Partou Hilltops Day Nursery & Pre-school in Chorley provides exceptional care and education for babies and children up to the age of five. Based in a beautiful Georgian property, the setting has an acre of outdoor space where children are encouraged to play every day.

Children at Hilltops enjoy a range of exciting learning activities. The team supports children in their development and helps to prepare them for school, involving parents by providing access to an online learning journal.

The experienced and qualified team at Hilltops holds paediatric first aid certificates and safeguarding training and many are qualified to Level 3 or above. All team members have undergone enhanced DBS checks and the nursery's CCTV and secure key fob door entry system provides added security and peace of mind.

The nursery offers funded childcare places to eligible families, and fees include milk, nappies, wipes, sun cream and healthy meals and snacks from the nursery menu.

Our daughter currently attends Hilltops and we are so happy that we chose this nursery for her. The atmosphere is always so warm and welcoming and the team have a genuine interest in each individual child which makes it the whole experience much more personal and nurturing. There are so many different
activities for the children to get involved in and lots of time spent outdoors in the garden with the resident bunnies! Our daughter can be quite shy but she has grown in confidence at Hilltops and absolutely loves her time there.

My daughter is settling in really well at Hilltops. The staff have really supported and cared for her since switching nurseries. She really enjoys getting to play outdoors more in the huge outdoor space and her independence has come on leaps and bounds.

We recently moved our two sons to Hilltops, and I can honestly say it's been one of the best decisions we've made. As any parent knows, changing nurseries can be a big transition, but the staff here made it incredibly smooth and reassuring for both us and the boys.
From the first day, the team welcomed
them with warmth and care, taking time to understand their personalities, interests, and needs. It's clear that the staff genuinely love what they do - their patience, energy, and attention to detail really stand out.
Both of our sons have settled in beautifully and come home every day happy, confident, and our eldest is full of stories about what they've learned and done. We've already seen growth in their communication and independence, which is so encouraging.
The nursery is clean, well-organized, and offers a great balance of structured learning and play. Communication with parents is also excellent.

I was extremely nervous about leaving my son for the first time. The Nursery manager was extremely patient and followed my son's lead in terms of settling in. On the first visit I knew I wanted to send my son here as the staff in the room was so kind and patient. The resources were lovely and they had
some really unique ideas about how to get a child's voice into the activities that they provide. For example they told me preschool children have a meeting each week and talk about how what they have liked and what they've enjoyed each week. my son took a very long time to settle but there was no rush to start him. I called lots of times to check on him and they sent me lots of pictures too. I would recommend this nursery very much!

After attending a walk around viewing at Hilltops I was elated with what I saw. The location is ideal and the nursery itself is presented so beautifully. The boho inspired decor throughout is so calming, honestly I could move in haha. I was impressed with everything on offer, especially the meal plans.
The fact that everything is home cooked and no microwave on site is such an important feature for myself as a parent. The outside area is large and accommodating for all ages, the bunnies are a super cute addition.


My little girl started attending for her settling in sessions wc 7/7/25. She instantly looked comfortable and had no problem with me leaving her. The staff provide regular updates via the app which I like. My girl has looked so happy each time I've collected her. Today she attended for her first full session and both myself and little girl are happy and comfortable.

Fantastic nursery, staff are very supportive and really go the extra mile. My little girl struggles with separation and staff have taken the time to get to know her and find strategies to support her with this, whilst reassuring me. Our son started at Hilltops a month ago and we're really happy with the care he is getting. The month before starting at nursery we were offered plenty of settling in sessions which made the transition easier for us all. The staff are so welcoming and friendly and our little boy has already formed an
attachment with the practitioners. The nursery has a lovely atmosphere and really personal feel and you can tell they really care about each child and their development. Communication through the app is great and it is lovely to see pictures/videos of different activities they do throughout the day. We are very happy with Hilltops and would highly recommend.

I was very hesitant to send my little one to nursery as he had always been with me only. However after our initial tour he felt so comfortable with the staff and in the nursery. It took a few settling in sessions to get him used to it, but now to see him thriving in nursery makes me feel so glad we

Job Title: Nursery Manager Joined: 2023

Hi, my name is Jo and I have recently joined Hilltops as Nursery Manager following five years of experience at another Just Childcare setting.


I’ve worked in nurseries ever since leaving school, gaining my level two and three qualifications whilst studying at college. In more recent years, I have worked to broaden my experience in a trainee manager role whilst also working in residential homes.


I really enjoy working in Early Years and believe it’s such an important stage in a child’s life. Watching a child grow and develop knowing I have helped and supported them on their journey is extremely rewarding.


Away from work, I am the proud mum of a four-year-old boy and love spending my weekends going on trips, camping, or taking hikes with my family. I am always eager to adopt elements of this into my nurseries as I feel that outdoor and physical education is fundamental to a child’s development.


I look forward to meeting parents and discussing more about our nursery setting.
