Chrysalis Day Nursery

I personally feel at ease knowing he is going to Chrysalis each day, he is safe and well looked after and he loves being there.

I have 2 children at Chrysalis, who love going in every morning and leave me without a backward glance if either need any reassurance staff are always quick to recognise and offer comfort, support and distraction. Recently been several changes made to the nursery in terms of equipment with a focus on sensory/Montessori-type learning. The children play outside every day and learn about the world around them. There is a strong focus on emotional literacy, which has helped our sons learn about and manage the big feelings of toddlerdom and navigate friendships with a clear understanding of kindness, sharing and turn-taking. The introduction of school-type routines such as register, carpet time and lunch routines means that my preschool son is slowly and subtly being prepared for the transition to primary school. There has been a child-led approach to number and letter recognition which has allowed my son to begin to learn about literacy and numeracy in a way that builds confidence.

Chrysalis go above and beyond! My son started part-time when he was 5 months old. I was a very nervous mum and questioned if I should be returning to work so soon but the staff and management team have been beyond amazing. In the early days, I would call up to get an update - I might have even called twice a day and they were so fab and reassuring. The management team would go down each time to check in on how he had been so they could give me an honest detailed update on mood/sleep/feeds etc. I know my son loves it there -he loves all the ladies who care for him. His face lights up when he sees them and now he is older he reaches over for hugs. I think the ladies in the butterfly room are fantastic - they have gone above and beyond what I think a nursery is there for - giving me tips for giving medication, confidence with weaning and ideas at home for weaning plus support for self-settling. I have been recommending Chrysalis to everyone- I think it is truly a hidden gem.

They update you every day via an app and are always on hand should you have any questions/want an update throughout the day.

I have two children at Chrysalis and I am more than pleased with the decision to use this nursery. One of my children attended another setting prior to starting at Chrysalis and the difference between the two nurseries was extremely apparent at the onset. I have had experience of my children being in each room that the setting has to offer, at various different times and throughout their time in each of the rooms, my children have enjoyed themselves and flourished. The staff are both caring and professional, which is one aspect that I feel is crucial when entrusting them with your child’s daily care. There have been some positive changes recently since being under new management and I feel the nursery has gone from strength to strength. I would have no hesitation in recommending Chrysalis as a childcare provider.

The nursery feels like a home from home. My little one runs in without a second guess or look back at me, which is so reassuring as a parent. The staff are welcoming, they listen, give advice and show so much care with the children. I know he is always in great hands, safe and loved at Chrysalis.

A wonderful nursery! My son is tube fed and requires extra support during his time at nursery. I can't put into words how brilliant the staff have been. It's a lot to take on, but they have learnt everything they need to be able to care for my son. All of the ladies that have cared for my child have been absolutely lovely. But when I first met one of the staff members in Caterpillars, I just instantly warmed to her and I think she was the perfect key worker for my son to start his nursery journey with. Moving up to his new room seemed such a big step, but he now loves shouting all the ladies names when he should be sleeping. One staff member in particular has definitely made an impression on my little boy. He's always excited to get out of the car and isn't very good at hiding his disappointment if it isn't her that answers the door. Whenever I see any of the ladies from the whole nursery, everybody seems to know my son and has something lovely to say, about our cheeky, happy boy, when passing.

Both my children attended this nursery. My daughter, who has now started school, barely spoke when she started nursery at two and a half years old, and within weeks, her language skills flourished! My children made so many friends and couldn't stop talking about the ladies who looked after them. This nursery has its own in-house chef who creates some amazing meals for the children each day. I'm sad that my children have grown up and left the nursery because the love and care those ladies have for the children is remarkable! I would recommend this nursery 100% to anybody!

We have loved being part of the Chrysalis Day Nursery family! My twin boys developed so much during their time here and everyday they told me exciting stories of what they'd been up to all day... and how much lovely food they'd enjoyed! Having previously left a nursery environment we were unhappy with, we felt welcomed from day one here and I always felt complete trust in the care of the staff. Now off to big school, we'll miss this nursery very much... and have only lovely things to say about it.

Our daughter has been going to Chrysalis full-time for just over three and a half years. She joined the cocoons class and it felt like she'd always been there in terms of fitting in. She has come on incredibly well during this time and there is no doubt the Chrysalis setting and staff have played a major part in helping her become this wonderful and kind little girl. The app is brilliant, I've really enjoyed getting daily updates of their activities with photos, lots of variety. My daughter talks about individual members of staff as if they are family and you can see the staff have a great bond with her. They spend plenty of time outdoors and there are different activities everyday. The staff are friendly and always will give a update on our daughter at pickup. The nativity play was amazing and also the nursery graduation ceremony was fantastic! The meals prepared by the nursery chef are fantastic and our daughter absolutely enjoyed them. I would highly recommend this nursery.

My children have loved attending the summer holiday club. They both enjoyed the range of activities and the interaction with staff. The numbers are small enough for each child to feel valued, whilst having a number of other children to interact with. I can't recommend the holiday club enough, I've already been asked to book them back in for Christmas.

I can't recommend this nursery enough. My eldest went there when he was little, so I knew this was the only place to send my youngest. The staff are amazing and nothing is any trouble. The app is great to see what your little one has been up to, as well as pictures. My youngest loves his three days there and always has a smile on his face for 'his ladies'.

The staff keep you well-informed with all activities carried out throughout the day, either face-to-face or through the app. I must also say they have a great chef as my child loves the food but somehow not mine. Highly recommend Chrysalis Day Nursery.

The nursery is very welcoming from when we looked around for a place for our child to this day everyone is friendly with many years of experience. They have a good system to view what your child has done throughout the day and they do a lot of artwork to bring home which I didn’t get from other places! My little one is enjoying it so that makes me happy and relaxed.

The nursery staff are all so lovely and have been fantastic at helping my child settle into the nursery setting. I love the app which gives me an insight into their day what they’ve eaten, played with etc and how they are getting on. Since being at the nursery my child has grown in confidence.

We moved last summer so had to change nurseries and never thought I'd find one as good as the one she'd been going to. I was wrong, my daughter loved it straight away. She joined the pre-school class in September and it felt like she'd always been there in terms of fitting in. She has come on incredibly well these past few months. The Christmas nativity was fantastic and it's been wonderful hearing her sing all the songs she's learnt. I always feel well informed and enjoy collecting her and hearing about her day from the excellent staff. The app is brilliant, I've really enjoyed getting daily updates of their activities with photos, lots of variety. My daughter talks about individual members of staff as if they are family and you can see the staff have a great bond with her. They spend plenty of time outdoors and they have accommodated my daughter's vegan diet with no issues. I would highly recommend this nursery, especially being able to compare with a previous nursery.

My children both adore the nursery staff and I've had brilliant encounters with them at every drop-off/collection. Beautiful facility and so nurturing. Any time I needed to check in or needed reassurance they're there and so happy to calm a nervous mum's anxieties.

My daughter started at nursery in August 2022 and we have been really happy with the service. My daughter loves going to nursery and has already started doing things that she wasn't doing at home and that is definitely to do with the support from nursery. The staff are really friendly and approachable. I am so happy with the choice we made. The nursery ensures that we are kept up to date with everything our daughter does during the day and what she has to eat. I love how the staff treat the kids like their own. I have only positive things to say about the staff and environment!
