Bright Horizons Kirkby Day Nursery and Preschool

From the get go we had nothing but a welcoming feeling, the staff are very supportive and keep us up to date. The opening times are even more of a bonus but I honestly couldn't recommend this nursery enough, my child has came on so much and comes home that I know she's only learnt from nursery. A fantastic team led by incredible management.

I couldn't recommend the nursery enough. My 14 month old son has been attending here for 5 months now. I was a nervous first time mum going back to work after maternity leave. Still breastfeeding and worried he would struggle without me. He has formed an amazing bond with his key worker and other staff. He has gone from strength to strength and it's all down to the attention and care he gets on a day to day basis. I find the app updates really reassuring and it makes my day when I see how well he is doing. A wonderful team.

Honestly could not recommend this nursery enough! Both of my daughters have attended Bright Horizons Kirkby Day Nursery and have both had such positive experiences whilst attending. I believe the staff and facilities gave my oldest daughter the best start in life to go on to be a confident, bright little girl when starting school. A home away from home setting that gives me such comfort when dropping my toddler off with ease who currently attends the nursery. Making my life as a full time working parent much easier!! From the managers to the staff each and every person that works here are very welcoming, knowledgeable and treats your child like family! Wouldn't dream of putting my children anywhere else, 10/10 service!!

My 1 year old daughter has been in attendance of Bright Horizons Kirkby Day Nursery and Preschool for three months now. I am overwhelmed with the service and care from every member of staff in regard to my daughter starting. She has grown up so much and settled in very well, due to the excellent service provided by staff. The care that has been provided is above and beyond; communication home is exceptional and you are made to feel like part of an extended family. I love sending my little girl here and couldn't imagine her being anywhere else. Thank you so much for making such a big moment in my daughter's life so much easier.

You won’t find a better nursery than Bright Horizons Kirkby, my grandson attends 4 days a week and my older grandson previously attended. The staff are fantastic, friendly and knowledgeable and nothing is too much trouble. The level of care provided is amazing and I wouldn’t trust my grandchildren with anyone.

The staff at Bright Horizons Kirkby Day Nursery and Preschool have been very supportive since our daughter joined in June 2023. Our daughter has medical needs which the staff have been brilliant with and have taken on extra training to make sure her needs are met. We are grateful to all the team at the nursery for looking after our daughter so well and we are reassured knowing she is in excellent hands if a medical situation occurs in their care.

I absolutely love this nursery for my little boy. The staff go above and beyond, the handover is always detailed and linked with the app. I always feel involved in my child’s learning and wouldn’t send him anywhere else. If I could rate the care and staff more than 5 I would.

We are over the moon with the nursery since our daughter started here in June 2023. We have been consistently impressed with the care shown for her by all of the staff and the way she has developed over the last few months. She really loves going the that is the best compliment we can give! She loves the food, often eating all of whatever she is given, the food is healthy, varied and clearly very tasty. We love the app and the info we can get from it every day. All things considered, we are extremely happy we chose this nursery for our daughter.

I would highly recommend this nursery. When my little girl started in April at the age of 2, she was a little unsure and unhappy about being left as all she had known was family. Although she had a settling-in period she was still a little shy and would get upset when I left but the staff would comfort her and make her feel safe and settled. They would also send me a picture so I knew she was happy. Now 5 months later she is happy when I drop her off for the day and is always excited at the end of the day to tell me all about it. She also eats really well and tries different foods at the nursery that she wouldn't normally at home. The nursery is very clean and tidy. The staff are all very friendly and helpful and one thing I did pick up on is they all know the names of each child individually. I have always felt supported by the staff when it has come to changes in my child (potty training) and there have been occasions when I've needed extra hours and if they can accommodate they will.

My little boy has recently moved into the nursery room and his confidence has grown massively, he’s starting to join in with his peers and become more involved in the activities going ahead. It’s lovely to see updates and photos of him on the app.

I am really delighted to recommend this nursery. I first contacted them last year and attended for a walk around with the nursery manager. I was impressed by the experience and commitment of the staff, and the cleanliness and organisation of the nursery itself. I was pleased to enrol my son to start in October and felt really well supported by the settling in sessions. Staff are friendly and helpful, and create an atmosphere that is happy for the children and reassuring for parents. Having been here for almost 5 months I have been so relieved at how well my son settled in. He is clearly happy here, enjoys his day, eats well and remarkably he actually does nap! I always receive an update at pick up as to how the day has gone and follow along via the app whilst I’m at work. I have no hesitation in recommending this excellent nursery to other parents.

He really enjoys his time there and the staff in the nursery room are really approachable, my son has a great connection with them all. I am really happy with the healthy meals he is given.

As a family we love Kirkby Day Nursery, my nephew is 20 months old and has been attending for almost a year. I help my sister with pick up and drop off and the staff are really friendly and approachable. My nephew loves nursery, he is always happy to go in and never wants to go home! I would recommend this nursery to anyone wanting a loving and caring environment.

My 19-month-old son has attended Kirkby Day since he was 12 months old and I've been delighted so far with the care he has received throughout this time. The staff are fantastic with him, they communicate well with myself and I find the nursery app really beneficial, as it gives me all the information I need about his day. My older son who is now 8 years old attended the nursery when he was younger and I didn't hesitate to go back, the standards have been consistently high. I would highly recommend this nursery.

I have been attending this nursery over the past five years with my children and would highly recommend it. The rooms are kept clean and fully equipped for all the appropriate ages. All the staff have been amazing, especially through the pandemic and care for the children as their own. My children's social skills have improved and they thoroughly enjoy all the activity-based learning, that is provided. Communication from the nursery has always been good and has improved with the introduction of the app.

This nursery is just outstanding! No words can describe the level of care offered by the staff and the relationship and trust they have built with both my husband and I, and most importantly our daughter. She has been in nursery for 3 and a half months which was a difficult decision at the time and made so much more manageable due to this nursery. She is so excited every day about attending and speaks about activities she has been part of every day. I can't recommend this nursery enough and I'm just thankful I found it and hope when she leaves we can find a school offering the same standard of care. I love that they are passionate about my daughters education and encourage learning and development on a daily basis she has progressed so well I'm so proud of her and so thankful to the staff.

Our daughter has only been in the nursery for a short time, but she absolutely loves it. The staff are lovely and are really genuine. So glad we chose this nursey, she has come on so much within the last two months.

Brilliant staff, my son loves it there. My son has special needs and the attention and care given to him is amazing. He leaves this year and I just hope the school he is going to is as good as this nursery. Thanks.

My children have both loved coming to this nursery and have made amazing progress. My little girl has amazing friendships with the children and she has made such strong bonds with all the staff members. Every single member of staff go above and beyond for her and they still always ask after my son who left nursery two years ago. I just wish she didn't have to leave.
