A BRIGHT AND SPACIOUS NURSERY IN WARRINGTON
Recently refurbished nursery in Callards offering high-quality care and education for children aged 3 months to 5 years, with an added holiday club for children aged up to 11 years.

The well-qualified team of highly motivated, enthusiastic and experienced staff work together to provide a well-balanced programme of fun activities and learning experiences, within a carefully planned curriculum with a unique Ready for School programme. Fostering an enjoyment of early literacy and maths, with a Growing Readers, Writers and Mathematicians Enhancement, helping children to recognise letters, words and numbers in their environment.

Callands nursery has a spacious outdoor play area with separate gardens for each age group. Children enjoy using balance bikes, mini rocking horses, hula-hoops and the wooden tepee.

Support for your child also extends beyond regular nursery hours, they also offer a holiday club for children aged 3 months to 11 years where they can participate in a range of fun activities.

With all-inclusive fees, which means you have less to pack on a busy morning, the onsite meals are prepared with nutrition in mind. From healthy lunches and snacks to your chosen branded nappies and wipes included in the fees.

The nursery has been awarded an Ofsted rating of ‘Good’ (Oct 2019) for their commitment to high quality childcare and education.

I couldn't recommend the staff or nursery enough. Every day I know my son is going to a safe, fun and interesting environment. Nutrionally his needs are met and often interesting new flavours are introduced to help him develop. I'm confident that every day he'll come home having been well cared for.

Bright Horizons Callands day Nursery was the first nursery that I looked around. Instantly I felt at ease the manager was friendly and happy to answer all of my many questions. Everyone really has the children's best interests at heart. My daughter has settled so very well better than I could have hoped
and it is down to all the lovely ladies that work there. I cannot recommend this nursery enough!

Feels safe place. My child is almost always happy. The staff are very friendly, compassionate and caring


Few things need improving. Children need more privacy in the toilets. I also think there is a big room to expand on teaching and preparing the child to enter the school. I would love formal and

structured handover from the staff when parents collecting their kids.

I have used the emergency back up care for my daughter several times and each time she has attended, all of the staff in the room have made her feel so comfortable and welcome. Loads of toys and activities to keep her busy. Very spacious nursery with good healthy food offered.

I would rate the nursery highly. My eldest son attended the nursery from 10 months old until 4 years old and I currently have my youngest son there. I find all staff members friendly and supportive to the children. Any concerns I have ever had my son's key worker has always been there to talk to, along
with the management team.
I feel my son has progressed through out his time at the nursery making new friends and continually learning in each key stage.

My son really enjoys coming to nursery. He has settled well due to the care and genuine love and affection he receives. The communication and support from the staff is excellent and we feel like we know how he is developing regularly. The range of activities on offer is also improving my son's sensory

Excellent nursery and staff. My daughter loves coming to nursery here and never has an issue. From day one, the staff have been so friendly and made us feel so welcome. It's like taking your child to a family member. You feel safe leaving them with the staff and our daughter cannot wait to go to nursery
each day and talks about all the fun things she's done with her friends and the teachers (as she calls them) each evening. I love the idea of the communication book and love looking st the photos of what our daughter has been up to in nursery.
I really can't fault the nursery at all. They are happy for us to choose what days she needs to go in as I work part time but not on set days. They are very helpful over this.

The staff at Callands are great with our son, he has progressed really way since starting nursery. He has tried a wide range of food, made friends and he really enjoys the amazing outside space. We also always get a well-written summary of the day.

My one year old loves coming to nursery and the staff make it very easy for me to drop off in the mornings. Staff feel like an extended family and we are happy for them to have such an impact on our little ones learning and growing. Cannot fault the care that they give on a daily basis.

All three of my kids have gone/are going through this nursery having started at six months old. We are extremely happy with every aspect of their care there. The baby room is very well run, the girls there know each child very well and can preempt their needs. They have a real affection for the kids
and I feel secure and happy leaving my youngest there when I go to work. The food/chef is fab. Always healthy food with fresh veg and fruit. The kids have always eaten very well there. My other child is in preschool and she loves it. I feel it prepares her well for reception next year in terms of numbers/letters/writing her name etc. Most importantly she loves her teachers. The room is a well-oiled machine in the room leader's care as it is a busy room. The staff go out of their way too for the kids every day. I would recommend this nursery to friends. Also, the outdoor space is fantastic, it beats all other nurseries that we looked at originally. Plenty of grass, space to play and get dirty!!

My daughter has attended this fantastic nursery since she was 10 months old and has just left at 4 years old ready to start school.
From start to finish the staff and care have been above and beyond and I cannot fault them at all.
Amazing staff and facilities and will be missed dearly.
Highly recommend
this nursery so happy with my choice and my daughter has developed so well all thanks to the lovely, friendly nursery nurses.

I have used the emergency back up care for this nursery several times due to having no childcare for my son, the management team were really helpful and the care was really easy to set up. Each time I have been, I have always experienced excellent care from the staff. Every member of staff that we came
across made us feel welcome. I cannot fault anything about the nursery.

Fantastic nursery with plenty of educational activities. My daughter absolutely loves coming and has learnt so much already despite only starting in June. The staff are brilliant. Very friendly, always there to help and offer plenty of support, not just to my daughter but to us as a family. The nutritional

Both my children attend kidsunlimited Day Nursery - Callands. There is genuine care received from the staff, my children have excellent relationships with the staff and their key person. The nursery has a fantastic outdoor space, my daughter loves the mud kitchen outdoors and loves the role play area
with dolls, would definitely recommend the nursery.

I would like to thank all of the staff at the day nursery Callands for the fantastic care my daughter receives. The staff have shown so much support, enthusiasm and love for my 2 children over the years. Nothing is too much trouble for them. They go out of their way to take a keen interest in my children's likes, talking about their individual interests, family life and well-being. We could not ask for better
care for our 2 children and appreciate all of the hard work, commitment and time that the staff put in with all the children in their care.

Job Title: Nursery Manager

Kate has been a valued member of the Bright Horizons family since 2008. Before stepping into their current role, she was the Deputy Manager at one of the Bright Horizons nurseries in Liverpool, where she gained extensive experience supporting children and families from diverse backgrounds.


Passionate about helping children learn, grow, and thrive, Kate takes great pride in their role as SEND Coordinator. She finds it incredibly rewarding to collaborate with families and support children in reaching their full potential, continually drawing inspiration from the progress each child achieves.


Kate holds a BA (Hons) in Learning Development and Support, which has played a key role in shaping their commitment to delivering exceptional care and guidance for every child she works with.

Charlotte

Job Title: Deputy Manager Joined: 2012

Charlotte joined Callands in 2012 as a student after completing her Level 3 diploma in childcare and later became a full-time staff member in the Toddler room. While studying Education and Childcare Studies at Liverpool Hope University, she continued working at Callands as bank staff.


In her final year, she gained her Level 3 Forest School qualification and returned as Deputy Manager in 2018, having previously worked as a room leader.


Charlotte is passionate about her work, enjoys building relationships with families, and loves watching the children grow. Outside of work, she enjoys family days out with her daughter, Penelope.
