Partou Hilltops Day Nursery & Pre-school in Chorley provides exceptional care and education for babies and children up to the age of five. Based in a beautiful Georgian property, the setting has an acre of outdoor space where children are encouraged to play every day.

Children at Hilltops enjoy a range of exciting learning activities. The team supports children in their development and helps to prepare them for school, involving parents by providing access to an online learning journal.

The experienced and qualified team at Hilltops holds paediatric first aid certificates and safeguarding training and many are qualified to Level 3 or above. All team members have undergone enhanced DBS checks and the nursery's CCTV and secure key fob door entry system provides added security and peace of mind.

The nursery offers funded childcare places to eligible families, and fees include milk, nappies, wipes, sun cream and healthy meals and snacks from the nursery menu.

My son has attended this nursery since he was about 8 months old and prior to that my stepson attended from age 1 until he started school in 2017. Throughout my experience of this nursery (5 years), I have always had the highest praise for the facilities, environment but most of all the staff.
My
son has just transitioned to the next room (toddlers) and the team have made it comfortable it has been a really successful transition (for him and me)!
In my opinion, under the more recently appointed Management, I believe the nursery has gone from strength to strength and I believe this will continue. Having the confidence to leave your children with people who you don’t know is quite daunting but throughout my whole experience, I have felt well informed and completely at ease that my son is being cared for by people who are kind, patient and highly qualified.
The activities they do with the kids are enjoyable, stimulating and the food they provide is absolutely brilliant.

We have been so happy with the care that all the staff at The Hollies have given our daughter. She has been going to The Hollies since being around 10 months old (now 2 and a half) and we have always felt as though her needs are put first. She has grown and developed so much with the lovely staff and
is always happy to tell us about her fun day. It’s important for us to feel happy and safe leaving our daughter there. We would highly recommend.

Our daughter is really happy at nursery. She has lots of friends who she tells us about. The staff are very friendly and approachable. My daughter seems to do lots of activities when here and enjoys them very much.

My daughter attends The Hollies full time and absolutely loves it. The staff are welcoming and friendly and always have time to speak about my daughter's progress, how her day has been and reassure me if I have any concerns. She has made so much progress in all areas, communicating well and every day
comes home with a new experience. The nursery keep the children safe and are very conscientious if the child has had an accident. My daughter loves the staff and has made excellent friendships too. I can't recommend The Hollies enough. Thank you.

Since my daughter joined The Hollies she has developed many more skills. All the girls are amazing. Always so welcoming and happy to see the children. The menu and food is lovely and varied, this gives her a great taste in food. I would highly recommend the nursery to all family and friends. Give the
girls a staff room - not a cabin in the cold!

My daughter has developed massively since she started nursery and could barely stand alone. She has become more content and confident within herself and around other children. She loves her time at Nursery and is always full of smiles. It's a pleasure to see her grow and play with children and staff

I am very happy with Hollies, the staff are wonderful. Nothing is too much trouble. They have helped my daughter settle in and she loves coming and has made lots of friends. It has really helped bring on her talking and socialising with children. The staff always keep me informed about her sessions
and what new things she's trying etc. Would recommend to anyone, it's an amazing nursery with excellent and friendly staff.

The Hollies is an amazing nursery with beautiful surroundings. All the staff and management are fantastic the whole nursery has a warm and friendly feel, they couldn't do any more to make you feel welcome.
My son has been going for the last year and has flourished with the care that he is given, he
loves that he goes swimming and that they have animals which he can show his big brother when he comes to pick him up.

The Hollies is an exceptional nursery. It is homely, exciting and most important of all, genuinely caring. The staff respond to the children's needs and interests incredibly well, incorporating them into the daily activities in order to really involve all children equally. The outdoor space is unique
and is used very well, becoming an area for learning and exploration as well as fun and play. The menu changes at a sensible rate and provides new ideas for us to try at home too. The Hollies is a home from home with staff who are more like favourite aunties than anything else. It doesn't matter what time of day I have arrived, the children are always happy. I couldn't ask for more than that!

The Hollies Private Day Nursery Chorley is a lovely setting! The staff are warm friendly and experienced. They have nurtured our son's growth, interests and character over the last two and a half years, showing him genuine care and attention. The outdoor facilities are the best we've seen and having
animals on site is extra special. Our son is really happy at the nursery which means so are we.

Jo Hindle

Job Title: Nursery Manager Joined: 2023

Hi, my name is Jo and I have recently joined Hilltops as Nursery Manager following five years of experience at another Just Childcare setting.


I’ve worked in nurseries ever since leaving school, gaining my level two and three qualifications whilst studying at college. In more recent years, I have worked to broaden my experience in a trainee manager role whilst also working in residential homes.


I really enjoy working in Early Years and believe it’s such an important stage in a child’s life. Watching a child grow and develop knowing I have helped and supported them on their journey is extremely rewarding.


Away from work, I am the proud mum of a four-year-old boy and love spending my weekends going on trips, camping, or taking hikes with my family. I am always eager to adopt elements of this into my nurseries as I feel that outdoor and physical education is fundamental to a child’s development.


I look forward to meeting parents and discussing more about our nursery setting.
