Bright Horizons Millhouses Day Nursery and Preschool

Each week he is excited to get to the nursery, loving seeing and feeding the fish on his way in a morning. So good knowing he's happy and settled now, can't thank the ladies enough.

I am delighted with this nursery. I am fully informed about what my child had done with their day. What their mood had been like. What they have eaten and how much. My child has come on in confidence and in their skills since joining this nursery. We have been assigned a key worker who is very pleasant and very approachable and adaptable to anything new we wish to introduce for our child. We only wish that our little one didn't get ill so many times but understand that this is part of the course.

I can't talk highly enough of this nursery. I am very happy to leave my children in the care of the lovely people that work at Bright Horizons Millhouses Day Nursery and Preschool. My children love it and have come on leaps and bounds since they started there. They use some very innovative play/educational techniques but also the old faithful singing and story reading. I would be happy to recommend Bright Horizons Millhouses Day Nursery and Preschool to family/friends.

Our 15-month old son attends Bright Horizons in Connecticut, USA. My husband and I travelled to England as my Father-in-law was ill and required an operation. This being last minute, I had to work remotely as well. Bright Horizons Millhouses were able to accept our son into their program without any issues. They were warm and welcoming to our family. Their program was enriching to our son's development and their facilities were great. Our son loved being able to play outdoors with their bikes and balls. He painted a picture for us, played at the sand table, with the puppets and the toy animals. When we would arrive to pick him up, he was eager to take us around his classroom which showed that he was happy there. Bright Horizons Millhouses really provided a family solution at a difficult time. We will miss their lovely, attentive staff and are grateful that they were there for us during our time of need.

What is such an emotional time, the Millhouses team has made our journey so smooth and we're happy we chose to place our son here.

I can't thank the ladies in the baby room (especially our key worker) enough. Leaving our 6-month-old for three days a week was always going to be hard but made much more bearable knowing he was to be so well cared for. The team have supported us with the transition of breast feeding to bottle feeding and the introduction of food. The positive progress we have seen within a few weeks of being at the nursery is amazing, he continues to smile and show off all his new skills on a daily basis. Seeing the smile on our son's face says it all; he's happy, he's learning and he's being cared for. Thank you to the dedicated and talented baby room team you're fabulous!

Both my children have attended this nursery with my son starting from 10 months old. They have both really enjoyed their time there and the staff were all really fabulous. I decided to keep them in his nursery to do their pre-school as it was familiar to them and I'm glad I did. The pre-school team really prepared both of them for school which made the transition a lot easier. I would highly recommend this nursery.

After visiting a number of nurseries, when our eldest son was a baby it was clear very quickly that Millhouses was perfect. It is bright, clean, calm and the staff are all so helpful, hardworking and caring. He has had a brilliant four years and was very sad to say goodbye to pre-school and his key worker this September. Pre-school is so friendly, well organised and fun, he always wanted to go to nursery in the morning and often wanted to stay with his friends when we went to pick him up! Our youngest is now in babies and the quality of care here is excellent too, I have been really impressed with how they have helped him settle in and the attention he receives.

Excellent nursery and very friendly - always have plenty of time for you. All staff genuinely seem to care about your child and often think of different ways to engage the children and assist with their development. They are very keen to gather information from home to track development and are keen on working with parents to constantly improve the service and meet the child's potential.

The staff were amazingly supportive and worked with me as a parent to do what was right for my son and help with any needs he may have. It's not easy putting trust in people to look after your child but I couldn't have asked for more. My son has developed so much which gave me confidence when he started school.

It is the wonderful staff at the nursery that make it, their care and dedication to each child is outstanding. The children are excited to attend and look forward to the broad range of activities offered each day. There is always a good story at the end of the day about something fun that they've done. All of our children have attended this nursery from the age of 1 to school age and we feel that it has given them a super start in life.

My daughter and son have both attended the nursery from babies through to pre-school. I couldn't have asked for more. Absolutely lovely staff that have helped both my children develop into confident happy children, ready for their next adventure at school. Thank you for all your hard work.

Our daughter started at Millhouses Bright Horizons when she was one. She's now three and a half so we have experienced each of the three rooms/stages available at the nursery: babies, toddlers and pre-school. We were impressed from the beginning (despite the nursery's location, which we think is the only thing that lets it down), particularly with the quality of staff and the very personal care they provide to the whole family. We have recommended the nursery to two friends who now also have their children in the nursery. Our daughter is now in preschool and has a very close bond with several members of staff in the room, and is thriving. We will be very sad when it's time for her to go to school next year!

Our eldest two have now graduated from preschool at Bright Horizons Millhouses and our youngest is in toddlers. All three have been extremely happy and were so pleased with the special care from all the amazing staff.

Children always have varied activities and lots of craft and sensory play. They were both kept entertained and engaged at preschool - when it's harder to keep a 4 year old occupied! - and never wanted to leave! There is some wonderful staff here that truly look after your children.

I would definitely recommend to anyone, I wouldn't hesitate. My daughter left, ready and prepared for school.

Both my children have attended the Millhouses Kids Unlimited nursery (now Bright Horizons) and I have been really impressed by the care that has been shown toward my children. The staff work extremely hard and I have always felt very secure that my children are happy and safe at this nursery. The facilities are very good and the meals provided for the children are excellent.

We are very impressed by the nursery. The staff are amazing and go above and beyond to care for the children. Our little boy loves going and talks about his key worker constantly. The food is fabulous and our little boy regularly has seconds! A great place to send your little one!

Even though he's a monkey in a morning at drop off, seeing him running round in an evening not wanting to come home, makes it all worthwhile.

I would just like to thank all the staff at KU Millhouses and particularly the Toddlers team for helping my daughter settle in so well. Before we started the settling in period I met with the nursery manager and expressed my concerns about how my daughter would settle based on her previous experiences of childcare. They listened and put in place a lovely personalised booklet that my daughter could use at home to talk about the new nursery, her key person and the facilities there. We have had nothing but great experiences with KU Millhouses - it is a joy to see my daughter having a great day at nursery, coming home with lots of art work, being invited to Mother's day tea and all the communications between nursery and home. It has made us all so happy that the change has been so positive and well supported. The resources, cleanliness and whole experience has been 100% - and what really makes the difference is the fantastic welcome from a happy, knowledgeable team. Thank you!
