Bright Horizons Hull Kingswood Day Nursery and Preschool

My little boy has attended the nursery for over two years now. I have watched him grow so much in confidence, which is due to being a lockdown baby. He really struggled with being away from me. His talking is amazing and he has learnt so much, as well as having fun too. Always happy when I drop him off and pick him up. The girls in the nursery room are a credit and I can tell they really look after my little boy while he is in their care. I couldn't ask for anymore.

Fantastic quality of staff, food and learning strategies. They pay great attention to detail and are on top of cleanliness, manners and enforcing polite behaviour in a calming and safe environment. Children are well looked after and nurtured individually.

My son has attended the nursery for over a year now and he absolutely loves it! His social skills, knowledge and vocabulary have skyrocketed since he has been there. Thanks to all the staff for making his time there enjoyable and helping him on his way to becoming an independent, knowledgeable young boy.

My child loves coming to this nursery. He has formed many friendships and has always settled well into into his rooms and formed really positive relationships with his key workers. Most of the staff are friendly, approachable and communicate well with myself and my husband at the end of the day. My only criticism, is since moving onto the Bright Horizon's app, daily activities my son takes part in, are not recorded or shared with us, so I often don’t know what he has done. When this was done on paper, his daily activities were written down clearly and this seems to have dropped off on the app. When activities are shared on the app and social media, they look exciting and engaging, but often I am unsure of what my little boy has been up to, as these are becoming less and less. It would be great if staff could share what children have been doing more often on the app, with photographs too. Also, the queuing system for dropping off and picking up needs addressing, especially during peak times.

My daughter has been coming here for around nine months now and absolutely loves it. Effectively she’s an only child (big age gap), so she gets the socialisation she needs and it’s helped her development considerably. She started during the pandemic and the nursery have been faultless in their handling of the situation and ensuring the safety of the staff and children. My only complaint could be that parents are not allowed into the nursery. I’m not sure if this is a covid related change, but I would love to be able to see my daughter in the nursery setting upon collection. This would also speed up the process to aid the key workers. Would be happy to leave my daughter here until she starts school.

All three of my children have/do love attending here, always come out happy too and talk about their days. The staff are amazing, always welcoming, friendly and approachable, should there be any queries. I highly recommend to anyone looking for a 5-star childcare provider within the area.

My daughter has been going for over a year now and she loves it. The staff are great and very helpful but also listen and ask if there's anything they need to know that could help your child while being in their care as every child is different and learn on different levels. I also like the fact that they ring you on parents evening and ask if there's anything you can think of as a learning topic they can use in the classroom. My daughter loved her last year carers and hope that she's the same this year.

My son absolutely loves his 2 days a week at the nursery and always comes home with a big smile on his face and wanting to tell us about his day (the best a 20-month-old can!) Regularly brings home art or craft work which clearly really stimulates him. He is always really excited to go and see his new friends and all of those involved in looking after him.

The staff are friendly, welcoming and have good relationships with our children. Always asking how they are at drop off and give feedback at pick up. Genuinely care and are happy to help and talk to you if you have any concerns or questions. My only negative comment would be the garden floor is really dirty due to tarmac. I would never put my child in their best trainers or clothes as they generally come back black!

She loves going to nursery and playing with her friends and when we pick her up, she's always excited to tell us about her day. We couldn't ask for any more than that.

My son has become very confident since attending nursery. He is extremely happy to attend and has a lot to share once back at home. He enjoys playing building blocks and outside in the garden with his friends. He loves singing nursery rhymes. Happy child, happy parent! Thank you.

My 2.5-year-old son has settled here so well, despite starting during the current covid situation. He's excited to go to the nursery and runs out very happy when I collect him. I could not have wished for a better result. The staff are very proactive and have been very supportive and onboard whilst we were doing the potty training stage. The staff are truly amazing with all the different activities and learning skills they teach my son and he really has developed.

Very pleased with this nursery, our son literally can’t wait to go to nursery he runs in with excitement. The staff have been superb with him and made him enjoy his time so much. He has learnt so much even at such a young age which shows the level of interaction the staff have with him. Would definitely recommend this nursery.

Both I and my wife have been very impressed with the way the nursery operates, how they communicate with you and the quality of the care, which has been very impressive especially in light of the very trying circumstances with COVID.

My daughter has been going to this nursery since she was 10 months old (now 28 months). She loves it and settled so well. All of the staff are lovely, very approachable and genuinely care for all of the children there. It’s a lovely setting and they always do plenty of different activities throughout the day. I can tell how much my daughter develops each time she attends nursery. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a nursery in the area.

We have used this nursery for over 5-years now; my daughter went there before leaving for primary school, our son now attends the nursery. Very accommodating in all aspects. Our nursery pattern always changes because of my wife's works shifts. All staff are friendly and welcoming. A well-managed nursery. Would recommend to anyone that asks.

The nursery and its staff are fantastic. Our child has settled really well and loves attending. She has formed good relationships with the staff in her room who are brilliant with her. Since starting at the nursery, she has developed very well and we have noticed changes in her abilities while at home. I would recommend this nursery to any parent looking for outstanding childcare.

My little boy started in the baby room in October 2019. He really loves nursery and has done from day 1. We were really worried as he only does 1 morning and thought he may struggle to settle but the girls have made sure we are welcomed into the nursery however little time our child spends there. We have a two-year-old in this nursery currently and our older daughter has also been through this nursery. Both our girls have been at the nursery from age six months so we are able to give a comprehensive review of the nursery service from the baby room through to pre-school. We find the staff trustworthy, personable and caring. They are able to very quickly forge a bond with the children and engage them with wide-ranging activities daily, providing good opportunities for learning and development.
