Partou Best Friends Day Nursery & Pre-school in Mosley Common has been providing exceptional care and education for babies and children since 1998.

In 2021, the nursery moved to a modern, purpose-built building located on Parr Bridge Retail Park, with five bright and spacious playrooms that promote social and physical development. Children enjoy plenty of extra-curricular activities including swimming lessons and Spanish classes alongside having access to an incredible sensory room and large soft play area.

Modern outdoor environments include a second-floor open area terrace as well as a fabulous all-weather sensory garden, mud kitchen, and dedicated baby green. Parents can keep track of their child’s activities and development using the nursery’s online learning journal.

Delicious, nutritious meals and snacks are freshly prepared in the nursery kitchen, providing children with a balanced diet bursting with fresh vegetables, fruit, meat and fish.

Partou Best Friends is located on Mosley Common Road, just off the A580 East Lancashire Road, within easy reach of Tyldesley and Ellenbrook.

Best Friends Nursery is a fabulous nursery. The staff in all the rooms are lovely, very friendly and cannot do enough for my boys and myself.
Every day my 2 boys run into nursery. They absolutely love attending Best Friends. I can tell that as it takes an age to get them to the car in the evening.
Every day their day is structured, with so many fun activities crammed in. It's very much child-led learning. If one child has a particular interest the staff adapt their days play/learning to include it.
It's been an absolute pleasure to see the confidence growing in both my boys and that's thanks to the dedication and care from Best Friends.

I would definitely recommend Best Friends Nursery. I have always felt very comfortable leaving my daughter there, from our very first visit. The staff are always friendly and welcoming, my daughter is always happy to go to them so I know that she is happy too.

I reviewed a few local nurseries which were all brilliant. However, the friendly, nurturing feel at Best Friends really helped me to relax when leaving my son for the first time. Although I don't know all of the staff I just appreciate the authentic way of them all. I have seen all ages of children
being cared for in a way as if they were their own children. Thank you! The activities and reporting of anything is thorough and always monitored with great care. It has a lovely, caring, playful setting which I feel is essential for child development. Keep it up Best Friends.

My little girl has settled in perfectly in the Tinies room. She absolutely loves going to nursery now. She is 20 months old, she claps hands when we get there and always goes running up to the girls. They are a credit to the nursery, always so welcoming and helped my daughter settle in perfectly. One
is especially brilliant with my daughter, I can tell she feels very comfortable with her from the second we arrive. 5 star nursery and can't give them enough stars!

Best Friends Private Day Nursery is outstanding and I confidently leave my 2 year old there when I work. He adores his key worker and gets on brilliantly with all the staff and other children. He has been attending part-time since he was 9 months old and has developed from a painfully clingy baby into
an outgoing, brave little boy. We have every intention of sending him to Best Friends until he is ready for school. The staff are highly skilled and have lots of fun and inventive ideas to fill the days. The food is fantastic and my little boy eats everything he is given, usually asking for more. The new management team are very responsive and never hesitate to help if I need to ask about anything. Five stars!

I couldn't compliment this nursery more, my son has been here a little over two months and there has never been an issue. He has settled very quickly, within days to be exact. He is very content with his key workers, who are absolutely lovely and clearly in the right job. And as a mother, this makes
me very happy to know that he clearly enjoys himself here and is not unsettled in any way.
From day one we were impressed with everything from the overall welcome we received, the information we were given (particularly in regards to Pre- School years and helpful information/help with choosing a possible primary school) and general first impressions - everything is clearly very clean and hygienic. Staff are friendly and professional, we knew we didn't need to view any more nurseries after visiting Best Friends. This nursery more than earns the monthly fee - which considering the hard work and long hours they do - is very reasonable.
Overall we are very happy we chose Best Friends!

Our girls like attending the nursery, they enjoy the activities and they get along with the staff and other kids very well. We recently moved to Manchester and was pressed for a place for our kids due to work commitments, they provided flexibility with the notice period we had to provide and this really
helped us especially with having a set schedule. However, I should mention that their policy of providing four weeks notice before changing any sessions is imperative but overall they are very understanding and fair.
There was a time we battled with collecting the girls on time and no matter how many times it happened, the team offered their support and waited for us to arrive, we were so impressed with this and cannot be more grateful for them.
Overall, the team is amazing and the quality of the education and care is outstanding.

Open and welcoming setting.
Staff are very friendly.
The rooms are open, clean and fun to look at.


The only problem is the lack of communication between staff.

My daughter has been attending Best Friends since 6mths, she is now in Pre-School. Every room she has been in she has loved, and the staff have always been helpful and absolutely brilliant with her. The inside ball pool means that even in wet weather she can have some fun exercise, and with each room
having their own dedicated outdoor play area she gets loads of fresh air. I would recommend the nursery to anyone looking for a place to send their little one. The food they eat is top notch, even if she wouldn't eat some of the food at home, amazing what peer pressure does!

My daughter attended Best Friends nursery from October 2014 until leaving earlier this year due to relocating.
The staff in the baby room were excellent, so were the staff in the toddler room who were very helpful in supporting her with potty training.


What I feel was a slight let down was the constant

change in staff, either from one room to another or leaving altogether (some excellent ones too). I lost count of the amount of times the manager changed. This had a knock on effect as I don't think issues were addressed as proficiency as they should have been and it certainly lost the personal touch it once had.


Overall, a good nursery which I'm sure could be great again with a long-term manager who gets to know the children and parents and looks after their staff.
