery has to offer combined with the care and professionalism of the staff has been absolutely amazing.

The minute we walked into the building and nursery, we felt real at ease. The staff and facilities were excellent. Not only were they extremely friendly but also very professional with in depth knowledge and feed backs.
The dedication I've witnessed from all of them are second to none and our daughter
has already fitted in well with no issues.

Little Pioneers Nursery & Pre-School, Newcastle is a fantastic nursery. I have complete confidence leaving our toddler there each day knowing he is safe and enjoying himself.
The staff are fantastic and really make it. They all seem to know the children really well, they are kind, caring and motivated.

little one learns so much while he is there and is exploding with excitement to tell me bits about his day at pick up.

Little Pioneers is an absolutely wonderful nursery.
The facilities for the children are varied and of a high standard. From learning to playing and everything in between.
The staff are very caring and helpful. They give very detailed reports when picking up our child at the end of each day.
Our daughter
absolutely loves the nursery and all the staff there. We have seen the effects it has had on her and she is developing nicely from being at the nursery.
I would highly recommend this wonderful place to anyone.

My daughter absolutely loves going to this nursery. The staff are friendly, she's very well looked after and is increasing in skills and confidence every day! We get daily updates on what she's been doing and the staff obviously really care about each child. There's a lovely atmosphere in each room

The nursery staff have been really supportive with my child's developmental needs.
My child enjoys the different activities.
The nursery has children from diverse ethnic backgrounds, so my child gets exposed to mixed cultures. He is also encouraged to talk about his own culture and family back home

My little boy started with Little Pioneers when he was 2.5 and he’s just turned 4. I scoured all nurseries for the right one and even trialled some but Little Pioneers was the nursery for us. Many staff have been there for years - a sign they’re happy and content and it really shows in how they look
after my boy. It’s a great place of fun, education and care and we couldn’t wish for a better place for our boy to start his learning. It was a rough ride when he first started as he had separation anxiety but the staff were gentle with him and me and now he skips in. I also love the diversity - there are a huge range of kids with different needs, cultures and personalities and the aggregate of that is an inclusive culture that has set up my boy for school. My little boy leaves nursery soon for school but I can honestly say he has built behaviours, friendships and knowledge that have prepared him so well for his next step.

Throughout her time at Little Pioneers my daughter has developed so much! From her use of speech to her understanding of routines, she has learned so much and from such a lovely group or staff! This is a fantastic nursery! My son loves coming to his preschool every day and the staff and teachers are all amazing. This nursery truly offers a caring and supportive environment. I feel confident that my son is safe and well looked after. Little Pioneers are also accommodating towards special needs
and they have really gone above and beyond for our toddler, who was recently diagnosed with type one diabetes. The support and assistance the staff have offered to us in dealing with his daily diabetes care has been incredible. It's not been easy for them or us, but I cannot thank the staff enough for all their patience, help and support.

Absolutely love this nursery. My child is thriving and it’s all thanks to this fantastic nursery and the lovely staff. You can tell that the staff truly care about the children that they care for and they go above and beyond to make sure that both children (and parents!) are comfortable. As a first
time mum I was very anxious to have my child at nursery however the staff always update me on how he is doing throughout the day and they have done wonders in terms of aiding his development. My son can’t get in the door quick enough each morning! Highly recommend.

We are overall very happy with the kind of services provided by the nursery. However, I was wondering if you find below two points to be considered or not!
1. If a regular fire drill is necessary to make familiar the kids with the fire alarm and evacuation process during emergency escape.
2. If a
regular health check-up by any professional would be required or not!

Thank you for your review. We have a monthly fire drill where the children evacuate the building and every Thursday at 10 am the alarm sounds, where the children practice lining up.
We regularly have health care professionals visit the setting where it has been communicated there is a need for it.
