Bright Horizons Millhouses Day Nursery and Preschool

Our child started at this nursery at 7 months old. We were impressed from the start by the helpful and very able staff. We were contacted by telephone by our key worker and our inevitable concerns were allayed. The staff have continued to be a delight. They are committed to each of the children in their care and have a real passion for their work. I have found this to be so encouraging and I can have real confidence that our child is safe and well cared for in their hands. The Baby Room has an excellent team ethos. If the key worker is not available another member of staff has a real knowledge as to how the day has gone. Having the flexibility of being able to drop off / collect at any time during opening provides a real support for unexpected work requirements. The variety of food is excellent and knowing that everything is included in the price is a relief in the morning rush. Don't hesitate to book your baby in at this nursery.

I couldn't have been happier leaving my precious first baby in the care and hands of the staff in the baby room. They made the settling in period so positive for me and my little girl! No matter how many times I called to check on her ALL staff were so friendly, reassuring and helpful and made leaving her so much easier. Every mother worries about leaving her baby in the care of new people but I really can't thank the staff enough for all their individual care and personal understanding of my babies needs ... I really believe they take the time and effort to understand each babies personality and have offered guidance and support with issues I have raised with feeding etc at home! What more could you ask for! I look forward to watching my daughter grow and learn new skills in this supportive caring environment. Thanks so much Millhouses staff x

Our daughter has attended the nursery since March this year. I have always felt that we are leaving our daughter with friends. She cuddles the staff on arrival and sometimes when leaving. There are always two staff members present but I have seen four and five when it is not lunch hour. They take the time to tell you what your child has done, and provide written information.

The activities are planned and varied. Although our daughter has two key workers, all the staff know each child and are happy to discuss them with you. The staff are a friendly smiley bunch and the kids seem to really enjoy being with them. The only negative side is not the staff, but the billing. We lose out because our daughter attends on Mondays, and most bank holidays fall on Mondays, but the nursery is closed, but you still have to pay for this.

Having said that I would still recommend this nursery to anyone.

Bright Horizons Millhouses is an excellent nursery and pre-school. We have a 13-month boy in Babies and a 4.5-year-old girl about to leave for school. The team at Millhouses have helped nurture our daughter from 10 months and their contribution to the sociable, confident, polite, intelligent girl she is can't be overstated.

I've never known the manager and her team to be anything other than enthusiastic, helpful and friendly and from day 1 I had no problem with leaving my daughter (and now my son) with them. Facilities are excellent, food great and the activities are always interesting and extremely well planned and executed. The staff put extra time in to add to the kid's experience which shows just how much they care.

I am looking forward to going through the journey through the rooms at Millhouses Day Nursery and Preschool with my son - and fully confident that he'll enjoy every minute.

This nursery is just brilliant, they accommodate to each child needs and demands. All the activities are so well thought through that you can really see the impact in the child’s development. As parents, we feel lucky that our child attends this nursery.

I'm incredibly impressed with how well each day is planned by the staff and how this allows my daughter to play and learn with the other children. She enjoys nursery so much she doesn't want to come home!

From my initial visit to this nursery, I have not been disappointed. The facilities are very good, the staff are very friendly and helpful. My little one's developments are met every day and he has a good attachment with his main carer. All the things that are important to me as a mum seemed to be catered for.

My eldest child was at Bright Horizons Millhouses from 2010-2014 and my youngest started in 2014. I was impressed from the minute I was shown around back in 2010 and my views have not changed over the past six years. There is honestly nothing I can fault. It's always clean, the facilities are fantastic. The displays on the walls are always impressive and inspiring. But for me, the best thing about Bright Horizons Millhouses is the staff and the atmosphere of the nursery.

The turnover of staff is incredibly low which speaks volumes about the happy atmosphere and staff morale. I have always found every single member of staff to be warm, friendly and caring towards my children and the kids absolutely love the staff. I am so, so pleased that my children have been lucky enough to spend their early years at this nursery and I'll be very sad when my youngest moves up to school next year. I can't thank Bright Horizons Millhouses enough for the start in life that they have given my children.

A nursery with professional, caring staff who take a genuine interest in the wellbeing and development of our child. They do a good job of keeping parents informed of what's happening at the nursery generally, and how one's child is getting on.

The nursery is so well run and all staff we have ever been in contact with have been fantastic.

We have our second child at this nursery who is in the babies room. Our first spent ages 3 to 5. The staff are fantastic, very caring, kind and attentive to the child's needs. The venue is clean, safe and has excellent facilities. The outdoor space, while small, is used well by all ages. Food is fantastic it is evident thought has been made for nutritionally balanced meals. The centre manager is very accommodating and it is evident the entire staff work well together. We are especially happy with knowing that the lady, who has worked with our daughter previously, is now currently looking after our baby boy. Overall would thoroughly recommend this nursery. Price wise is up there - but you pay for what you get and we will continue to use Bright Horizons - Millhouses.

The staff at the babies section are truly amazing! It's not just a matter of holding our child whilst we're away at work but they go out of their way and do that extra mile to help in our baby's development. They are so patient, listen to what we have to say and provide us with feedback on a daily basis. Since our baby started attending the nursery she is grasping and eating finger food by herself and interacting more with other children. Although in the beginning, it was heartbreaking to separate ourselves from her, we are glad to know that she's in safe hands and enjoying herself.

My daughter goes to toddler group and the staff out there are excellent and very approachable. My daughter had various allergies and food restrictions, the moment I mentioned it, they had no second thought but agreed to it straight away and started to implement it. I am very pleased with the care and support that I get for my child and I would certainly recommend Bright Horizons to others.

I have nothing but praise for the nursery - from day 1 they have been fabulous in all regards, and what's more have continued each year to evolve, improve and better the care they offer my sons. Their creativity and enthusiasm is relentless, their patience continuous....I cannot thank you all enough. :)

When entering the nursery it has a friendly and welcoming atmosphere, we have had great key workers in both rooms he has been in, he loves babies two. All the staff make a effort to get to know him and he has formed strong bonds with adult which make drop of time easier (with no tears!) we get great feed back at home time. I have nothing but praise for management and staff.

My children have been going to this nursery for over 6 years, starting in the baby room and progressing through to preschool, and I am still so happy sending my little boy there. The staff are friendly and supportive and all seem to know the children even if they are not based in that particular room. My little boy has been in the preschool room for almost a year now and collectively they have been fantastic. Initially helping and supporting potty training and fussy eating, and now noticeably concentrating more on the preschool aspects such as numbers and letters, phonics and mark making/writing. My little boy has progressed amazingly over the last year both socially and physically and loves going to preschool. I would, and have recommended the nursery and would again.

My son has been attending this nursery for a while now and over the last month, the work that his key person has put into his development is phenomenal. He is close to being fully potty trained and his speech has come on in leaps and bounds. I can not thank them enough. Highly recommend this nursery and especially the toddler room.

My child loves every bit of the nursery especially those lovely staff. She really enjoys her time in the nursery and even wanted to live there. I am very happy to leave my child in the care of Bright Horizons Millhouses although this is not the nearest nursery from home.

Absolutely excellent standard of care. The workers are always friendly and provide good feedback on how my son is doing. He loves the food and based on the menu's he eats better than I do. He loves his time at nursery and he seems to be learning a lot.
